How long is left on delphs contract - may be next to extend his deal hopefully.

Great news and with the new signings the feel good factor at the club is great - exciting times ahead.

Jack Woodward mentioned lambert being there - nice for the kids to know the manager is keeping an eye on them .

Good news and lets hope he can rediscover his best form next season - last season he looked below par too many times.

I signed up to watch the matches on the ipad but now i find that they are saying he games can't be viewed in ipad due to some software issue - pity they never said that when advertised.

Do you have a computer you can watch it on?

Yes I have a laptop but the avtv subscription is for i tunes and only for ipad and now they are saying the games cannot be shown live on there - they have asked me to apply to apple for a refund and then subscribe to the pc version of avtv as they cannot do it themselves.

Bit of a pain but hopefully it will be sorted before the weekend - let it be a warning to anyone buying avtv on apple though - the lives games will not be shown on ipad or iTunes and they do not tell you that until afterwards.

Is there any official confirmation that genk have a sell on clause or is it just speculation?

Lambert will probably have him in for a chat and assess his frame of mind before training - if he's prepared to knuckle down then let him stay with the squad but if he's sulking or looking to go then stick him with the likes of Ireland and co -

We don't want any bad feeling getting through to the main squad.

Will be interesting to see whether lambert has benteke training with the first team today or not - thats if he trains at all of course.

Benteke is as much at fault as his agent , he isn't naive - he said the day he came that one day he wished to play for arsenal, he used genk in the same way - if he goes to spurs he will be looking for another move before long - reminds me of anelka - another greedy sulky footballer.

Lambert has great contacts and a good scouting set up - he will no doubt be aware of players that we have probably no idea about- his dealing so far suggest he he has an eye for talent , I'd trust him to replace benteke pretty well.

It may be a while before we spend a £7million fee on one player and I am including if Benteke leaves for big money.

Not sure on that , I think if benteke goes lambert may spend £10m on a player.

Ideally, we could use the Benteke money to buy Kiyotake and a striker.

Indeed, pity bony has moved to Swansea as i think bony and kiyotake would have been superb signings.

Lot of Irish connections bankrolling Doncaster - maybe they have some outside cash helping to pay his wages - we may pay a percentage but i expect it will not be too high.

If he stays and performs well and trains well he will have my backing , if he starts sulking and acts like Stephen Ireland then we have a big problem - remember dwight yorke at everton ?

I think outside the top 6 there's not a lot to choose from the rest - If Albion could finish 8th so could we - if we lose bnteke its a blow but i think lambert has spent well and will do so again - I'm optimistic about the season ahead.

we now have spurts fans discussing with each other on a villa forum.

I'm no spurs fan -season ticket holder at villa for years and fan for 34 years .

Spurs i believe are trying to get their deals done before bale is sold and the asking fee rises - without bale they will not be a top 4 threat next season even with bnteke .

It's a big career mistake by him to leave villa now - he should have waited one more year and gone to far bigger than spurs .

It's good we have put a time limit on any benteke deal, the last thing we need is it dragging on for weeks - i expect lambert has contacts watching possible replacements .

Parker is too old now and past his best , huddlestone is an ok player when fit but injury prone - the other 2 wouldn't be acceptable either so dig deep levy and pay up the cash.

I think bony would have been a great replacement - pity Swansea have nabbed him- lambert i expect will have irons in the fire.
