  1. As for the first point, aren't these figures taken from a self selecting poll where less than 10% of the industry replied?

As for the second point, 3 or 4 days ago you said you thought it laughable that a GP should be responsible for his own budget. I think he should. I asked who you thought should be., I dont know you think should be responsible.

As for the NHS as a whole, I think it is fantastic. However I also think changes are necessary. I think there are far too many people in suits and far to few people in uniforms. Now how changes come about I don't know. However, I dont think you have to re invent the wheel. Just look at other countries and see what works and cherry pick from that

  2. So we basically have tory supporters on here who rather than try and defend and explain why these god awful policies are good try and deflect by mentioning iraq, try and get definition of slave labour or say that as only a few people answered a poll the nhs is safe (despite most people expressing concern).

Shame that despite all these deflctions the real issues of vindictive gvmt still exists with a desire to kill off the nhs, continue aggresive foreign policy, erode any sort of workers rights etc while still defending those who help their own party.

Its actually quite funny to see some of the weak and feeble attempts but shows that when they are more interested by things like millibands appearance than what destruction cameron clegg and gideon are doing. Maybe using previous logic the fact cameron could not even get a majority but had to rely on his cuckold pal clegg should be worthy of comment.

Just wondering where you got this fact from?

You really should actually read previous posts.

Maybe you would like to defend the NHS changes as proposed and say why the majority of the Professional bodies that Cameron etc said were for the changes are now against it?

So where did you get your fact from?

If it was those links, havent they been called into question. Such a small response. Perhaps the headline should have read a bit like the Kit e Kat advert and read those who expressed a preference (Kit e kat used to just say 8 out of 10 owners prefered it, but they were made to change it because it was deliberately misleading

and also whilst I'm on it, a few pages back you said you couldn't understand why a GP should run his finances.I asked who you thought should do it? You still haven't answered.

  4. responsibility and accountability - why someone thinks a GP should have financial control's is beyond me unless of course a private company will do it for them?).

I'm just wondering who you think should have financial control of a GP's surgery?

Is a GP employed for their financial skills?

He isn't employed for his HR skills either but he probably has to employ people.

but I didn't ask that. I asked who you think should do it?

  6. The way I see it is, as Union membership itself is falling, then it would be difficult for me to believe that support for unions amongst the general public, wouldn't follow the same trend.

Without going in to the difficulties in the correlation of the two (union membership and wider public support), declining public support does not equal very little public support.

yes you are right. but as I say, I would find it hard to believe that if one is falling the other wouldn't follw the same trend. That said, is it very little support, I dont know? but I believe it is falling.

  7. well I did a quick google and found on the FT website that unite has lost about 260,000 in the last 5 years. Now that report was 6 months old, but I doubt it could have risen by that much even at all. And their website banner suggests it hasn't risen at all

  8. I'd say outside of it's members the Unions have very little publc support

Do you have any decent evidence to support that or is it just an anti-union prejudiced view?

The way I see it is, as Union membership itself is falling, then it would be difficult for me to believe that support for unions amongst the general public, wouldn't follow the same trend.

  9. I think we are really underestimating them to be honest. Its their first real season in the first team. At a time when there is much upheavel and a lack of confidence throughout the team. I blame the last part on AM. If you think about it they have played at about the same level as Nzog or possibly milner in his first season. Sometimes they just need games under there belt

  10. Well I think the title which translates as work makes. However the context of the phrase is undisputedly linked to concentration camps in Germany. It is particularly linked to Auschwitz 1. I'll wager there are few who dont link that phrase to Nazi Germany. To many, the phrase is as obnoxious as the N word.

If you dont agree with the policy, fine. No need to link it to the Holocaust

  11. Yeah I read the article a while back. And realised as its Canadian it wasn't refering to The UK Conservative Party, but conservatism in general. The prejudice I was talking about was your statement that they all have a complete lack of understanding of what is right and correct.

  12. "If friction causes heat, how many throbs of a Donkeys knob, does it take to boil a kettle"

Mickey Franklin when asked by the ref what on earth he was thinking about, whilst playing for speedwell, South Birmingham league circa 1976

    Still makes me smile
