I think religion has been useful. Whichever book you read in the main wanted the individual to be generally a good person. And the quickest way to spread this was through religion. Now I know there have been countless wars, but that's over the different types of religion rather than the message in the book. I could liken it a bit to Microsoft. It probably wasn't the best but 40 to 50 years ago we all learned the basics of operating a computer pretty much the same way.
I would also bet for every bad vicar, priest, imam or rabbai, there would be 100 good peace loving ones.
I'm atheist just so people don't think there's any angle.

During the Jacobite revolution, Many towns in northern England were pro James for the throne. However Newcastle people were strongly against this and were pro George 1
They were given the nickname Georgies which a while later became Geordie
Liverpool was one of the major ports. As such it attracted many Scandinavian sailors. One of the cheap meat recipes they bought over with them was a slow cooker stew called Lobscouse.
Ships cargo was stored in warehouses at the riverfront which led to the term Wharf.

Love the team spirit, unity and general positive atmosphere/environment in the club and between the players… a genuinely happy bunch enjoying their football and time together, learning so much under their elite manager and coach. All working together and determined to achieve success… let’s do this!!!
This so much. I'm staying in respite in Yorkshire. Plenty of blokes talk football. One thing I keep hearing is they've got a good team spirit at Villa.

6 wins out of 12 sounds nice but we have Man City away, Arsenal away and Liverpool at home 2nd last game when they may be gunning for the title.
I know they aren't automatic losses but being cautious take those out and its 6 wins out of 9.
Its why the Luton game is massive.
Tottenham have Palace Luton and Notts Forest as their next 3 at home coming up and their last 2 games will be against already relegated Burnley and Sheffield United.
I honestly think it comes down to the next 2 games for us, winning v Luton and Spurs.
Just checked but Spurs still have Man C Arsenal and pool to play as well. Kinda negates the arguement

I thought about Baily, but I think he's a confidence player, I'd be worried if he missed how it might affect him

For far too long we've never had to think of this. This season in the ECL it could possibly be the case. So who's your line up. Mine in no particular order
Dougie
Youri
Lucas
Pau
SJM
All good clean strikers of the ball.
Though we'd only need three with Emi in goal

Just saw this. Great man, great player.
Former Northern Ireland, Southampton and Aston Villa defender Chris Nicholl has passed away.

How do European spots pan out if 5th place get champions league? Currently we get 7 places (4CL 2EL and 1ECL)
I know if you win a European trophy you qualify as well, Wet Spam this year.
But if we get 5 CL spots next year does the premiere league get 8 spots overall or do we lose a EL or ECL spot.

I wonder how many other players think, well I've played for other managers but nothing like this. He can only make me better.

Just checked this out for my brother, but he's too old for the Harwich drive. Anyway here's what I come up with. Harwich to hook of holland. 8 am departure. Arrives 17:15 hook of holland 17:15. 1 hour drive to Amsterdam. Overnight Amsterdam. Drive to hook of holland for 14: 00 depart arrives in Harwich 20:00.
Total cost for four people £322.80 or £80.75 per head.

I'm thinking of changing my energy suppliers.
From red bull to lucozade.
Picking my son up from school, chatting to the bloke next to me. He said what year is he in.
I said 2024 you wierdo

I'm wondering if the increase in commas is due to the increase frequency of the word like. Which seems to be a spoken comma.
I went to the cinema like bought some popcorn like then settled into my seat.
Or the best
Like she was so ladylike like.

Just got the email back from them, pretty much thanks for the complaint, unfortunately we're going to do bigger all, hope it didn't ruin your experience.
Feel I should go after them a bit. Reading their corporate policy, act lawfully ethically and in the public interest. Human rights are non negotiable. Which it any of these, if ,any should I question.

Costa Coffee. Haven't used one in quite a while. Never since I've been in a wheelchair. I was early for my hospital appointment yesterday, so I thought I'd have one. I went to the machine, start order, fine. I want a latte. I can't reach it and it doesn't scroll. Had to ask for help. I think it's poor that I can't any drink or food on the top row.
I've complained on their website. But I don't think I've said enough how poor it is in 500 characters. Especially poor in a hospital environment.

Probably the top 8 get europe. Currently Brighton are 9th with a better goal difference.
