  1. I noticed today that the winner from x factor Cordel or something has a book on sale in Morrisons. Now how the hell did he write a book get it published get it printed and through a distribution network all in about 2 weeks, unless of course he knew he would win beforhand

What an exciting story that must be. For for 25 years I had a really **** boring life, ate Chinese takeaway every weekend and drank beer, then I was on the X factor, which was alright. The ultimate retard's book.

Horrible surprise for you tomorrow if you unwrap it then?

    absolute nightmare

  2. yup tons of advice. first give me a clue as to what size car you have and what countries you would like to see. also what tent do you have. These give me an idea on what space you have and what you can take. Biggest advice first if you can, go from mid june to mid july It will be good weather but outside the school hols when everything rockets in price. First though I have got to watch some cricket, so cant reply for a good few hours

PS do you shop at tesco?

  3. And of course Ketchup which according to a lot on here should be kept in the fridge, but isn't kept in the fridge in the supermarket (although i keep my ketchup in the cupboard)
    "Refrigerate after opening".

why? 15 years ago ketchup, HP etc never had that little silver foil on top and you didn't have to keep it in the fridge then. Basically ketchup is tomatoes pickled in vinegar, but you don't have to chill onions, red cabbage, cucumber, walnuts, cauliflower (picallili) or eggs. Its just a marketing thing chilling it makes it sound fresh, same applies to sunny delight.

    Note never touch sunny delight

  4. the largest number known to man is called Graham after professor graham. this ends in a 7, it was discovered in the 70's. Prior to this the largest number known was a googolplex. The zeroes in a googleplex would fill every atom in the universe, a Graham is massively larger

  5. Why are refs untouchable, we talk about technology but the problem is refs do not know their own rules! If the shoe was on the other foot everyone would be talking bout it! Knowing our luck the fat prat will ref our next home game!

no I want him to ref us in the FA cup final. The only reason he didnt send vidic off is because of Man u fulham where he sent 2 off, he remembered that today. He knows he owes us

  6. Has he made any comment on it as to why he didnt send him off. As I understand the rules if you are the last man and prevent a goal scoring opportunity by commiting a foul it is a red card.

I think I have seen enough football to know how refs generally apply this, but maybe I don't know as much as I should, however I think Southgate, Shearer Hansen and lineker do and they all thought he sould have been sent off.

As to we should have beat them 11 v 11. That ain't the rules, you beat whats in front of you and that should have been 11 v 10

As for the offside on 85 minutes, well???????

  7. Top 10 wealthiest managers:

    1 Fabio Capello (England) £30m

    2 Roy Keane (Ipswich) £27m

3 Sir Alex Ferguson (Manchester United) £22m

    4 Carlo Ancelotti (Chelsea) £17m

5 Sven-Goran Eriksson (Notts County director of football) £15m

    5= Arsene Wenger (Arsenal) £15m

    7 Harry Redknapp (Tottenham) £10m

    8 Rafael Benitez (Liverpool) £9m

    8= Martin O'Neill (Aston Villa) £9m

10 Mark Hughes (Manchester City) £8m

Do Capello, Wenger and O'Neill not respect the game either then?

  8. It wouldn't be so sad, except that probably about half the posts are not about football at all, but rather concern various forms of personal abuse, many of them directed against Harry and most of these concerning his post-car accident facial appearance.

    Oh well ....

What is all this shyte I'm reading again?

Phil Thompson has got a big nose. We sung "sit down Big Nose" at him when he was standing in for Gerard Houllier a few years back, as did most opposing team's fans. The only thing Phil Thompson has really done that pisses me off, is the manner in which he conducts himself on Soccer Saturday. If Liverpool Football Club had a collective cock, you wouldn't be able to see it. However, we know where it would be located - banging against Phil Thompson's tonsils.

Harry Redknapp - where to start.

    It's not the tax evasion.

It's not the dodgy dealings, and the suspicions that have followed him throughout his managerial career.

It's not even the fact that his face looks like a melted candle - I worked with a guy for years who looked exactly like Redknapp (in the melted candle face aspect) who was a spot on, top bloke. And a hardened Bluenose. His face was never subjected to banter.

We don't care about the reasons he looks like this, the same way nobody really cares about how Heather McCartney got her peg leg. Or Jeremy Beadle had a small hand. Or the way Jeremy Clarkson calls Richard Hammond a hamster.

It's not EVEN the fact he has only ever won one cup, in what one would see Spurs fans advertise as a glittering career. He is a nobody, who has no proven record.

It's down mainly to three things.

    1. Every club Harry Redknapp has managed, he has pretty much destroyed financially. Every one, up until now. His wheeling and dealing in purchasing Crouch from Portsmouth, a club in deep financial faecal matter, was just testament to what a ruthless cockmaster he is, and how he didn't give a flying **** for the club he was regarded a legend at. Bournemouth, West Ham, Southampton and Portsmouth were all financially fookered after he left. Portsmouth, it seems, are not likely to survive as a result. The bent **** can't even pay his taxes properly...

    2. He is constantly and inexplicably omnipresent in the media, and constantly flaunts the regulations set by FIFA/The FA by talking about players contracted to other clubs than that he is managing - and tapping players up. He should have been disciplined/punished countless times over (as should SAF) but nothing ever happens.

    3. His comments about Aston Villa and the fans over the last three or four seasons. Research it. Any manager for an opposing club is going to get shit for saying what he has said.

So, when a club's fans have a reason to dislike a person for a number of reasons, some of which made personal by that manager, you can't come here as a fan of another team and expect us to stand in an orderly line, waiting to drop to our knees to perform noshy noshy on him. If you want to do just that, please don't expect us not to take the piss as his balls are banging against your chin.

He is not and never going to be a popular person around here - and that is a fact you are going to have to live with.

As for your 'NR' comment, you may get a lot of those against a lot of your posts on here...

    :winkold:

Quoted for sheer magnificence and lucidity of argument :)

    top top post

  9. It really depends on what mentality the manager and players show. I always feel that we tend to show a defeatest mentality before and when playing Man U.

I can remember when 'Deadly' was chairman, there was a rumour that whenever Man U visted Villa Park, the staff at Villa Park asked for autographs from the Man U players. I sincerely hope that those days are long gone?

Yes i know we are playing at Old Trafford, but we must also show the manager and players at Man U that we are not afraid to win. We must show respect, but not too much and not sit in our own half, inviting them on to us. Get at them from the start and make them worry about us, as this, without doubt, will be the best Aston Villa team Man U have come up against in many years.

I hope our MON firstly chooses the right formation. I would play Reo-Coker in a 4-5-1, just to give us that little bit extra defensive security alongside Milner and Petrov, with Downing and Young ripping into United's suspect defence at every opportunity and feeding a hungry Gabby. I would keep both Heskey and Carew on the bench, until such time, as MON would see it fit for a change.

I hope before whatever Villa team walks out to face Man U, that, MON has instilled the right mentality into the side and when the game has ended, it is Fergie and his players who have a newly found respect for the Villa?

cracking post. I still dont know if we should go 4-5-1 to negate their attack or 4-4-2 to attack their weak defence
