For some unexpected political insight, I saw two minutes of Celebrity Big Brother the other night (yeah, yeah I know…I promise it was two minutes).

Fern Britton was talking to Kate Middleton’s uncle (I believe that’s his name) and Fern claimed that she’s put a bet on that the next Prime Minister will be David Cameron.

She didn’t say what odds she managed to get.

Not as good as you'd think. He's 10/1, which seeing as Rishi is 7/1 is pretty poor

So it’s Don the Con. The Maga base will stick with him no matter what. But the independents, will I think, find him even more repellent now than before. He’s simply poison to maintaining a functioning Democracy. It’ll be a rerun with the same result, and the same unhinged claims of a steal.

This is the part I don't get. He'll lose again this year, and then what? Do they continue to stick a 2 time loser. There's no way Trumps ego will allow someone to take over from him, so do they just continue on this merry go round until he's literally too old to continue

So, The Ones Who Live is the first worthwhile viewing in the Walking Dead university for years. Genuinely good TV, although I do wonder if some of the context will be lost on those who haven't watched the post Rick stuff, specifically World Beyond.

Is there a way to watch in the UK, or do you have to hit the high seas like the Daryl show

Yep - it'll be interesting to see what they do in terms of trying to keep it more interesting.

I like the idea of every point earned by a driver coming with a small weight penalty - so that if you were to win a GP you'd get 25 points and 500g which you'd have to carry in your car until the end of the season. The better cars then get heavier as we go along.

Red bull by the end of the season if this happens

Barrows game against Bradford was postponed because the referee was "unimpressed with the state of the pitch" according to the Sky classified scores.

    Is that an official reason?

I assume that just means it's waterlogged

Christ alive. I’m currently rewatching The Inbetweeners. Has anyone tried using Channel 4’s app? 9 minutes of adverts to watch a 25 minute show is the height of inconvenience. I imagine this is what it was like during the war.

The worst part is the ads always work fine, but the second the show actually starts the app crashes, and you have to watch the adverts all over again

Whilst they may not, I imagine they've accounted for council funding, so could leave some big gaps in the finances.

Shit like this makes me angry, Brum is an amazing city and should be treated as such. Who did the accounts for the Local Authority to get into that level of skint?

Grant Thornton are/were the council's auditors. Ironically they are also threatening legal action against them due to council bosses trying to intimidate them during audits

  8. Other end of the spectrum to most of you but I'm due to finish the couch to 5k program this week. Now that it's getting warmer hoping to get out more and maybe do a 10k by the end of sunmer

Ollie on… 13 goals in the league now? On course for 19 and beyond which no one has managed in PL for us since Benteke? Yorke got 17?

Racking up the assists too… such an important player for us…

13 goals and 10 assists. Amazing

Does anyone know when the F-16's go online?? Are they a game changer?

Training usually takes 6 months, and Ukraine were only promised them autumn last year, so I wouldn't expect to see them over Ukraine until the summer.

The training pilots are spread out over Denmark, UK, and USA, although I'd be surprised if over 50 were being trained, and they'll be very careful using them similar to the tanks

I do feel this is a cycle, in 2028 people will be tired of the division, tired of populism. The candidates will have new issues to focus on. You can see the beginnings of the end for the culture wars already. I feel this election in US will focus on actual wars (foreign policy) and immigration. Trump will also win lots of votes from the line the deep state is trying to take him down via the courts, this is 100% a political friend to him outside of courts.

Areas where Trump and Biden are politically close on is Trade (especially with China).

Whilst I hope you are correct, I can only see the inequality that drives these getting worse over the next few years. Bad faith actors like Russia and Fox News aren't going away either

Interesting how subservient Sainz will be this season when he is given orders.

He'll play nice and go join Sauber, before they become Audi and get a nice cash injection
