I will be voting for Gil's, not just because it was pure class, but also in some vague hope it will remind him the fans haven't forgotten about him as I think if he pushed for a move in the summer he would get one. Big big fan.

I think it has worked out yes. He was supposedly a free transfer. He has had some truly awful games and has lost any of the pace he had but think he has some good games to balance it.

He was good at the start of the season and has been decent enough recently, with some poor performances in between.

I wouldn't have him starting every week but as a backup he's adequate.

Can't be arsed to get into a debate because it's clearly just differing opinions but, out of interest, what good performances has he put in? I strongly feel that he has only been given a pass due to us winning some games, with him being the worst player on the pitch.

I realise it's not always a very accurate way of judging but has looked a totally different player to that one who played against Chelsea in the Champions League.

It was his pace and ball playing which stood out then but they seem to be two of his worst attributes now. Not just today, has looked clumsy on the ball for a while.

Are we allowed to say that we wouldn't mind seeing him play a bit now?

He was good at best, he's part of the reason we were so terrible under Lambert. Good at defending when on form but even then he can't attack, pass or cross a ball in the other half of the pitch. Same goes for Cissokho. They are making Richardson look world class.

We have a lot of options for these 2 wide-ish positions behind Benteke - Grealish, Zoggy, Gabby, Gil, Sinclair, Weimann( though he's really a striker ), Cole. Too many players. Unless Sherwood could get rid of at least a couple of them ( Gil, Weimann ), I think it'd be very unlikely that they'd invest wages in bringing Sinclair back.

It's only really N'Zogbia and Sinclair (maybe Gil, however I see him more as playing behind the striker) out of those who naturally play out wide though.
