Stoke, Hull, Newcastle and Everton (more so in the first half) (sorry Donnie) he played centre midfield.

Cleverley and Westwood would be both be poor in CAM and box to box midfield roles (respectively) IMO.

Don't understand why the majority of posters seem to be excited by the possibility of this midfield four, bores me just looking at it.

Why does it bore you? We've not had the chance to try this formation yet (with all players fit) so how can it bore you to look at it? I'm not sure how that works. It might make us more solid and actually give Benteke the ball in/around the box, as well as create runners from midfield (Delph, Cleverley), so we really should give it a try.

Cleverley and Westwood were linking really well yesterday, if we can get Sanchez/Vlaar in to keep us solid behind, they will do this (passing/keep ball/triangles) further up the pitch - where we gave/give the ball away a lot usually - and make us harder to break down.

Because we'll have no midfielders offering any attacking threat, meaning we'll just be relying on one of the two strikers to create and score the chances by themselves.

They've never played there. They'd probably be fairly **** there. They never will play there (at least under PL).

Just read he was six foot and was v surprised. Even more excited now though to be honest. 

We wouldn't have scored the goal yesterday if any other player would have been in his position when he recieved it IMO.

One of the very few players in the squad capable of running forward with the ball.

I don't think the miss was that bad, the defender was right at his feet blocking the line to goal. Yes, he should have got it on target, even though it would have been blocked, and a true quality player might have controlled it, let the defender sell himself then tap it in. But remember some of Benteke's misses last season, it's easy to say someone else would have scored it but that ain't always the case.

You would have bagged that chance mate.

I thought senderos played well yesterday both alongside baker (who barring one hideous tackle also played well) and vlaar.

There's a little bit of hope he'll turn out to be a good player for us.

Little OT, but when I saw that tackle from Baker I wanted to perform a citizen's arrest and charge him with assault.
