I see the scaremongering over us getting into a fully fledge war v Russia has ramped up in the media the last few days.

Talk today of conscript if needed.

They need a means to justify the next £xBillion pounds they will be sending to Ukraine. Generally speaking, it's my feeling many people are becoming apathetic to this "never ending" war.

Trump may win the USA election and will pull funding, therefore it will be us, Germany, France etc who will foot the ongoing bill. It's all preparation. Send all your money to Ukraine, or go to war. It's your choice boys.

I think Bruno is the one they will try sell for big money but problem is that he isnt as good as they think he is and not sure a club that could drop that money on him

    Maybe United

Why do that when you can sell the likes of Almiron and Dan Burn for 50 million each?

Convenient. Although he’s one of their better players. Be interesting to see the amount he goes for.

Explains why they are happy to keep Tripper / Wilson even though it would make sense to sell them.

As he's a decent player, they will get a ridiculous amount for him paying for next summers transfers.

Feels like a bit of a fire sale is brewing now they realise they're probably going to miss out on CL.

We will face the same sooner of later due to FFP.

We must have 8/9 players now on north of 100k. Next round of contract renewals including Bailey and Martinez will probably want >130k+

Man City, Arsenal can happily bid 100m for Douglas Luiz, pay him 200k a week to sit on the bench. We're selling youth players to fund a £10million young right back.

  5. It's quite obvious he will be an Arsenal player within the next 6/7 months, hence suddenly he's now being given the "Darwin Nunez" Sky Sports treatment. It's all a ruse to raise his profile for his "Big money move to a top club".

Same happened with Grealish, with us he was genuinely top 3/4 players on earth for 6 months, yet completely ignored. As soon as City were interested in him he was touted as the next Gazza.

just keeps mixing up people time after time the more speeches he does.  People talk about Biden having dementia but watching Trump’s speeches this year especially, the conclusion must be the same.

Can't believe how, what should be the most important popularity contest on earth, is decided between 2 people I wouldn't leave alone in a house with a working cooker.

After Trump has spent months humiliating and abusing him. what a **** coward. One eye on 2028?

It's highly likely by 2027/8 neither Trump or Biden will be able to manage office. Hence the reason Ron Desantis / Vivek "gracefully" pulled out of the race and nominated Trump - they are queuing up for the VP position, which will effectively be the presidential nomination for the second term.

  7. As a similar sized club, we should be concerned about the likes of Everton, not laughing at them.

FFP is nothing more than a tool to restrict the likes of us, Newcastle, West Ham, Everton etc from stealing the 500m+ yearly revenue the "big 6" enjoy. Its a closed shop, nothing to do with sustainability. Remove FFP then Tottenham, Liverpool, Man U are replaced by clubs with owners willing to spend (Newcastle).

Unless we manage to keep Emery for 5-10 years, it will be impossible for us to long term compete even with Spurs. They can comfortably spend 150 million every season, offer higher wages. We will spend 40-50million during the summer and eventually sell a Luiz, Martinez, Bailey, Torres, Kamara or Watkins to be "sustainable".

Man City can buy our captain/best player for 100m, Leeds captain/best player for 50m, Wolves best player 50m, Bournemouths best player 40m etc as bench warmers! Despite WE/NS being extraordinarily wealthy, we are recalling and selling £2million youth player to fund 9million pound purchase from Belgrade. Without FFP, we'd go and get a 40-50million ready-made fullback.

This summer without FFP - we could go and spend £200m+ on 4 high quality players to really solidify ourselves as a top 6 team. The reality of what we do, will be a rude awakening for some.

That’s perfectly put and in one simple sentence completely sums up why what Israel is doing is so outrageous.

I'm genuinely not being a *** here, i'm calling it how I see it by the way. Happy to be educated on this.

Ask yourself. If Hamas had Israel's miliary strength, would there be an Israel? What would happen to the people there? Genuine question

But he was a subhuman Palestinian so why not shoot him in the neck. Should be happy they spent the bullet on him.

"Sub-human Palestinian" - or a potential threat from a country, whom you are at war, with a government who's manifesto is to destroy you entire country and religion?

Did Hamas conduct mental health evaluations on the people they killed? Or does that whole rules of war / engagement only apply to Israel because they have a superior miliary?

It seems yesterday was rather successful for Ukraine in a number of operations.

Reports of a hit on multiple high ranking officers located in some office block (missile strike)

And another report claiming that multiple small Russian landing craft were destroyed in a port in Crimea but this wasn’t a long range precision strike, this was a Special Ops raid. The claim is that the landing craft were also loaded with vehicles at the time

    Keep reading Ukraine destroyed X.

I wonder when / if these logistical / military hits will start to have an effect / end this stalemate? Russia don't have unlimited supplies, nor the supply chain to keep re-arming. Eventually something has to give.

What did Hamas think would happen after they attacked Israeli civilians on such as scale?

As Israel has a superior military, defence and finances not destroyed by corruption, clearly Israel are not allowed to respond. They must ceasefire immediately and wait for the next Hamas attack.

We hired a guy from Russia who was fleeing the country. He recently received a letter from the minstery of defence saying he was no longer eligible to be drafted. If I was him I wouldn't trust anything that comes from the russian government.

My father in law was sent a letter requesting he joins the miliary, (He's former Russian Miliary but Lithuanian as the soviet union broke up). He, lives in the UK now.

His friend, who is a similar age (late 50's) with military experience who resides in France, was picked up 24 hours into a drip to Volgrorad visting family and forced to join the military.

They do sign shite, which all other clubs do too. The problem is the ratio of misses to hits has gotten so large.

They are the most extreme example - Spurs suffered with it for a bit - and as we grow I hope we don't fall into the trap.

Basically, the "elite of the elite", plug and play A+ players go to Man City, Bayern, Madrid, Liverpool etc. Then Man U, Spurs etc are fighting for the B+ players. Clearly are good, but there's reasons why the elite clubs don't want them (attitude, injuries, age etc).

To compound it, neither club are a huge draw anymore so they end up overpaying massively as it's not a "no brainer" for the club to see him to them.

For example - If Man U wanted Matty Cash we'd absolutely rinse them for every single penny, and put up quite a fight to sell him. The fee would have to be massive to "sell it" to the fans. If Real Madrid wanted him, we'd kind of understand, the fee would be lower and he'd go with the blessing of the club and fans.

  14. Whilst is awesome to laugh at Man United, they will always be near the top 5 come the end of the season. We really need this disastrous run to go on as long as possible.

IMO Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal will be top 3.,

Spurs looks decent for 4th or above.

Then its between us, Man U, Chelsea (if they pick up) and Newcastle for fifth and maybe the Champions League

I guess the difference is one side has the means to do it and the other side just has the will.

If Hamas had the firepower Israel has, there wouldn't have been an Israel many years ago. It's literally in their manifesto to destroy the Jews.

18% percent of those living in Israel are Palestinians / Muslim. Obviously it's not blissful tranquillity, but it's a lot better than any Jew walking through any predominantly Muslim country on earth.

<1% in Gaza are Christians / Jews. Algeria, Egypt, Syria, Iraq all had Jewish settlements effectively removed, as let's be honest you just cannot be Jewish in many predominantly Muslim countries. There is a deep almost DNA level hatred.

If the shoe was on the other foot, Israel itself would have failed to exist a long time ago.

    Actually don't mind Spurs.

Their fanbase has always seemed a decent bunch to me.

Always been decent. I remember being about 17/18 going Spurs away. Got chatting on the tube to some Spurs fans who recognised our accent as Villa fans.

They were very insistent we went to their local - tentatively we went thinking we was going to get beaten up / robbed. We ended up in one of their hardcore pubs just outside the ground. Had an amazing time, such great hospitality and banter which never crossed the mark.

But what's the relevancy at all?

It's like saying 'if ISIS and the US swapped military capabilities, the US would have ceased to exist a long time ago'

Hamas are utterly determined to completely eradicate Israel, and if they had to means to do so they would. It's literally in their manifesto!

    Fortunately they don't.

There will never be a peace deal until Hamas are completely destroyed or they change their ideology.

Whilst the risk of Russia going to war with Europe has reduced significantly the US won’t keep throwing billions at it.

They can always reverse that decision if/when the risk increases.

America has a new way to feed their money machine (middle east security).

Ukraine will quickly go onto the backburner - watch the rhetoric change in the coming months.

Egypt are still refusing to open their border to Gaza to let civilians out.

If you thought Israel is the only country to mistreat Palestinians, you're wrong. Palestine is used by all its Arab neighbours as a permanent thorn in their enemy's side, but when Palestine needs help these same actors often go eerily silent.

Egypt has enough problems with terrorists / terrorism. It's already half destroyed their tourism industry. Last thing they want is to import a few million people who were daft enough to vote for Hamas + however many Hamas insurgents are left.
