  1. Love, love, love Villa Park!❤️

It is Aston Villa as we all know it, loved by Villa fans and fans from other clubs…but….commercially it doesn’t fit into the equation, unfortunately

Brutal, but football is all about money now

  2. Happy with a draw tbh

Would have taken it before the game

Switched off the commentary because they were doing my head in (optus)

Focused on our play today in possession and we are very classy

I know we give away stupid goals which is frustrating but understandable as well considering our various injuries at the back

We deserved something from the game and VAR helped us for a change

Rogers is looking a good acquisition and Diaby looks like he’s got his mojo back

  3. I enjoy watching him play…he is direct, full of energy and not short of ability

Yes, a rough diamond but we’ve got the best manager and coaching staff to shape him into a gem…if he lets them

  4. Still a work in progress…

Not many teams will go toe to toe with us and will adopt the low press

We are having to learn how to play against this and as Emery said only games will give you that experience

It will come and when we learn how to play against this tactic we’ll go to another level

    Onwards and Upwards

  5. The new stadium option doesn’t go away for me although the club have denied any truth in this rumour

Just seems that looking forward from a commercial viewpoint it makes good business sense

I love Villa Park and don’t want us to move but these are savvy money people and I’m guessing you’d get your ROI sooner especially with a Wembley style corporate setup

Another great one was being  five nil down at Leicester on an early Saturday morning game mid 80’s (the year we went down) always look on the Bright side of life was consistently sang from start to finish by every villa fan in the ground

I was at both those games too…gallows humour at its best..😂

  7. Ehhhh!!! Calm down

    This isn’t SG

Does anyone really think Unai Emery would let an emerging highly regarded talent go…and for a pitence?

Oh Ok, I only compared goal scoring....but Cam had quite a few assists too, in his 40 games in the Championship

Its not my money, either, but its not a bottomless pit, and FFP looms like a stalker.....and its crucial we use the money to the best effect.

I am not pandering to Ollie, but I think he is comfortable being the main striker, and anyone else, ( big name) could get in his way, and crowd his ego.

I think Ollie will be comfortable with Archer and Duran, and Diaby at times, as they won't steal his crown( so to speak) They will just progess, gradually.

My understanding anyway is....UE is going with the 2 young boys to support Ollie.

That’s very brave from Unai Emery (if that’s what he is going to do)

I admire his conviction and if he believes they are up to the task so do I

That must give those players a massive boost in confidence

The guy is a genius and we’re so lucky to have him

  9. ….this is taking the piss imo

Season ticket price massive increase (North Stand), rip off drinks and food prices

Now charging £5 each way on a shuttle bus…

Purslow, remember about being onside with the fans…

I know it’s a business but come on!

I agree and I think today showed we need a massive upgrade on the likes of Bailey, Bert and buendia. The football was relatively controlled although some of the passing in midfield was a bit sloppier than normal  but in the final third I thought we lacked cutting edge to break down a really poor team who we have gifted a goal to and then defended (well) for their lives. Also I feel they treated it far more like a derby than we did I thought they seemed more up for it than we did

Agree…we have a good squad but it is all about consistency, no lack of effort tbf
