Don't forget Simon Stainrod....on second thoughts let's not taint the thread.

Don't know if its a well known story down there but up here there's an infamous story of Ian mcall taking a dump in Stainrod's shoe. ...

  2. Good to see a Scottish player getting support before he starts rather than the usual pub league stuff we have to put up with. Very talented player with a great attitude

    Thanks! ?

How many clubs have you sold players to and then taken a positive active interest in that club's progress? rarely? Never?  I was already biased towards Villa but you'll gain quite a few more fans in Edinburgh if it goes through. That's how much we love the guy and think that a move to Villa is right for him. He was instrumental in getting us back to the top end of the top division after a really bad period. He can do that for you too. The energy and drive he has are amazing

Worth reading that Hibs Forum post about him if you have time as it shows not only that he's a great player but one of the good guys.

Now please let us start our grieving process and sign him!!

Dundee Utd slash Aston Villa fan here. Been telling my villa supporting mates what a good player we're getting. I've always had a soft spot for Hibs too as I was scouted for them when I was young. Jim Duffy was very fond of me as a player and was very kind to me hooking me up with Dundee too before my knee pretty much exploded and I quit football. Sorry it looks like you're losing McGinn but I'm glad he's coming to us. It'll be good for our national team too if he gets off to a great start!.

First player im genuinely really excited about coming to Villa in a long time.  He would have cost allot more if he wasn't in the last year of his contract.

And if he wasn't coming from Scotland

Hutton always had a bang on attitude 100% professional, hard work ethic.

It's not possible to draw comparisons between those 2 players situations.

We also weren't in such a desperate situation during the Hutton debacle. I'm hopeful but not overly confident that becomes back and brings his A game which is excellent. He was close to international call ups again not long before his exile so if he has any aspirations of that he needs to get back playing

They are not “we’ve lost” posts. They are posts discussing the utter shit we are watching. If you don’t want to discuss the match, it might be a good idea to stay out of the match thread.

Apart from the ones saying "we've lost"

  7. Love Hutton...for villa and Scotland. He's excellent going forward, perhaps even more so than Bacuna. Difference is Bacuna has a much better final ball. I'd like Bacuna further forwar but I like both of them in the team

Aston Villa join transfer chase for highly-rated Hull full-back Andrew Robertson

The 22-year-old Scotland international only joined from Dundee last summer but is attracting the attention of a number of top clubs

He's grrrreat! Robertson is set to leave the Tigers after an impressive debut season

Tim Sherwood is eyeing a summer move for Hull’s highly-rated full-back Andrew Robertson.

Aston Villa boss Sherwood will be given cash to spend if they go on to clinch survival, and is keen to strengthen in several areas.

Scottish international Robertson, 21, has made a huge impression in his first season in the Premier League after joining from Dundee United for £2.85m.

Hull boss Steve Bruce has already admitted they face a struggle to keep Robertson this summer amid interest from the Premier League’s big guns.

The Villans have been watching with interest and are likely to test Hull’s resolve to keep hold of one of their prized assets. But other big clubs are also likely to consider moves for hot property Robertson this summer.

New LB on the cards perhaps??

From what I've seen, Robertson has been pretty decent this season.

For the love of god it was Dundee UNITED!! I have a season ticket for utd and if we get him I will be dancing. Don't think I've been as sad to see someone leave since Duncan Ferguson. He's incredible, yes I know weaker league yaddy ya. He's doing it for Scotland and hull now too. Endless stamina, speed and drive to get forward.
