I think they are about to seriously bring you back down to earth with a very hard bump. I bet you were saying this before the man u game as well. There's no reason why we won't be fired up for this, we're playing on a ground we're unbeaten on, we have nothing to fear about the emirates, we've never lost there so it's not like the ground will intimidate us. We have been built up again by the bloody media, ready to be knocked down and slated again. I think Arsenal will come out very fired up an we will look a little half arsed and over confident because we are happy with our position in the table and Arsenal are fuming. They will come at us like a tsunami and we sill buckle under all the pressure and beautiful play by them. Villatalk will slowly go into meltdown when they score, and we will start saying whats happened to our defence, nobody is dominating in midfield and we haven't even had one shot on goal. They will score a second, it probably won't be a classic goal but that will knock the stuffing out of us and we will lose the game. We will come out of it and slate our players and say they are simply not good enough, and then Liverpool will get a successive second win, beating us 1 - 0 and this is where we will start to lose ground again. This whole thing will bottle down to how tired our players are and how fired up they are before the game and how solid the defence can remain.

Yeah the Arsenal mania lot, are calling us over confident now. I don't see how though...we know that they are the better team on the whole, because they have always been in the top 4 but we are on some good form at the moment. What they forget is that we are not the same outfit as last season. They think we are still one dimensional like last year. They obviously have not seen that Milner is now in the middle and playing fantastic (see his 30 yard cracker the other week), they obviously forgot that we now have Downing on one wing with Young still on the other, they have forgot how strong our defense is looking at the moment.....Let them think we are one dimensional and over-confident. The onus is on them..they want the title, they are the "top 4 team" so they should be beating us at the Emirates!! I think after all of this commotion it will finish 1 - 1 and at the end of the season they will finish 3rd with us in 4th and they still won't show us the respect i think we deserve. If we lose and Spurs also win, it wouldnt be looking good and if confidence dropped a little and pool beat us, things would suddenly be looking pretty shit and we wouldnt be the media darlings anymore..it would be passed over to spuds. Arsenal fan: That's where you are wrong, individually our individuals may be more talented but in terms of team strength I do think they are slightly stronger, they have the ability if needed to go toe to toe with big physical teams like Stoke and Chelsea or straight up play football with the likes of us. Their defence is arguably stronger, their set pieces are stronger and they now have the capability to seriously f**k us up on the counter..and they're better than last year when they ripped us to shreds.

ARSENAL FAN Though everybody's aware of the new strange, open title race this year, and much emphasis on consistency as central, no one dared yet to speak of villa as contenders. And though pool (surely!) are out of the top 4, villa were not even recognized as the official new big 4 member. With wins at old T and pool, and consistency (they were big winners of "Miracle weekend" results just like us - maybe more, considering they won at old T - and their current results are ominous) they surely merit the latter at least. If they (god forbid) win here, it would be hard to deny they are serious contenders.

Arsenal opinion: Hard to see us winning this one with the injuries we have. Villa have an excellent goalkeeper, very strong defence, decent midfield and a penetrative attack. They love to run men out wide and get crosses in the box, precisely the kind of thing we are not very good at dealing with. Aerially they will slaughter us, defensively they are superior and their goalkeeper is a monster compared to what we have. Their team is stronger than ours, likely to work harder than ours and their tactics are very well suited towards nullifying our own. I want a win of course, but I think we might have to settle for a draw and be grateful.

Arsenal fans opinions: Have a really bad feeling about this one. Exactly the kind of team and style of football we will struggle against. We will really need to be on top of our game to get anything against them. They will come here and attack and i can see us struggling. I hope we are well organized and compact. This is THE team at the moment. They are high on confidence against the so called big 4 and will come to the Emirates convinced that they can take all three points. Their defence is currently the best in the league so they will definitely be able to break our game down in preventing us from penetrating with our passing. Also if they go down I dont see them changing their tactics and opening the game up. Looking at the Hull game this bodes badly for us because once we are closed down we are useless. Shava, Cesc, Edu and Diaby in a forward role is key to this game to get the three points. A positive for us is that we go into the game with confidence off the Hull and Pool games and have the likes of Cesc coming back. We need two clear goals to win this one. Although Im not expecting a win here looking at the Hull game. Aston Villa ain't Hull City... I'm not too confident without Cesc. Villa are the stuff nightmares are made of for us and we could be in for a horror show if we aren't up for it physically and mentally. Definitely need Fabregas back for this one.

I think its funny that not long ago, loads of you wanted him out!! You were slating him, a couple of slip ups and it was MON OUT. I hope he stays but it depends on how fickle we decide to be on the next slip up. I couldn't imagine anyone else building this team now...it would feel....wrong.

BUT you have to wonder sometimes if this is the kind of opportunity he would be looking for: MON randomly throws him in, Delph unleashes a fierce shot and scores in a huge game which gives him that boost of confidence allowing him to be used effectively from then on....It happens..see Wayne Rooney.
