im fuming why take n zogbia one of the worst subs ive ever saw in my life down the villa
Think about it. Maybe he had to make that sub.
How can you fume about it? You're making up why he was taken off. There isn't a single person on the planet watching that game who would have taken off N'Zogbia, so maybe there was a reason for it.

Good game, **** it. There is quality in the side but not in the squad. Benteke's passing/general play was impressive. Good games by Westwood and Vlaar.
Shame about not having any decent subs to put on. Holman looked like he was jogging everywhere?

Bet N'Zogbia had a nock
-
We're going to win
-
Westwood always looks forward with an outlet pass. Love him.
He's quality.
-
I don't want Holman to come on quite a lot
-
Gabby looks good.
-
fukkkkkkkk so close that Agbonlahor break
-
Got to be fair - I think Delph's been good today too.
-
N'Zogbia is hilarious. How can he have been so shit for so long and then start playing like this today?
I have never seen even a glimmer that he can be so dangerous.
Guzan looks so solid.
-
Bennett getting very exposed already
And there's me thinking he started well. Scapegoat of 2013 - Joe Bennett.

Ahhhh! We're ****. At least we c-o-u-l-d go above Newcastle. UTV
-
ffs that's 2-4-3-1 formation with Guzan upfront. It has NEVER worked. Lambert is a gay. LAMBERT OUT
Bennet was really shit in that one game he played after his man of the match performance too. **** HE IS ALWAYS USELESS.

It certainly doesn't look too good right now.

I find the lack of communication the most upsetting
Lerner has treated the supporters with utter contempt and a lack of respect
I don't care how many billions he has you treat people as you expect to be treated yourself
I have never got this attitude, to be honest. I don't see it as a given that the owners talk to the fans. Some obviously do, like Whelan, Doug (but he bullshitted). I've heard the same line since MON left and I find I don't easily agree.

My thinking was if the worst happens ie lose to WBA and don't get past Bradford, Lerner pulls trigger new man in and a week of window left to get through £20 to £30m

I'm not looking to cause an argument but would a CB equivalent of Lowton see any game time? i.e. would he get in ahead of Baker and Clark? and that's assuming Vlaar and Dunne are not available. I can't see us being able to spend sufficient to buy the equivalent of Baker or Clark from another club - not as I think they are great!
Same with a Trotter or Stephens - I don't know them but are they good enough to command a first team place?
I really hope that we strengthen midfield but it is not looking good
As for Stephens getting in the team - HAVE YOU SEEN OUR MIDFIELD!!!??
-
AVFC still two and a half years have still not replaced milner..the day we beat west ham at home was milners last game, since that day i challenge any one to convince me we have signed a player who has done more than milner for avfc since that day. MIDFIELD IS THE PROBLEM
I agree 100,000,000,000% and I have been saying this since Houllier. The rot began when Reo Coker was Milner's replacement in the team.

You make it sound like Randy woke up one day and decided to spend 20 million, Don't forget we'd just sold Milner for 19 million.
That same Milner he paid 12million for in the first place, who then went on to earn something like a million a year?
You don't see the whole picture there, I'm afraid.

Don't you understand the situation we are in.
Untried, unproven, raw, promising youngsters are why we are the position we are in.
We need nous, experience, knowledge.
Two or three youngsters in a team of experienced players is fine. The other way round is a recipe for disaster.
I'd say its more because the players we do have aren't good enough. Regardless of their experience. Even our EXPERIENCED players are shit. Can you not see that?
-
James Chester can't be that bad, his club are top of their league (Hull)
as for Dale Stephens i can remember someone saying his the best passer of the ball in the Championship
Over and over it has been established there are good players in the Championship who can make a difference. Lambert signed Johnny Howson from Leeds last January for 2 million and he'd be ideal for us. What we need are more Lambert signings and less academy players/MON or Mcleish crazy signings.
Then we might start forming a solid team from which to build on.
-
That said if you don't buy a ticket you don't win the raffle, so it could hardly hurt to make an approach. If we really are spending this window courting a championship player (Dale Stephens) then it really doesn't bode well for our future in this league.
There are a few teams looking quite good in the premiership with players signed similar to Dale Stephens. Norwich are one of them, and obviously thanks to Lambert. We have rebuilding to do and a squad to fill. Mcleish blew his load on a three overpriced high wage players who are adding nothing to the team a year later. It's right to try a different approach.
-
By the way who were those midfielders giving the ball away all the time and providing no challenge against Bradford?
They were so invisible it was hard to notice them? Fair play. Bannan from the youth team and Delph who MON spanked 8million on. Neither are players Lambert brought in

He's not really persisting with him is he though? He hasn't had a start for ages.
Sorry but people moaning about the subs need to think about injuries and the fact that the players on the bench are all dodgy options.
