  1. There's nothing wrong with organising something like that - to not do so would be stupid. Releasing it however is arrogant and rude. Do they actually have to release it?

The club don't appear to have released it as such - the article just shows a picture of a parking suspension sign which will have been put up by the council.

I imagine IF we were to win and there be a parade in Brum, it would be the following day?  That would be perfect as it happens to be my birthday.  I've instructed the girlfriend not to make any plans for my birthday, just in case  :)

  2. I think the £70 tickets in the lower tier behind the goal will be right down at the front in the first few rows which is why they are cheaper than the rest of the lower tier.

I booked ours in the upper 543 for £70 - no idea how far forward or back that will be though, or whether the whole block is £70 as that was the only choice I had.   I would have thought seats towards the back will be £50.

They are now selling £50 tickets in 543 so that must mean the £70 ones are in the front half as it shows on that stadium plan.

  3. I think most tickets are Category 2 (£90), a few up in the gods behind the goal are Category 4 (£50) and then there's a weird subsection of Category 3 (£70) in some areas like the block I chose - 132; you could select £90 seats or £70 seats and for the sake of what, in a worse case scenario, could be one row difference I just went for £70 ones. I think I'd be a bit peed off if I found out the guy sitting one seat beside/below me had spent £20 less per ticket.

  4. 500 left...

We now have 500 tickets remaining for the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on Sunday.

We face Liverpool in the showpiece last four encounter in the capital.

Tickets are available to supporters with a varied booking history of two or more games.

Please be aware that they are only available to purchase in person at Villa Park's ticket office.

Move quickly to snap up the final few tickets for the game.  Supporters are able to purchase up to six tickets for the Wembley match but must have a qualifiying client reference number for each one.  No ticket sales will be processed over the telephone as tickets are no longer being posted out.

Tickets will be handed over at point of purchase.

Tickets are sold on a first come first served basis.

Please be aware that by turning up you are not guaranteed the chance to snap up a seat for the showpiece semi-final.

We would like to thank supporters for not phoning the box office hotline for tickets since the start of the week.  This has enabled us to process tickets from the Villa Park ticket office efficiently during a hectic period.

I think it's absolute rubbish that someone who has 4+ booking history for the FA cup has more priority over someone who has been to 12 Premier League games.

Loads of people go to the FA cup game because the club make them really cheap.

If we had away FA cup games then my opinion would be different.

Disagree. Showing commitment to the campaign takes priority over those who haven't been arsed with the FA cup up until now, IMO.

It's going to be a looooong wait until Tuesday 9am for me.

That's not the reason most go, it's because they are about £10-15 a ticket not because they are committed to the FA Cup.

I hadn't missed a home game in 10 years until this season, got rid of my ST because of Lambert but couldn't tear myself away from going to games still until about 5 matches in that I had completely had enough. Since Sherwood has come in I have been back at every game. I think I missed a total of 7 home games. So Iv had a ST for 10 years, missed 7 games, spent endless amounts of ££s but someone who went to a few of the FA Cup games this season gets priority over me. Why have the 8/9 premier league that I have been to at £40 a ticket not count? What happened to the loyalty system they were suppose to bring out? Seems much more fair to me.

Will come across as slightly bitter no doubt, but I still think it's a stupid system that they use to decide who gets tickets.

I'm afraid it doesn't add much to the thread but this just reminded me of our 2000 FA Cup Wembley appearances.

For 21 of the last 23 seasons me and my Dad have been season ticket holders.  The 2 seasons we didn't have them (couldn't afford due to Dad's work situation) were 1999-2000 and 2000-2001.  We couldn't get tickets for the 2000 FA Cup Final!

We did go to the SF v Bolton though and in hindsight we got the better deal...

  6. If the block availability on the online ticket office site is anything to go by then only 200-300 so far. Only 1 block of the 6 is sold out, 1 has limited availability but the other 4 are all available.

  7. Whenever we take more than 3k anywhere, inevitably the dickheads turn up. That said I think we must be pushing 3,000 for this now. The online ticket site says 5 of the 6 blocks are sold out.

  8. The ground only holds 20k so the max we can have is 2,000.

I think it's an understandable decision to see how they sell first given that this game is on new years day!!

It sold out in no time last season because it was a new ground for pretty much everyone.

  9. I've got a feeling the allocation says 1700 because they've copied and pasted, and then edited the Man City details but not changed the allocation as that game also has a 1700 allocation.

I might be wrong but wouldn't be surprised as they often make errors.

  10. On the point of season ticket holders having priority on away tickets it always has been and always will be the case. It's one of the advertised perks of buying a season ticket. The season ticket holders who have been to the cup games get higher priority than those season ticket holders who haven't. But those who haven't will always get priority over non season ticket holders regardless.

On the point about the coach ticket being sent separate from the match ticket, there's nothing 'numpty' about it at all - they are often posted out separately even when bought at the same time.
