Ashley Young has been on fire recently!
-
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CAREW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Brilliant play by Delfouneso.
-
-
I think people are maybe expecting a bit too much from young Delfouneso,
-
Heskey's been lively.
-
Don't think he was offside there.
-
Really disappointed with the performance today, if we want that 4th place this is the sort of game we should win. But it's not over yet because the others will drop points, hopefully this weekend.
Friedel - 6 - Not much for him to do.
Cuellar - 4 - Awful, both in defence and attack. He's not a right back, everyone knows that except for one man.
Dunne - 7 - Best defender today.
Collins - 6 - Was OK, but his performances have dropped lately. I think Cuellar should get a chance here.
Warnock - 5 - Poor display from him today. Made a few mistakes which could have cost us.
Downing - 5 - Once again anonymous. I think we'll see the best of him next season when he gets a proper pre season and has settled in.
Young - 7 - MOM for me. Our only real attacking threat today along with Carew. Top, top player.
Petrov - 6 - Not the best game from Stan. Clumsy tackles and he looked tired.
Milner - 6 - Average display from Milner. Just not his day.
Heskey - 5 - Started well but faded. No threat at all and his hold up play wasn't the best. Why the **** didn't Delfouneso get at least 10 mins?!
Carew - 7 - Does what you want from a striker - scores goals! Played well today.
Albrighton - 5 - When he finallly gets a chance, he's put at right back! He's not a right back and so I dont blame him for looking nervous.
Sidwell - 6 - Finally did something useful.
I hope Gabby is fit for Wednesday and Cuellar isn't playing RB.
-
Ironic cheers for the subs finally warming up.
-
A very potent front line
This should have been Delfouneso's chance. Very pleased to see Albrighton on the bench though.
-
I'm absolutely devasted but you can't fault the lads, they did us proud.
How that was not a red card for Vidic I'll never know. Gabby was clean through and so it should be a straight sending off. But not even a yellow!? **** abysmal!
But as I said the lads did good, the first final for many of them and hopefully one of many.
Lets just win the **** FA Cup instead!
And of course the Villa fans were fantastic as you would expect.

-
now for the over reaction
Yeah sure the "doom merchants" will probably be out but we can't just overlook the problem.
I love MON as much as next man but today he did probably lose us the game.
5-4-1 always seems to work better for us, why not just stick to that?
Heskey on for Delph?! Just utterly stupid.
Then he says the rift between him and NRC is over, yet he refuses to play him!
I definitely don't want MON out and he has got many great qualities as a manager but the game today brought up a lot of questions on his ability.

1-0 GABBY!!!!

And Tuborg gold.
