  1. Can see frictionless kiosks being installed all around the ground over the summer to aid efficiency and increase revenues. After the initial infrastructure investment you can then reduce staff costs. Over in Seattle at Lumen Field they have Amazon’s Just Walk Out retail merchandise stores…

Bayern, Arsenal, Madrid, Juve and United are the only ones getting the old skool logo on their 3rd kits. Elite teams to adidas are long term partners and kit sale sellers. Nothing to do with CL. I’m more surprised to not see Ajax on the list as they sell bucket loads of shirts.

It’s widely reported that Newcastle have been given elite tier status at the expense of Roma for next season … if you are in this tier you seem to get the following.

    • Preferential treatment.

    • A closer working relationship with Adidas.

    • More custom products as well as more products in general.

    • Advertised globally instead of certain regions .

    • More products available on official Adidas websites in more nations, for example only "Elite Teams" are sold on Adidas' Chinese website.

Heck has stated that our global reach and amount of products will grow through this so maybe we will gatecrash the top table and get the same status. Newcastle do have prior History with Adidas and the Saudis behind them. We have the current largest shareholder so who knows where we will sit until further details are released.

Who are we looking at? 👀

He name checks a couple of players in the article but doesn’t link any of them to us by name.  Kévin Denkey - 23 YO Togolese striker with 23 goals in 28 league games this season, along with Alan Minda a 20 Ecuadorean RWF/LWF/SS and Felipe Augusto whose a 20 YO Brazilian Striker they’ve just purchased from Corinthians…

  5. Sparks agency referenced in this article and can see why a certain poster has excused himself from the conversations …

Imagine being one of the few people on the planet to have seen the plans for Newcastle United's new kits with Adidas - but you can't tell a soul about what's to come because of non-disclosure agreements. Torture, right? Well, it must be a particularly crippling secret to keep if you're a lifelong supporter like Craig Buglass.

The former Nike and Puma designer never got to put together a shirt for Newcastle, but the Geordie's Spark agency are 'friends of the Adidas family' and have been 'working with them, consulting on the kits'. It may well be the next best thing.

Newcastles kits leaked, it’s not on their third. Don’t expect us to either

I just assumed given they are an elite team for adidas they would get a trefoil like others do … Being in the elite tier means they'll get bespoke designs each season and not just regurgitation of the current seasons template. Be interesting where we are in terms of tier level for adidas.

Monchi was at the Barcelona Valencia game last night.

Translation below. No idea how credible this bloke is but I doubt we'd be after Raphina though

    ⚠️ ATTENTION #EXCLUSIVA #LCDC⚠️
    @javitarre#Monchi , DT of #AstonVilla was yesterday in #Montjuic appreciating #BarçaValencia .

Also not only that. The English club would be willing to offer 55M € + 10M variables for #RAPHINHA

Think it’s just a case of *insert random players name here… could’ve been watching Valencia’s Yarek Gasiorowski who plays LCB as well as LB https://breakingthelines.com/player-analysis/yarek-gasiorowski-valencias-teenage-gem-in-defense/  or

    Javi Guerra https://breakingthelines.com/player-analysis/javi-guerra-valencias-teenage-gem-in-midfield/

Or Fermin Lopez for Barca … who knows and doubt it would be Raphina

So does our little Emi, can’t wait to have him back for those

I’d happily sell Buendia when fit, don’t think he’s been very good whatsoever given the outlay …

Baena was the one I wanted over Pino & Chuckwueze when we were being linked to every Villarreal player.

  9. We need to get better in every aspect of the match day experience by upgrading the concourses, transportation as well raising the spend per seat and lengthen the time fans are in and around the ground. They can then justify charging more once the standard of the experience be it GA or GA+ has improved. Again will point to the fact that Heck said it’s about all fans and not one stand and once they’ve upgraded the facilities in place right now across the board, then you look again at a new North Stand.

I think it'll be very difficult to carry out any major extension to Villa Park this side of the Euros in 2028.

Then ditch the Euros if needs be … what do we gain from it ? The council who’ve not always been supportive have a vested interest for sure yet all they can do is muster a task force and look into upgrading the stations rather than commit out right and get on with it. I guess it will help our brand somewhat

  11. Just read Newcastle will be one of adidas’ elite teams so will get bespoke kits and the trefoil. Surely if they are then we will given Sawiris’ involvement as investor… we’re gunna smash all records I feel in terms of shirt sales next season despite what some think of the badge & betting sponsor.

I agree with what your saying but what Spurs have done and is planning to do isn't the book stop for sports stadium developments, there's more that can be done given the space.

We need to turn the space we have into a place non Villa fans want to visit. Spurs are building an extreme sports centre with deep dive pool and massive indoor climbing wall. In Folkestone they’ve built a multi story indoor skate park and climbing centre. These are the sorts of developments that will attract people to the ground daily all year round and I’ve just used them as an example of what we could look to build. The increased footfall will make the Holte hotel / warehouse more financially viable.

  13. The area behind the North Stand is ripe for development.  Just take a look at what Spurs are planning in a predominantly suburban area.

I’ve been in the relocation is necessary  camp previously but Spurs have proven with their stadium which is in a deprived area location doesn’t matter with foresight.

Hypothetically speaking would you be happy selling Cash for say £20M and Dougie for £75M to add the above talent?

No id expect over £25mill for Matty Cash and closer to £90mill for Luiz… Bear in mind also that any fee for Luiz is now all pure profit as would be basically all of the fee for Matty Cash. So yeah I’m happy for the club to sell pretty much anyone they see fit in order to strengthen us. The squad must continually evolve and sacrificing players on occasion will be necessary.

  15. Newcastles stadium location means they don't have the same transport issues we currently face being so central. Toon fans also are diehard and I didn’t see them having to close a tier off when they hit relegated like we did.

We will get there with a new north stand just not in the anticipated timescale of some. Once we've increase the spend per seat, get the upgraded infrastructure in place in terms of fan transportation and  open the warehouse and Holte Hotel as fan zones then I’ve no doubt they’ll look at expansion again. I hope they revisit and adapt the design but larger and redesign the exterior to be less bland.

  16. It’s just being every thread the incessant many about something that cannot be changed. The constant regurgitation.

Anyhow back to kits I do hope we go all out and don’t play it safe this season. A deep all claret shirt, a classic away and daring 3rd kit. Can also see the fashion range being a mix of modern and adidas classic with the trefoil.

The website will be replaced as it will no longer come under Fanatics I presume and its offerings growing exponentially. Too much tat currently. If you’re paying top dollar for a ticket you’re not gunna buy the shit in the shop presently.

  17. As others have said I don’t care too much who we decide to sell and buy as have full faith in the people in place and structure. We shouldn’t be worried about selling any player if our price is met or exceeded. We have to get better at selling players at the right time so that money can be reinvested into the squad.

  18. So you’d expect a hefty rise in season ticket prices now as they eek every penny towards keeping in line with UEFA’s cap … Not the clubs fault by they’ll need to squeeze every revenue stream in order to stay compliant. Loyal fans always seem to get hit the hardest. Maybe they could do a tiered system whereby new season ticket holders pay a percentage more than fans who’ve had one day for 8 years or more…

  19. The round badge from 82 is what some posters prefer. Common consensus is the like roper branded shirt will go down as a classic …The Lerner era badge certainly stands out on that shirt.

So I don’t get that the same posters bemoan the use of a blue background for the NSWE crest.
