Sorry to hear this - has it been confirmed they are gone?

There were rumblings that both parties agreed to end the deal early but nothing more said.

I'm really shocked at how cheap this shirt feels. I got a Dortmund knock off from Turkey last year that feels like a more premium fabric than this seasons Villa top.

  2. Just had the third kit delivered. A post Christmas present to myself. The quality of the shirt is way inferior to Kappa. It feels really cheap. Thank god Castore will be gone next season.

This still doesn’t make any sense at all. The whole rebranding exercise (under heck) + any lower costs in an amateurish phased rollout would still be more expensive than sticking with the crest that was finalised under purslow (and the club had already started updating some of branding with that crest).

It would be even more amateurish if as a hugely visible business we ran three bloody crests because we hadn’t had the sense to run branded paper stock down before the crest launch.

My sense is you’re just trying to create something that appears logical to explain such mind boggling incompetence when basically there is none.

How will it be more expensive?

  4. I've only given up booze 6 days ago and I've become the man who sets up a petition on the Internet. I'm sensible enough to wait until this new crest is announced before sharing it though.

I wonder what my next slide through middle age will bring.

The way you've phrased this suggests it's a joke more than a serious question, but if you're asking seriously the main advantage to Villa Park is that it exists, and it will definitely still exist in 10 years' time, whereas a new stadium does not exist and would be hard to build. There's no guarantee that in the intervening decade between deciding that's what we want to do and it actually being completed that we haven't become crap, entered financial difficulties, or been relegated to the Championship, as Everton's current experience should demonstrate.

So don't expand when business is booming and demand far exceeds availability?

You've also not answered the question. What are tangible positives of Villa Park.

  6. What are the current positives about Villa Park over a new stadium? Forget history and heritage for the purposes of this discussion.

    Pros to moving;

    • better local infrastructure

    •better travel options

•land we can rent out to restaurants for a pre and post match experience

    • a lot easier to put on other events like concerts, something that has been a struggle for years.

    •more seats

    CONS

    • Probably wouldn't be a local chippy
