    OK then, that worked 😘

So applying this logic, why are so many of our fans turning their noses up at Weston McKennie, who played in 34 of Juventus' 38 games last season?

I will continue my point. Juve won 9 league titles in a row before 2020 then McKennie joined and they haven't won one since.

I love Dougie and I'm absolutely gutted.

    BUT

If he was THAT good, wouldn't he be going somewhere better than Juventus?

They won the league 9 times in a row between 2010-2020. Fallen off a bit, but they can challenge for titles.

Good chance we see rogers play down the middle next season imo. Buendia also can play a central so i do think there is a spot out left available with zaniolo not returning

I know it's a squad and they will rotate and we will have injuries etc but our weakest position is CM because it has no cover. 2 wide spots and the support striker to be covered by Ramsey, Diaby, Bailey, McGinn, Tielemans, Rogers, Ramsey +  Iling-Junior if he signs.

Our CM is now Kamara (injured) and McKennie. McGinn and Tielemans can cover there but they are much better further forward, especially McGinn.

  4. It's a terrible deal and makes no sense at all.

We are losing our only available proper CM and replacing him with a player who will hopefully never get in the 11 and left sided midfielder when we already have Ramsey, Buendia, Rogers there.

  5. As someone point out you could be paying £1.5k-2k+ for a season ticket and be sat next to someone who has only paid £500-600.

Cut off all new STs to anyone on the list and cram in random corporate seating, which isn't even that given they have decided to put some in the lower north next to the away fans with the worst view possible. This is just Heck effectively saying to the waitlist, if anyone wants to pay over the odds for a ticket you jump the queue and take it over these poor people who are miles ahead of you.

How many more years now until regular folk on the waitlist get a chance at tickets? He will just cram more hospitality in at any chance he gets.

It isn't just £20m though, it's also the value of the players included.

Well the other two aren't worth 60m so this isn't adding up. Dreadful deal.

Depends if Emery wants the ones being offered surely . That's the deciding factor. We won't take on 2 players he won't use.

The more players they keep adding the less it helps us. If we did a direct swap Luiz for 3 players for example, don't we still need to sell someone for about 50m? We need cash as far as I am aware.

  8. Juve don't have the cash and they don't have any players to really offer us that are decent. Wasting time here, move on.

If we have to sell at least entertain clubs that can do something for us.

Jeez, it's the middle of June, and it's cold. Not just 'less warm than you might expect', or 'pleasantly cool', but actually cold

Watch it skip all the nice weather of mid 20s and just go straight to 35+ degrees.

Barkley replaces Luiz, Youri plays a few more games, they both play 30.

Yes there's a drop off there, but it's no where near the level of drop off we would have trying to replace Watkins or Martinez.

Assumes we are signing Ross, and he continues his form of last season but it's certainly not bad.

If Barkley plays 30 matches for us we are in big big trouble.

Southgate has finally grown a pair and made a tough decision, the right decision I might add Grealish has had a very average season.

He still had a better season than players who have gone.

Shaw has played 12 games all season.
Toney was suspended for most of it and then awful since he's returned.

There's others that have played less games, been injured for the last few months as well.

  12. Wharton going despite only playing 16 top flight games, he was at Blackburn the first half of this season.

Grealish was constantly told by waistcoat he needs to be playing in European matches despite flying for us. He moves to play these European games, has his flair coached out of him now doesn't go. Doesn't make much sense to me, despite him having a poor 2nd half to the season he's got experience and offers something different.

Fully aware these two are different positions, but he's going to be 5th choice CM, it's your attacking options that will win you these tournaments. Don't need 5 CBs either.

  13. If he wasn't playing in the Copa America fair enough but the final of that is 1am Europe time on the 15th, he'd then have to play in the Olympics on the 24th. He has to have a rest somewhere and he's a first choice national player now, this kind of situation is for the players not as involved in that.

We blocked Digne and Diaby from playing for France and they aren't going to the Euros. Can't block them and then let Emi go.

  14. Selling our only actual CM would be a baffling decision.

What a state football is in if we have to sell one of Kamara, Luiz, Ramsey because they are "Pure profit".

  15. Anything more than 30m for Gallagher is insane, he's got 1 year left on his contract.

He doesn't even get into our best 11 and for anything north of 40m we need to improve the 11.

  16. This just seems like nonsense to me, it's a dreadful deal no matter how it's structured. McKennie isn't good enough to replace Luiz, he'd be a squad option at best so we'd still need two top CMs to come in.

  17. For the most part we struggled whenever one of Kamara or Luiz were missing, we have very little depth there as it is and Kamara is out until probably next year. Luiz is one of the last players I'd be selling this summer, we need to add to CM not create an entire new one.

His position is literally the last one on the field for which we need upgrades.

How about a starting DM / someone who can challenge Kamara who isn't back at full power until the new year? A new RB? A new LB after shedding Digne's wages?

It's a valid point, if we sold Ramsey perhaps it happens but as it stands we have Rogers, Ramsey, Buendia who all mainly play off that side. Diaby has also played there.

We currently have no real option behind Pau, Luiz and Kamara. RB feels like an issue, but Cash, Konsa and Nedeljkovic might cover it.

  19. I don't think he leaves City yet. Pep will tell him he's part of the squad and that he needs him to play his part, he likely gets less and less minutes but it locks him in for the season.

Jack will back himself that he can get back into the first 11 and it might be possible but I just think they will go with the pace of Doku a lot regardless of how well Jack plays.
