Their front 3 are decent but I think we can handle them.

Frankfurt are apparently quoting 70 million for him
Wow, seriously, that’s Joao Neves territory

I quite like the look of Hugo Larsson at Frankfurt for the DM role. Young but already played 19 senior games for them this season.
-
Stupid question but do loan fees go against FFP?
-
I like the look of André at Fluminense.
-
I think we might have been earmarking Hackney at Boro as an understudy so could see us going in for him, although he’s a bit more of a CM than a DM (IMHO)
Thuram is a good shout but we should have got him at least a year ago. He’ll be a decent wedge of cash now.
Ruben Neves fits the bill statistically but it’s whether he wants to keep his 240k salary in favour of playing Premier League football again.
Lots of youngsters we can throw the dice at I guess. Kamara was only young when we were sniffing around so there’s talent about.
Over to our scouting team.

João Neves is one that quite intrigues me
Would take a big offer I would imagine. I think we missed a trick with Vermeeren personally.

During my lunch had a look at some of the DM players, that are statistically close to Kamara. There’s quite a list to go at
Some on there would have to be loans due to them being at the likes of Man City etc. others we could buy out right.
Guido Rodriquez (29), Ruben Neves (26), Ibrahim Sangare (26), Kephrem Thuram (22), Amadou Onana (22), Alan Varela (22), Pablo Maia (22), Andre (22), Lucas Gourna-Douath (21), Ezequil Fernandez (21), Kristjan Asllani (21), Federico Redondo (21), Tyler Morton (21), Hayden Hackney (21), Sivert Mannsverk (21), Maximo Perrone (21), Joao Neves (19)

I'm sorry if I offended you,
We would never pay Lukaku's wages plus he's failed in the PL too many times. We would never pay Felix's wages and he fails to live up to his costs.
No offence taken, the Lukaku comment was just to spark debate. He’s a good player, with a good scoring record but far too much baggage.
Felix and F. Torres were in there as it was rumoured we were interested previously. Personally I’d rather go for a less pricey option on the left such as Gouiri, who I think would work really in an Emery system.
I just tire of the openly critical posters here sometimes. We all have opinions and they are all equally valid.

These player wish lists are hilarious at times.
I get the LM/LW options being fanciful but what’s so hilarious about the others?
Also, supporters can have knowledge about players, which they’ve watched or researched, etc, without the throw away FIFA/FM comments being banded about the place to discredit genuine knowledge.
If you have other player options then by all means say. There seems to be far too many on here that like to ridicule other posters but add nothing to the overall discussion themselves.

No one really has any idea on where we are FFP wise as it’s all guess work. If my post above is classed as Football Manager nonsense how much do we think we will spend in the summer (if we qualify for CL)?
I don’t think most of the names I mentioned are unattainable, with possibly Simons, Wirtz the exceptions.
-
Personally I think we need a new RB/CB and I’d go for Geertruida (1st) or Simakan (2nd).
Then we need a CM, DM cover, LM/LW and possibly a striker.
Veerman for the CM as he’s class and wouldn’t be too expensive from PSV. I’d like Bakayoko form PsV also but we’re stacked with lefties wide right.
DM I would have liked Vermeeren but that ship has sailed. Perhaps a punt on a youngster like Seiwald or similar. K Thuram would be nice but he might be a bit pricey. I’ve always liked Caqueret at Lyon.
For LM I’d love us to break the bank and go for someone like Simons or Wirtz or similar. We need someone on the left that can do what Bailey’s done on the right for us.
If we were going down the LW/IF route then Felix or F Torres would be decent shouts.
Striker I haven’t got a clue. Liked the look of Openda before he went to Leipzig. Boniface would be good but not sure he’d fit as he plays more from the left. Perhaps a wildcard youngster like Kilicsoy or Konate perhaps.
Would anyone take Lukaku on a short term deal?

If we do go for a new stadium, can we get one of those cool 3d billboards outside where the lion comes out of it.

All the top teams have huge state of the art stadiums now, if we don’t want to get left behind then we should at least be looking at is an option.
It doesn’t have to be a soulless dome like so many of them, it could still be ‘Villa’ with lots of yellow on blue being used throughout its design

Weren’t we interested in the CB from Peterborough or somewhere like that?
Would like us to look at Antonio Silva or Scalvini. We’d need CL though.
-
If Chelsea want Duran, why don’t we do a straight loan swap for Ugochukwu as he’d be decent Kamara cover.

Concept is good, but why have the Lions taken a turn for the worse the last couple of pages?
Last one looks like he was about to throw up, and this one looks like he's got no torso.
The front legs/chest could be better granted and I’d add some extra detail to the mane if I had the skills

Donk gone, Vermeeren in, for his 13m release clause,
bosh done

Not sure about the Morgan links to be honest as he seems awfully similar to Philogene, who we’ve just sold and has better stats in the Championship. Out of all the Middlesbrough players on the day I was most impressed by their young forward.

Rather than risk David I’d go for Pavlidis at AZ as he looked lively against us and has some decent consistent scoring stats too, including in European football.
Failing that another youngster, perhaps Wahi or Konate. I think a left sided forward would help us as they could cover up front but also give us another option on the left of JJ is out of form/injured/suspended.
I’d be inclined to keep Konsa centrally and opt for Geertruida or Simakan who can play the defensive RB if needed but also CB if Konsa is out.
I like both Truffert and Frimpong and would be happy with both, especially Frimpong.
I wouldn’t go near Zubimendi as he’s a bit pricey, even with his release clause. Guido Rodriquez would be a decent cover for Kamara or one of the young uns out there (Larsson, Seiwald, Reits, etc)…or just play Tim there.
I’d like better cover for Luiz as well, perhaps sacrificing the LB position (Truffert) for this. (Veerman at PSV please)
So mine would be Pavlidis, Geertruida, Veerman, Frimpong and Reits.
