With all the talks about player sales, and who some think weay need to sell etc.

    Have we discussed Tielemans?

We did sign him on a free, and he is probably worth good money, also potentially someone we can replace cheaper?

Not saying I want him sold by any stretch, but as we know, these things go in order of value/age Vs contribution and replaceability etc.

I think he’s vital now and next season when we get CL footie. The season after next I can see us selling him.

  2. I’ve also changed my mind about the DM options. I’d go all in on Geertruida and play him at DM but then slotting back into the back three when we have possession, either centrally on the right hand side with Konsa central.

Would mean we could have two attacking fullback options for some games or more defensive with Konsa/Geertruida as the right side of a back four.

  3. Miguel Gutierrez at Girona would do well in this team. Only 22, Real Madrid youth player so highly technical, passing stats are really high, release clause of 28m, bit steep but we might be able to get him for a lower fee potentially.

He's a bit attacking though and I think we might go for a more ‘Digne’ type of player, a bit more defensive perhaps.

If someone paid 25m for cash they definitely would have no brains alright

We can argue the price but the point being if it’s anything higher than 5m he’d be contributing positively to our FFP figures.

Even if we got 15m for him that’s still 10m.

  5. Not specifically Villa Park related but as the Lucas Oil Stadium has been touted as a good bench mark and design for ‘New’ Villa Park, if and when that ever happened.

I had a nosey at the colts websites and found the below virtual tour, gives you the view from anywhere in the stadium. Filled 10 mins of my life 🤪

There’s no extract as such as it take’s you straight to the virtual tour itself so apologies mods if this breaches guidelines.

@burchy Think you meant me, we get confused a lot. If it's any consolation @Shaun Teales Moustache I'd rather be you...

Anyway, 1874 kit design I did, but updated to the new Adidas template, with the most likely crest to be used at this point.

Does anyone know if we are definitely parting with BK8 for next season? I'm not putting them on my designs because screw those guys, just wondering if we are getting a new sponsor is all.

    Oops, my bad

Still looks as good in the Adidas template, nice work.

Also, random question, in your profile it says The Nock, that wouldn't be Cannock would it? Only ask as I'm originally from that neck of the woods (Wyrley)

I think the Lucas oil stadium is what we should aspire to (eventually), remove the big window and have the jolted end and the steps there. Anyone good on photoshop to do that, would look sweet as

  8. For me Frimpong would be a replacement for Cash. A Frimpong purchase wouldn’t and probably shouldn’t happen without Cash going out the other way. He’d be a massive improvement on Cash's forward play though.

If, and it’s a big if, we go for Frimpong we’d need the DM to slot in at CB when he bombs on.

    I didn’t even mention ACL

My dream/fantasy signing has been Chiesa… I don’t write players off if they’ve been injured at some point. I’m massively looking forward to having Mings and Buendia back… and also Kamara (what a blow that was)…

Just try to avoid signing players who are regularly injured, pick up knocks or tend to have long lay offs… those who struggle to keep up a sustained run of games…  I don’t think there’s anything wrong, unfair or extreme about that view…

Maybe an example and a player who has previously been linked or discussed is Dybala… it makes even less sense to hand big, long contracts to ageing players too - as we’ve seen, we struggle to shift them later…

It wasn’t a strong point or extreme view… I’m just fed up and annoyed by the rotten luck we have had with injuries and would prefer to avoid such or as bad situations in future… but, a lot of these things are out of anyone’s control.

No worries mate, hear you about the injuries we’ve had this season, Kamara especially.

    G. Rodriquez is just a player that I think fits us as a DM, he knows the two Emi’s and he’d fit right into position as he plays there for both Argentina (35 caps) and Real Betis. He’s on a free so it would be silly not to at least speak to him. He knows Acuna too, who we were linked to previously. He’s only on about 27k too.

Hermoso is on about 136k though ☹️

Remove the high earners who aren’t key players and bring in some savvy free transfers to lift the quality and provide more worthwhile options… I think that would be wise. Easier said than done though 😆

No injury prone players either… I’m fed up and pissed off with all the injuries we’ve had so far. We need some stability and consistency to keep progressing…

How about Florian Wirtz, just recovered from an ACL, don’t want him though due to him being injury prone?

An ACL is a major injury but it doesn’t mean the player is then a dud to be avoided.

If we do our due diligence there are players out there that could improve us, whether they’re coming back off a serious injury and not.

Picking up some good free transfers would help boost the squad and options

Guido Rodriquez and Hermoso please. I’d also check out Martin Terrier at Rennes. He’s recovered from his ACL and is now bad in the team and scoring. He had 21 goals or something form LW/IF the season before his injury.
