If Bale get eighty million though, I mean, they could buy a very good bale replacement, baines at left back, a very good striker and a very good right winger with that money. Call me crazy but if they do indeed get eighty then it could end up improving their team.

Don't know why, but I've got a feeling Tonev could be this season's Benteke. He probably won't hit the heights Benteke did, but I think he's going to be very highly rated this time next year.

From what Ive seen so far it should be Luna who becomes this seasons Benteke, the problem with that is...have a big club like Sevilla really made a big mistake like that.

 

Sevilla have been making a lot of mistakes lately. There's a reason they've been losing all their best players and progressively been sliding down the La Liga table. Giving up on a good left back would just be one in a line of errors.

This is his best chance. He's walking into a central midfield that might have been the worst in the championship but on a team that is decent for the championship outside of that. He will be given first team chances and also probably play alongside a ball winning midfielder like Dickson etuhu or Jason Lowe to complement him. He's gotta take it

To be completely honest though he might actually improve our central midfield. That's how god awfulit was last year. I'm actually talking myself into believing this could be a good signing for Rovers. Wow.

The best thing you can do now is impersonate Con & start your own Bannan thread on the BRFC message boards. Who knows? They might believe you. Perhaps you can put in a bid with Con for the hoof charts, .gifs & heat maps.

One thing Bannan guarantees is to get bums off seats.

The only problem is they head straight for the exit doors never to return.

Sorry, but I really don't know what Blackburn have done to deserve this.

Hopefully Venky's will soon start giving bantams away for nowt starting with Bannan once they've witnessed his first training session at first hand & realise the error of their ways.

Why does this have to happen to me?

Poor old Rovers13 - losing Big Sam, Venky's, Steve Kean, Relegation, constantly being knocked out of the domestic cups by the greatest team on the planet & now `Wee Barry` joining your club. Could it possibly get any worse?

To any Rovers fan contemplating suicide by jumping off the nearest floodlight in the Darwen End I offer you just one simple piece of advice.

Honestly its karmic. Our central midfield was awful this year, and back in January on brfcs someone suggested going in for bannan on a loan. Every one seemed to think this was a genius idea. I tried to warn them off, tell them that he's pretty terrible, but everyone seemed convinced he was what Danny Murphy was supposed to be when we signed him.

So the venkys, losing big Sam, 3 straight relegation battles (the middle one unsuccessful),and kean we didn't near deserve but bannan indeed goes to rovers us supporters will deserve the horrors.

Don't believe the hype. When he's playing well he's a pleasure to watch - hopefully he'll get a bit of confidence back with you guys and I think you'll find him a perfectly acceptable addition. He's not proved quite enough for the Prem, but he's by no means a bad player.

Yeah I watched a lot of villa games last year so I saw a lot of him. The championships really physical and that's my biggest worry for bannan I think. Though maybe with his world class crossing he''ll help Jordan Rhodes score even more :-).

Best part is if you break in at 17, you got tons of time to even have a few stops and starts while eventually succeeding.

Samba was the only one to keep Benteke quiet last season, and that was mostly due to a bent ref desperate to keep the QPR media train rolling.

Aside from that, no-one had an answer to him. Even the 'great' SAF with putting Smalling on him with advice to take him out at any opportunity just ended up with Smalling on his arse.

No possibility of 2nd season syndrome. He hasn't become any less of a beast overnight.

Nothing to worry about with Samba, I don't think anyone beats him in the air. Bassong kind of shut him down as well.

This is probably my biggest achievement in FM so far: Getting Canvey Island in the Premier League.

It's been a bit rediculous, the club's reputation in the championship is lower than some league 2 teams, and that paired with my absolutely terrible sponsorship deals makes signing players a nightmare.

Will be interesting to see how my budgets will change for next season, since I'm working on a 90k/week wage budget and no transfer money whatsoever. This leads to my my highest earners being on a measly 6k/week.

Here's hoping playing in the Premier League will generate enough money and rep to build a proper squad!

Andy Carroll is just a glorified parks player, a big cumbersome donkey.

Benteke absolutely smashes Carroll in every department.

Power, pace, ball control, dribbling ability, hold up play, left foot, right foot, heading ability & most importantly of all finishing ability.

Benteke is simply awesome & frighteningly, in the best possible sort of way, he can only get even better still. Scary.

The irony is that it is Benteke who is actually worth every penny of the reputed £35M plop paid for Carroll.

Whilst you might be right, Carroll is still a world class player. You only need to look at his goals to know that. The main issue with him is being injured so much.

Carroll world class seriously? The only world class British player is Bale.

the transfer request came in around page four hundred on here I think. Took over two hundred pages and there was a happy ending. 

Also, and I just thought of this, how many managers would have been able to keep Villa up? He basically had to buy/slash integrate an entire new first team and do this while cutting a wage bill filled with vastly overpaid players. And he only just kept Villa up, so who else would've been able to do so? Seems like the championship was almost surely a destination.

It's his job, he was being paid far less than what he was worth to the club and he wanted to be paid more, which he honestly deserved. Now he is. Don't think that's some insane ego.
