Sylla played 90 mins in Mali's 2-2 draw with Benin today!!! Guess we won't be calling him French any more!! Only draw back of this is we will lose him now in African Cup of Nations

Imagine if this guy becomes a beast like Benteke, we keep Benteke, and played them together !

Ah, i've watched about 10 matches of full highlights of this guy playing last season, doesn't look great tbh. I'm normally positive but he seemed to shy away from the ball all the time and didn't seem overly comfortable on the ball!! Who know, i'm normally positive but not jumping with joy!

He reminds me of a (hopefully slightly better version of) Joseph Yobo!

If we sign this guy and a cheap gk + a new LB (presuming the others sign) does this mean we have a much smaller budget than we thought? 

Just been on sky that we have agreed a fee for him! Plays for FC Groningen and everywhere it seems to state that he is a winger but i've just done some digging on him and it seems that this season he's played through the middle, and has a great free kick! Anyone got any more info??

Belhanda reeeeally would be the icing on top of the cake. He used to be a CDM aswell so could easily play in a 3 in the midfield and push forward, which is EXACTLY what we need!

The problem at Newcastle in my opinion, is that Pardew is a shite manager! Don't get any good vibes from him as a motivator at all, whereas with Lambert i really feel he knows his stuff!

Well all the Beligan press didn't think Benteke was ready either... i seem to remember the 'Belgian Heskey'. Hopefully we're now signing the Danish Heskey then!!!!

Couldn't care less about buying English now, maybe Lambert thinks he's exhausted and cherry picked the best from lower leagues? Maybe Murphy will come to fruition though.

I will say, i'd much rather take a punt on this guy than sign Charlie Austin!!

Genuinely think this guy is a CB version of Benteke. Tonev 2.5 + Helenius 1 + Okore 5? = 8.5m + Cresswell (maybe 4.5) will be £13m, i think after that we would have another £10m atleast (providing a few players leave) and i hope that will be spend on a player to link midfield and the strikers!

So we're being linked to 3 Danes (Okore, Helenius and Cornelius) and 2 Bulgarians in Tonev and Popov.

I like the idea of signing players in "blocks" like Inter & Milan did with the germans and the dutch back in the day as it in theory helps to settle at the club
