  1. People have said it time and time but people don't seem to take on board the fact that it doesn't matter how much the owner is worth, it's all down to how much they're willing to invest.

Prime example is Liverpool who have owners worth a few Billion$.

You then have QPR owner Lakshmi Mittal who is worth 16.7 BILLION. not far behind city. Fair play he spent a bit on Remy and Samba etc but they're no Aguero's and Toure's are they and he could more than afford that calibre.

Bill Kenright it worth 10 million £. Yes they have other backers but they've ran it well as a business.

  2.

Jageika, Pienaar, Coleman, Fellaini (he was class for Everton), Distin, Lescott, Neville, Arteta, Cahill.

Even players like Gravesen, Carsley, Yakubu (even though his fee was stupid) did a good job for them.

Ha! Completely forgotten about Gravesen. We could do with him in our side!

Thomas Gravesen invested his money really well when he finished playing.

He now lives in Vegas with a pornstar and is worth over £100m!!!

    Mental stuff

  3. I think Bob might be worth a little bit more?????:

In 1985 Simpson founded Cross Timbers Oil Company, and served as Chairman of the Board since July 1, 1996.[1] In 2001 the name was changed to XTO Energy.

In 2009 XTO Energy was ranked 325th on the Forbes Global 2000.[1]

In December 2009, ExxonMobil announced proposal to acquire XTO Energy for $41 billion.[2] The merger was completed in June 2010.[3]

  4. Mark Walter isn't that rich on his own but he is part of the Guggenheim Partners, who own assets to the value of $200 Billion Dollars!!

I wasn't really sure what that would mean in regards to investment of a club, but they have purchased the LA Dodgers and just as an example of the money they have pumped into them:

'On January 15, 2014, the Dodgers agreed to a seven-year, $215 million, contract extension with pitcher Clayton Kershaw. The deal was the largest contract for a pitcher, ecliping Justin Verlander's deal from the previous year.[26]'

  5. Haven't commented on here for a while (mainly because i had forgotten my username).

Personally I am extremely excited by this, as i'm sure most of us are. In terms of not wanting to buy trophies, we're in a situation now where we are being told by our billionaire owner that we should be shouting with delight about drawing with Southampton at home. We're about to play Hull City at home and I for one haven't got a glimmer of hope that we will beat them. It's just the way we've been made to feel after watching the shite we've had to put up with for THREE YEARS.

Bring on dirty, filthy, immoral USD $$$$$.

I'm more than happy for us to go and spunk money all over Europe picking up high class talent.

Could you imagine having a player like Yaya Toure in the centre of our midfield?

More importantly no more **** Luna's and Tonev's!!!!!!!!

  6. Noticed Julie commented on the Saivet link earlier, which somebody openly admitted they made up the other day to see how much attention it would receive. The scary part is she is a financial advisor? WHAT!

'So what you reckon i should do with my money Julie?'

'lots, and lots, and lots, of lottery tickets'

  7. I imagine he would have been on about 30k, agent probably banged on about how little the club obviously had to pay to get him here and that was probably reflected slightly in his wages! Even if it's just 500k we get for him, it will pay Okores wages for 33 weeks lol
