I dont think the FPP rules will be that hard to work around. Humor the idea that Ellison buys villa, we sign cavani on 10k a week, next day cavani becomes an ambassador for oracle which happens to pay him 350k a week. Our wage bil would be FPP compliant.

In any case, i dont believe we will do a man city, thats just incredibly optimistic and far fetched, id be over the moon with a owner that cares and actually knows how to run a club!

Decent theory, but this would also make it unbelievably easy for Cavani to buy himself out of his Aston Villa contract and sign for another football team for free haha.

One of the biggest giveaways for me is that Mat Kendricks has completely changed his writing style and direction of his articles towards the club.

I really like Mat but his Journalism can be seen as slightly cowardly at times, but not recently and i don't think he would do it unless he knew Lambert and Lerner were going. 

Just my hunch, also Howard Hodgson is quite well connected and he is certain it is going ahead

No they are not.

Considering he has done nothing all season, has gained a reputation for not giving his all for the club, the fans hate him (Fulham are a fairly placid bunch tbh too), 3 managers have barely played him and a guess that £65k a week lazy strikers, with zero motivation, will,  in the Championship, get found out fairly quickly.... I am going to say no.

Jorge Jesus is the man if we get financial backing!!!! He's done a great job at Benfica and has probably achieved everything that he's going to be able to do with them, domestic league, 2 europa league finals. 

I know someone who is contracted by villa. At the end of the season they discuss next year's contract. This year they've been told no contracts will be discussed for a while. Possibly to do with impending new ownership

I'd also add that with football vision and $$$ come hand in hand. No point them having a vision of being in the champions league is they're only worth say $1bn. 

I'd raise that $$$ is as important as vision

 

I'm more interested in their vision rather than whatever money they have. If they are buy a club for £200 million whoever it is aren't going to be short of a few bob. Oncemore, there are billionaire owners of clubs out there that spend very little, or get teams relegated.

I like to think that Randy will sell to someone who will be willing to push the club on and invest. Doesn't need major investment, just need 3 or 4 decent players on higher wages.

 

Fulhams guy is worth 4.9$bn but to be fair they did spend quite heavily in Jan, they got that Greek striker who's hardly played for £10m, holtbys wages, heitinger would be on a few bob too etc. Probably others that i am forgetting too.
