Where is he going to go? He's in a top 4 team in the Premier League. The teams above us won't be in for him?.

I'm delighted he is performing now... makes us look far more dangerous.

City, Arsenal, and Liverpool have Doku, Saka, and Salah so they won't be.

Has now got more goals and assists in the league for us than Grealish has for City

On current form he will surpass Grealish's best numbers for us. But Grealish is far more than assists and goals. But for pure excitement, players like Jack and Leon are who we love to watch the most!

Or it could be that he's finally being coached properly? No need to be negative for the sake of being negative.

He is confident that's the difference. Injuries and playing for Gerrard caused him to doubt himself. Now he is confident and feels loved his happy and is playing with freedom. It's not complicated.

Obviously the team playing well and winning gives him motivation too.

  4. Most people here praising him were hammering him and had him first on their list to sell. It's a funny old world isn't it!

This just shows us that we need to be more patient and understanding. He was most people's scapegoat 12 months ago. We all need to remember that we are dealing with human beings not robots.

We need to afford a measure of respect and support to all our players. Cash has been in for criticism this season, and criticism is fine. But it has to fair, and preferably constructive. We shouldn't be in the business of condemning our own players, and throwing out unfair accusations and insinuations like was happening to Leon a year ago.

Bailey has always been liked by his managers, coaches and teammates a like for his professionalism and character. He is fun and jovial character. No one at the club ever said a bad word about him.

I still remember a member of a certain podcast chastising and righting him off for crying after missing that easy chance. That just showed us how much he cared. To turn it into something to hate on was unfair. I called him out as a hater (in regards to Bailey, as he seems like a good guy generally) and he has now rightly changed his tune (due to Bailey's form). But he should've been far more considered in his assessments. Bailey has well and truly forced him to swallow his ill thought out words

So happy for Leon. Great we have tied him down for a few more years, and hoping to see this form continue for the rest of the season and beyond.

  5. Bailey terrified them. Everytime he got the defenders were soiling themselves. Sublime goal too!

What a pass from Luiz. Incredible pass with the outside of the foot.

Tielemens looking a bit ropey, but the finish for his goal was emphatic.

Great result against the worst team in Premier league history!

    On to the next one!

We won't be. We have to sell a first team player. Otherwise its no signings.

Who says so? All this is speculation. Being careful with ffp doesn't mean we have to sell our best players. We already have more money coming in with the Addidas deal. Then which European competition will we be in?

We will be in a better position next season without any more big signings. Sousa and Nedeljovic are huge talents and will sure up our full back positions. Rogers will be in a better position to impact the first team. So to Duran. Ming and Buendia will be back. We will be stronger next season just by keeping squad as is. Then if we more on Digne, and the deadwood we will be better with ffp.

I'd quite like to see how things would look with Tielemens and Diaby swapped.

Diaby out on the wing and Youri up top where he's been effective previously.

Could be suicidal, but would give us something a bit different.

Put Diaby right move McGinn left. That's the adjustment that could've work v Newcastle. Burn was there to be got at. But Diaby lacked to confidence to clinically target him.

He gave ball away for corner that caused

goal and then gave away again for 3rd goal.  The amount of times he jogged back after loosing it pissed me off far more than his performance

Fair points. But the corner was defend poorly. That wasn't his fault. The second goal was very fortunate for Newcastle. The 3rd goal we was on him he should have turned back after looking like he was passing back.

He still a crucial interception, and a couple of important tackles.

The third was his quality in possession not being quite at the level we need in tough games.

The scapegoating has been on the agenda for some for awhile now. Lenglet gets a lot less criticism despite also being on loan. Lenglet more at fault yesterday for the goals than Nico.

Lenglet was better than Konsa. Konsa followed a fine showing at Chelsea with a donkey of a performance last night. Still look him and he rarely has these poor games.

Zaniolo needs more games. It's as simply as that. He is still looking rushed.

We were all furious with how we lost last night and people needed to vent. But it wasn't  Zaniolo's fault, we were already 3 down when he came on. People seem to expect miracles!

  10. Clearly not sharp. Last season when he came back from injury it took 5 or 6 games to get up to speed. Once he gets a r8n of game he'll be firing.

He inconsistencies come from injury. Once he is sharp he is consistent.

  11. Bailey was scintillating when he came on. Apart from a poor corner he was excellent.

Has to start on Saturday. So long as he is fit enough. I believe he only played 30 minutes to ensure he would be okay for Saturday.

I think the Toney for that money might have happened a season ago but that's over now with FFP. Might be stuck at Brentford until contract runs down

I expect his fee to top out around 80m plus performance related add ons like 20 goals in a season up to another 10m.

He will fit in well at both Arsenal and Chelsea, with their pacy wide men. Chelsea's transfer policy has been giving very long contracts to younger players. So I expect they need to sell first. And even then, they will be reluctant to pay over the odds. Particularly as they don't look like  getting champions league. Otherwise Chelsea would push the price close to 100m. But I expect Toney will tell Brentford he wants to go to Arsenal, which will prevent a bidding war.

Errrrm... Spurs, Newcastle and Bayern in for JJ. Would be useful for ffp, but you don't like to see this.

Made up drivel. The article 90% (minimum) click bait.

I think it bodes well that Fbref have him as left footed and Transfermarkt have him as right footed. So he must be pretty good with both feet you'd hope

Yep he is right footed but almost as good with his left. He will be a target to aim at (not necessarily with high balls) that has the technique to make the ball stick and link up with the willing runners around him.

We could even go full battering ram mode and put Duran up top and him and Zaniolo behind.

Anyone who only judged Grealish on his goals and assists isn’t worth listening to

For sure. He could control games, and pull all the strings. Being surrounded by so much talent at citeh restricts his game, and they will never see him at his very best. He needs to be given the keys! But at citeh who's going to do that when they De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva.
