I made a complaint to the BBC last week basically calling them out on their hypocrisy on their coverage of lower league pitch invasions and our pitch invasion, while also accepting that they were right to heavily criticise the first pitch invasion before the end of the match. Here's their response:

"We appreciate that football is subjective and that fans will hold a hugely diverse range of opinions, especially during a tense local derby such as this.

In this case, Mark Lawrenson and Jonathan Pearce were simply expressing their own views on what they could see at that moment in time. As the incident was unfolding, Mark expressed his criticism for those who ran onto the pitch, but shortly after he pointed out that the majority of the Villa fans who remained in the stands were booing the fans on the pitch as they felt they were ruining the win for everyone else. Mark and Jonathan didn’t state that those on the pitch were only Villa fans, they simply expressed their concerns as the pitch invasion occurred when the game was still in play meaning the referee could still have abandoned the game.

We’re sorry to learn that you’re unhappy with the commentary and we can assure you that our Football production teams are aware of the issues that have been raised."

Completely dodged the subject of the complaint.

Birmingham accepted the charge of failing to ensure no spectators or unauthorised persons were permitted to encroach on to the pitch and were handed the punishment by a Football Association independent regulatory commission.

I think that picture of the villa fan with the **** on his head doing the rounds summed up the 1st lot of pitch invaders.

Just started Far Cry 3 really enjoying it, after completing Tales of Xillia I was going to play the 2nd one but I got draw to Far Cry 3 after watching them playing Far Cry 4 on Ginx

Just watched from dusk till dawn on netflix I loved the film had no idea they made a series out of it. I enjoyed it. Breaking bad is next on the list.

I do try and look for positives in everything but after yesterday I really am struggling to find anything positive with this bunch of players except on paper they looks a good mid table team who are under performing... i am not having a go at Sherwood but I have always questioned changing managers this late in the season. Lambert should have been fired at XMAS and the new manager handed a decent transfer kitty. I believe that Lerner/Fox left it late so they diddnt have to spend in the January window. Sherwood will now become the new puppet for Lerner.....keep us up without spending cash. That leaves Tim a really difficult, if not impossible task. By rights, all our anger should have been directed at Lerner! Sherwood needs to become yet another 'miracle worker' whilst Lerner escapes the considerable flak that he deserves after 4 years of underinvestment! Please Mr Lerner, give us back our club!

I really cant see this bunch winning 5 games! When the going gets tough they retreat into a shell. If we cant beat Stoke a team who have nothing to play for with half their squad injured ( had a Stoke fan at work all week showing me how many players they had out) we ain't going to beat a team fighting to stay up this bunch couldn't beat an egg!!!

Well Tim is now the manager of Aston Villa, he might not be everyone's cup of tea but he is our new manager so lets get behind him. If he can improve on the anti football we have been playing and tell it like it is ( instead of we played well and we will go again) then that will be an improvement.

If we go on to lose every game and not score then fair enough but the bloke has just been given the job if you dont like if go support small heath!!!

Lerner is not going to sanction another big contract anyway, he wants rid of the club so dishing out a 3 year contract would be pointless. We are stuck with Lambert untill he walks Lerner wont sack him cause he will have to pay him off. Then what will happen is who ever is number 2 will be offered the job on a short term contact.
