The video has my mate’s son in the foreground so I don’t think he’ll want his nipper on this site.
I’m not IT savvy enough to be able to edit on my phone but there’s a number of fans there so no doubt it will appear on social media some time soon.
Fair enough

Just been sent a vid by a mate as he’s there watching Villa train. Jack comes over to have his picture taken with the kids, someone says “sign the contract Jack” and his response was “dunno about that”.
Hopefully just fun and games on Jack’s part
Let's see it then?

I don't know what to think anymore. Can somebody think for me?

Have to say its suspiciously quiet this evening from the usual tap in merchants from the last few days who are all claiming this to be in the bag for City.

Its highly likely I will still be here checking at 2am. Absolutely bonkers this is.

Absolutely no way he would be there with the risk of injury if we were on the brink of accepting 100 million for him surely.

Jack is just using City to get a better contract.
Now that sounds much better than my suggestion!

For what it's worth.
IF he does stay, it will be oh so much sweeter knowing that they bid 100m and he decided to stay. It will make him even more of a hero than he currently is now.Come on Jack. Believe in the project!
They wouldn't have bid if he hasn't given them the puppy dog eyes mate, it is pretty obvious if we accept he will go. The only reason he is staying is if we don't sell. Clearly at that point he will sign a new deal as it will be more money but it won't be because he doesn't want to leave.

Something a bit fishy about this one

I hope not but personally I can't shake the idea we have gone so quiet in the transfer market because we are waiting to see what happens.

Yeah you are right. Unused sub on Wednesday against Costa Rica

Doesn't appear to be in the squad for the friendly they are currently playing. Absolutely no idea if a lot of first reamers are left out also.

why can’t any of villa dedicated reporters actually come with the exclusives
Seems to me like Tom Collomoose has whipped it in from the right and Preece has got a toe on it but the keeper has kept it out, now we are all waiting for Percy to smash in the rebound.

Most of those were scouted locally though - agree they've all been good value, but Smith knew Ollie from Brentford already, same with Konsa, Targett and Martinez already played in the PL, McGinn was a Steve Bruce signing (can't believe I'm saying that). The only one that was scouted further afield was Traore (and even then he'd played in England briefly for Chelsea) and he's been 50/50 so far and very inconsistent.
All the players I mentioned from Leicester were signed from other leagues and have all been hugely successful. We haven't bought in Lange and MacKenzie (who was at Leicester when they unveiled some of these gems) to just scout players down the road. The players that we have scouted from further afield like Traore, Sanson, Trezeguet, Guilbert, Nakamba, Wesley have all failed to nail down a first team place long term - though the likes of Sanson could come good this season. And if we're paying Lange and MacKenzie millions per year just to scout players in this country (who will be overpriced especially if they're English) it seems a bit strange.
For me it's about balance. Championship has been good for us and we should continue to use it for the top players in the division, as well as looking at PL players if the value is there - but I'd also like to see us widen our network search for players so we're not missing out on quality players in other leagues. That's why the potential Alvarez signing was interesting but there haven't been many more links like that.
Yeah cant argue with much of that, I guess its about finding the likes of Buendia and Martinez elsewhere before we pay 50 million for them. Hopefully once we solidify our prem place which we seem to have done we can look to take a few more risks like Alvarez. I am the same though I absolutely love an exciting signing like that.

Don't think that's quite right, he wasn't a regular the season before last but still played quite a lot, last season he started pretty much every game for them and when he got injured he was their star player and was brilliant when they played us at VP. Not in Jack's league though I agree.
I think we just need to scout like Leicester do. They found Soyuncu, Fofana and Ndidi through excellent scouting (and Mahrez and Kante before that). Then signed more well known players like Pereira, Tielemans and Castagne by having ambition and pull from their owners to bring them in.
I don't doubt our owners ambition and desire but the links so far are boring and uninspiring. I'm hoping we have some exciting things going on behind the scenes (Alvarez was an exciting one but seems to have gone quiet).
I think we have scouted very well recently. Watkins, Traore, Cash, Targett, Konsa, Mings, Martinez, Mcginn, Luiz all better players with arguably a higher value for most if not all of them than what we paid. We have built a whole new team in recent times and done it extremely well in my view.
We have now added Buendia and Ash Young to that so far and I don't doubt a couple more will come through the door. But overall I would be happy if we just continue our own path and scouting the way we have been. The way we seem to be scouting at youth level for example could well pay dividends with a little patience.
Of course we would all like players in early and it gets frustrating at times but to single out our scouting policy and change it I think would be detrimental to our journey. As ultimately thats what it is.
Looking through Leicesters transfers recently they have definitely had a fair few that have bombed aswell. Which is the case in every club in England. Although Leicester probably one of the better ones.

It's not 'ridiculous negativity' to ask why we're being slow to get deals done. We all want the club to succeed, to succeed they will need to strengthen the team further than they have done already. We have a long term injury (Trez), a first team player off at the Olympics who won't be up to speed for several weeks after the season starts, 3 first team players who got to a final who will be struggling to be fit and firing for the first game of the season too. Several squad players have left the club as their contracts have ended.
Clubs don't progress that stand still. You always have to be looking to strengthen and improve, Smith has said this himself. We've improved our first team with Buendia but that's it. Last season when Jack was out our form was very poor which was proof we needed more quality this summer. So far we haven't done enough to address that lack of quality in midfield and the final third.
I think it was the "we are in trouble" comment that comes across as negative. Clearly we still have a good squad with some great talent.

The Birmingham Mail have an article on the redevelopment. Unfortunately it is just a rehash of things I already know.
They do say though that the season ticket waiting list is up to 13,000 now though.
I think we will just have to wait until the club announce something. And when they do so I expect them to actually do it.
Instead of Dr Tony saying Villa Park would be 60,000 one day with no evidence or plans to back his statement up.
Was 5k when I went on yesterday

Brilliant player. My lad is 2 and a half and I am desperate for him to get to see Jack play for Villa.
I think if Jack could get a winners medal at the euros with England it may well scratch an itch for winning something and he can focus on a career at Villa.
