  1. unless there is signs of vast improvement against bolton, i think the time has come to say, you had your chance, it wasn't made particularly easy but it's not going to work out, clear your desk.

i've been very willing to give him the time of day (and quite rightly, imo) but it's not getting any better. i worry about how much more time and money we might waste sticking with him.

  2. Point remains we now have a manager worse than Gary Megson due to our utterly idiotic board.

Sunderland at least have shown some ambition.

I have seen some nonsensical statements in this thread, and even on this page but.......

Sunderland have fired a manager and hired an unemployed one. That might be described as being decisive, but I don't see where the ambition description comes from??

    lol

you keep telling yoursel that then.

Meanwhile in the real world we have to endure the turd football of McShite.

A failed bluenose that we tapped up before he was made unemployed.

it doesn't make your argument any more valid by saying 'McShite' or 'McTacticallyinept' (although the latter would actually be clever). we understand you don't like him. and we've also read about Gary Megson a few times. everyone gets the joke, you don't need to keep retelling it.

  3. Don't know why you're all getting so upset about the possession issue. Swansea are playing exactly the sort of "tippy tappy" football that Houllier was castigated for on here. They can play little triangles in their own half all day long and it'll do them no good.

One mistake and Gabby's pace will get us a goal. I agree it's no fun to watch, but it's not the disaster some of you seem to think.

i agree, but i'd also like to see us play some football. i'm watching so i can watch aston villa, and i'm barely seeing them actually play the game. at what point do you start saying, yes we're winning every match, but we've had 1% of possession and i'm not really watching this team play the game? also, we're not winning at all.

  4. I was okay with McLeish coming in - thought he might be okay - now I'm having real doubts. I don't and never did give a toss that he was ex-bluenose but his negative bias and the crass negativity at Spurs bothers me big time. Swansea aren't Spurs and although a decent outfit, we should be going out to attack them - if he gets this one wrong then that's it - I'm switching to the McLeish Out camp !

    Ah the penny drops, finally!

I really do think that a majority of us on here that didn't want McUseless couldn't care less about his previous employers it was always his anti-football tactics that bothered me. Trouble is we will be stuck with this for at least this season as RL will not/can't afford to get rid of him.

it's not about the penny dropping, and it's not about everyone who has been after his head since the start of the season being right.

some of us have been willing to give him a chance, and i think we have seen a few improvements. morale is much better, and we've seen a few players improving, especially gabby. we've played pretty well in patches. however, it's not about a realisation, more fears becoming reality. the men behind the ball, giving away possession, Emile Heskey. i think there is potential for it to work out while we 'stablise' (remainder of the season), but McLeish needs to stop setting us up like we're **** Birmingham City.

  5. So, back on topic like, where is Randy then?

Flying around the world in his new yet trying to find a buyer probably.

To be honest I'm not sure he is any more absent than he has ever been it is just more noticable these days and more concerning because of the direction we are heading as a club.

He has got a tattoo though so things should be fine.

i wish people would shut up about this, it got boring a year ago.

  6. crazy thought, but does anyone think that the sending off incident may have inadvertently had a positive effect on him? in the Norwich game he seemed to be a little more considered with his tackling and really think about when to go to ground and when to stand the player off - i know he's been criticised in this thread for flying in a little too much and would be prone to cards. there was one tackle over on the right where he forced the man wide and then put in an inch perfect tackle, only to hook the ball around the man and win possession for himself.

  7. watching him play today was amazing seeing how far he has come - summed up for me by him chasing a loose ball, getting there before the defender but with no real support, holding him off, turning back towards the field, getting his head up and playing an inch perfect cross-field ball to hutton on the other side.

  8. Good result, with some good passing play when we go forward.

Hoofing of the defence is still there but hopefully sorted out.

Nervy end which is natural for a defence lacking confidence.

    Hopefully continue to improve.

yep, was pretty impressed today. starting to gel upfront, hopefully we can get the defence tighter.
