  1. I would have felt sorry for him but for his cocky attitude and pathetic comments.

One of them something like "You can understand the small clubs being upset when they lose their best players to big clubs" ( ? ) in regards to Barry going to them.

    So

"You can understand Hughes being upset knowing City have actually gone in and got a manager with some talent, instead of a shit stirring stupid annoying boring tit"

That was in regard to Lescott leaving Everton to join City. Said nothing of the sort when Barry left us. Totally agree with the consensus of the post though, he got all billy-big-balls when he'd acheived nothing in his managerial career. Tosser.

  2. messi and ibra are likely to be out, i'll only believe ronaldo is better if he takes an absolute kicking from barca in his stride without diving or moaning and then winning the game for his team, in other words what messi and ronaldinho have done in the past

messi vs madrid last year was mad, they battered him (something like 8 different RM players had fouled him in the 1st 10 mins) and he just got up and got on with it, it was amazing to watch

I was at that game, the 2-6 barca win. And the Barca fans around me were incensed after 10 minutes! I guess its similar to us playing Blues and the cretinous sloths of SHA battering Gabby, one of our own, all match.

(not that it would happen now that gabby is a man-beast!)

I think this is a different Real team this year however. They have improved their technical ability, and although not as free flowing as barca, do have players who dont need to resort to intimidation and rough tackling.

Heart says Barca 3-0 Madrid, head thinks however 1-1.

  3. Still kept United out...

Burnley are no more mugs, there organised, they like to play football and have a good crowd behind them. I'd really like to see the same team, the two midfielders of Sidwell and Reo-Coker to really get in their faces, Burnley like to play it around but they ain't got Premiership players, get in their faces, force them into areas and then we'll break on them and we have enough going forward if the liks of Young, Carew etc..are playing well to score a few.

So same team, probably Collins back in though for Cuellar or Dunne. If we keep the same team, I reckon 1-3.

If we bring Petrov back, I reckon 1-1.

    Woah, woah, woah.

So your saying by playing our captain, were starting with a 2 goal defecit?

    Mentalist.

Yes. What's wrong with thinking we are stronger without Petrov just because he's captain FFS?

OMFGZ He's captain which means he's great....what happens if Heskey was captain and I said if Carew plays I think we will win 3-1, if Heskey plays 1-1....

I think we're a better team without Petrov.

I'm not alluding to whether we are a better/worse team with Stan in it. For what its worth I think Petrov plays best in a 451 formation where he has more time on the ball.

Just a little alarmed that you think by starting him, we are beginning the match with a 2 goal defecit, against Burnley. No player, even Heskey (who isnt that bad), could affect the outcome of a game in a negative way, like you were reasoning.

Petrov started against Chelski too, how many goal defecit did we start that match with?! And then win.

    Mental.

ps: What in gods green earth does "OMFGZ" mean?

  5. great stuff, well done martin, picked heskey yet again, leaves a midfield of nrc on the right petrov tired, sidwell awol

yep another classic from martin o neal, no doubt people will still come up with some shit defending some of his utter shit decisions.

more points thrown away, well **** done

    This

Yep - MON'S ship has sailed. Its as far as we go with him. He isn't a bad manager - but his reputation is way overstated. Very similar to Graham Taylor. I beleive the weekend rumour that this will be his last season - and he will announce as much in the new year.

    Rumour?! Please embellish.

I, personally, would not be too disappointed with that. Have felt the same since last season's capitulation.

MON seems hamstrung by his indecision, or innovation in trying something new. And its costing us now.

  6. We've been magnificent considering we're away from home.

    Creative, solid, working hard.

Just need to take one of these chances, but to be dominant away from home I'm mightily impressed thus far.

Quite simply, we deserve to lead - 7 corners to 0 and lots of shots / opportunities.

    Magnificent?!?! Easily pleased my friend!

  7. When, oh, when, oh when, is MON going to have spent enough money to play 11 players in their specialist positions?

Its totally ridiculous if he has moved Gabby to the wing to accommodate Carew. Or put Heskey on the left when he plays for England as a Centre Forward.

Milner is an awful, awful crosser of the ball. So use this opportunity to try Albrighton, see if he can do any better.

    Just dont understand MON sometimes.

  8. Vice-chairman Sammy Yu insists Birmingham City will not blow all of their £40million spending spree on one or two "superstars".

It is common knowledge that Birmingham boss Alex McLeish will be handed a substantial sum of money to bring in new additions in the January transfer window to boost his side's chances of Premier League survival following the recent takeover by Hong Kong businessman Carson Yeung.

The rumour mill of who will be arriving at St Andrews in the New Year has already begun, with Celtic's Aiden McGeady and Spurs duo Roman Pavlyuchenko and Alan Hutton linked with the West Midlands outfit.

But Yeung's second in command, Yu, has warned Blues fans not to expect the type of eight-figure fees that have become familiar with Sunday's opponents Manchester City, in a game which can be seen live on Sky Sports 1 and HD 1.

"They have a different way," he told The Independent of the Eastlands outfit.

"Their logic is to do it immediately with the resources they have, get things done the next day. All the best to them, but we are different. We have to make a plan for a long-term programme.

    Superstars

"There's no point buying two or three top players costing £20-£40m who come in as superstars, standing in the middle of the park and doing nothing.

"It could happen. We'll get players of reasonable standard, better than we have, who can adapt to the club. We'll accumulate step by step like that, then we'll have a healthy way of proceeding to the top level.

"History has told us about Leeds, a big club, but how quickly they collapsed. From the top of the world to the bottom of hell."

Yu is also adamant that the new regime will allow McLeish the freedom to dictate goings-on at City, even though he will be more hands on than your typical board member.

"All my life I've been involved in football, from the bottom to the top, coaching the national team," he added.

"I was appointed to work mainly at the training ground with Alex, first to improve or strengthen the team and second to see any possibility of helping develop the training ground for young players and future talent."

This is from SkySports website, short links are a mystery to me im afraid!

And not that anyone of you need it, ive highlighted in bold and / or underlined areas that give us ammunition to laugh our socks off at them.

Odds on Ginge being manager there at the end of the season? Short, i would think.

  9. Nope once again, whether it's TV or on a stream, all you can see is Everton fans screaming, moaning about anything.

I mean did you see Cuellar's sending off, the whole crowd rose to shout abuse and complain, not half of them, not the majority, all of them for a decent tackle too!

All they do is fecking Moan at every single tackle, like Bilyandtov's tackle on Petrov, Everton fans were moaning at the time it weren't a foul! Twattiest fans in the league.

You do realise the cretinous sloths from Small Heath are in the Premier League now, dont you?!

  10. Yeah Wetherspoons (the alcoholics choice!) are open from around 8 for breakfast, and serving booze from 9am on a Saturday.

I worked in Wolves for a few years, and know it quite well. There's not a huge amount of boozers in the City Centre, and those that will be open such as Moon under water, Goose in the City, Royal London are Wolves full stop. Best bet is The Briar Rose, for a Pint and fry up, then jump the train or Metro to Wolves.

Avoid the subway en route to the ground!

will the wetherspoons by the train station in wolve be open for beery goodness tomorrow?
