  1. Jose is a hypcorite. I bet if another manager did the same, he'd be moaning. He's great in many ways, but sportsmanlike? Not a chance.

Hard to find a more unsympathetic manager - I can't stand him.
  2. Again it feels like we are massively dependant on Benteke and Vlaar to be seen as anything other than cannon fodder for the elite.

I expect us to lose to Arsenal and Chelsea but we were utterly brushed aside, we put up no kind of resistance and that hurts a little. All this guff about us not taking our chances is just deflecting the fact we are about as fearsome as a wheeley bin full of marshmallow going fwd.

The trouble is I know Zog hasn't looked brilliant, but now he's been dropped in favour of Cleverly we have no creativity in our midfield and only Gabby pretends to be a striker. Cleverly has looked good, but he needs to replace Richardson or Westwood. I would rather we played Grealish and went for it next week!

But I expect us to play the same team v Man City and get dick whipped for a third week in a row.

All teams surfer If you take out the two best players. Take out Costa and Fabregas and we would have had a much better chance.

  3. Apparebtky Delph missed the half time team talk because he ran straight to the toilet.

Sanchez and Guzan weren't great either, Westwood was sort of ok but then got injured too.

Fears are that it's not just a 24 hour virus and Bodymore is closed until they are sure the virus is gone. So we go to Chelsea with very little training to prepare.

I really hope he had the virus, because if not he is a long way from making the team better.

  4. I thought Sanchez did okay - not great, but I don't think he was bad, he needs to get rid of that extra touch they gave him in Spain - Cleverly made bad decisions on a number of occasions and I think he has much to work on too.

I think we've learned that Grealish isn't ready to start games yet, he's got a lot to work on in terms of the defensive side of his game and he very nearly cost us a fourth goal with a really sloppy bit of positional play midway through the second half. He looks good on the ball and he's going to be a heck of a player, but I think we're using him the right way at the minute.

We'd persuaded ourselves about our invincible defence, and in fairness, with half an hour gone, I think we were starting to convince Arsenal too - they looked to be starting to question themselves - but the minute the first one went in, a bubble went pop, we panicked and they gained a massive boost of confidence - a combination of good play/poor play and circumstance which might actually do us good in the long term.

No complaints from me, they were the better side on the day, and they are a better side in general, but I think we've got something to work with here when everyone is well and fit.

Sorry but I thought that Sanchez was abysmal. The commentators said they had never seen so bad a CM and I would have agree. They even speculated that he was only kept on after that first half to give him a chance to make a slightly better impression and to not rock his confidence too much, but it did not help at all - I really hope he was sick too, because that was bad and it highlighted just how good Westi is.

  5. Good teams are build on defense. Our problem they other years have been to leak goals. We had a hard time holding on too leads.

As mentioned before this year we have had early leads to protect, that makes a difference. Also we know we are not going to win the league, so in a lot of games 1 point is a good result until we get to 40. Better not to get beat, than win in our situation. Not pretty but keeps the club moving forward.

I too have seen all our games and we only lacked a cutting edge in the Newcastle game. In the other games we have had really strong spells. Against Hull we should have been 3/4-0 in the first half. Against pool 2-0 would not have been unjust in the first 15. In all we are looking good so far, long may it continue.

  6. Voted Hutton for MOTM cause he just deserve it. Its not a minus that he kicked Sterling either. Here is a thought, maybe Baker has been a good defender all the time but he has just been exposed because our midfield has been shit for a few seasons.

I don't think it is the midfield that makes the difference for Baker, it is the two powerhouses we have as fullbacks and not the little wimps that used to be there. Now Baker only has to deal with things in the middle and he is looking so much better for it.

  7. He deserves a new deal for the hard work in completely crazy circumstances. He has had to work with an extremely low budget and had to build a whole new team in the process. I would really hate to see him go, please sign him up.

  8. Heard an interview with hi Danish coach. He said they had tried to ease him into the team, but that he has blown all limits and part goals. He also said that it is part of his contract that the club can't put a limit to his training. Apparently he has trained so hard for many years that he can handle a ridiculous amount of training. Crazy really :-)
