My last post now on the Manager bit we have shared PM's me and Father Abrahams and both now understand why we both are saying what we have said about McCarthy . I maintain there is no interest whatsoever in him at all from Villa's :!: .

McCleish totally hold my hands up on that I was told by JF who normally is pretty spot on with the info there was no chance he was coming . I assumed he had spoken with the normal mutual contact he hadn't so the trouble with assuming is it makes an ass out of you .

In Feb of this year I was told at the Fulham game there was no way they were getting rid of AM then around the Chelsea game that started to change any by Bolton he was a gonner .

There are some pretty good ITK people on here who were spot on with the DB story not just me there are some on here who I think have some good info on the Manager chase but don't want to put it on here because of the abuse you get .

I don't know who we are in for and just think this time they will listen and go for the obvious candiates , not sure if we can get them though .

When I was berated earlier in the season with you have ' nothing to back it up ' about the wrong uns they had to simply go with it both privately and publicly to get us over the line . In hindsight that was a mistake they knew the culprits last summer but decided to give them another chance under AM which was wrong and almost a complete disaster .

Logic tells me go for Number 1 target this week he says yes then we get him in before he goes on holiday or they turn next week to the other options ( Yes they have other options ) . So logically max 3 weeks !

They wouldn't go near MM. They have been open with their profile and it doesn't fit. I think id will be one of Lambert, Martinez, Rodgers or Poyet.

It's dawned on me all season the players couldn't give a flying **** about the club

Week in week out half arsed performances knowing the manager will take the flak not them

Collymore most exciting signing for me pre Bent really thought he would click with Yorke but probably the biggest disaster marquee signing ever for Villa . I know he ended up a fruit cake but really only a handful of decent games never in the same class as Dalian Atkinson ( Who yes didn't like the cold weather )

Then the portrayal as a Villa fan laffable in the extreme how many games did he go to when he was this big Villa supporter in the 80's ? Couldn't see him on a cold night at Cambridge or Brighton it's just baloney !

For what it's worth met him twice likeable guy very honest and one of those first in last out Managers was like a breath of fresh air compared to MON to deal with so I am told . But was the wrong manager for this club for everything that has been said a million times. I actually like the bloke as a person but personally can't see anything other than him leaving its a majority not a minority against him .

Will Lerner though be stubborn ? It was odd appointing him in the first place

I can tell you there is no intention to get rid of him despite the apathy around the club falling attendances and dire football ! Lerner likes him thinks he has a great work ethic and above all trusts him ! Its not what you want to hear but thats the facts . If we are struggling next season then yes I think he will think again .

He came in to do a job with the finances around us and staying up will probably be seen us as stabilising things . But for me you can't hide behind the football the results and what has happened simply not good enough .
