    Two loans only is really piss poor. Lambert has wanted a number 10 attacking midfielder all summer and this month he hasnt been backed to bring one in.

     

    Shame on Lerner. I really, really hope he **** off in the summer.

     

    It's weird because I clearly remember Cleveland Brown fans warning us that "he will splash the cash in the beginning when it's still a fun project to him, but just wait until he loses interest and stops all investement, then you'll be in a financial deadzone".

     

    (with our response being: Nah, that won't happen to us. You see, he INHERITED the browns, he BOUGHT us. We are special to him.)

    Right lets play a game.

    I am Randy Lerner. I have invested £200m+ into Aston Villa. I've paid off 3 managers in 3 seasons, and now (I think) have the manager that suits my agenda. After a horrorshow last season my club is now comfortably sat 10th in the league.

    Explain to me why I should invest more money into Aston Villa today.

    Well firstly I don't think your past **** ups are relevant reasons as to not to spend now. Also as 'the plan' is to spend what we can afford, we could build on our 10th place, finish higher up in the league and secure more TV revenue. With a world cup coming up in the summer we could find an increase in fees and wage demands of some of our targets and finally it gives players a chance to bed in and allows the team to have a better chance of starting stronger next season.

     

     

     

    Ok, let's say you have 10 apples, you give Aston Villa 2 apples. Aston Villa gives those 2 apples to a bunch of average footballers whose wage demands mean you lose a further apple every year unless you sort it out. You then do manage to find someone to sort it out for you, but it takes 2 years. 

     

    How many apples have you got left?

     

     

    You have certain people (businesses) that turn two apples into three or four. Then you have others that turns them sour and let them go to waste. Who would you spend more apples on?

    I think there might be something in the Toornstra link, maybe hope more than anything but we need confirmation on he Bham Mail source.

     

    There is nothing in the Birmingham Mail paper or website about him. Don't know how they have made it their source.

     

     

    Here's one...

     

    1. Reporter want to make up rumour to get his daily article clicks

    2. Writes article with "local paper in england" as source.

    3. Knows that no one in holland will investigate further

    4. Foreigners scratch their heads as mentioned source hasn't written a thing.

    This is not a rumour or anything. But has anyone seen Ryan Gauld play? Young Dundee Utd midfielder. Linked with quite a few big clubs.

    Yup, they'll come in handy. Just google "c crew" in images and witness for yourself. Top boy is holding the spaceship btw.
