Looks like Milner could be out for the first game after missing training

PieFacE, I suppose it boils down to whether we value a player at what he is ACTUALLY worth or what a team would pay for him.

If we were in debt and needed to sell some players straight away then we'd probably get a price closer to their real value.

Milner - £17m?

Gabby - £13m?

Young - £15m?

They're my guesses. But we'd be stupid to sell them for that amount in our current situation.

Totally agree, and you're probably right with those figures!

I'd like to think if we were to sell Gabby for £22m, then we could replace him with much better for the same cost. Although, i don't know anyone who to replace him with, so my argument is pretty stupid really

Yeah i was playing it last night for example.

I was Villa, playing someone who was Man UTD. I had to really work hard to score a few goals, Rooney then gets the ball, this kid just pressed shoot from anywhere (probably didn't even aim towards the goal) and it just went straight into the top corner, and not only did it happen once, it happened twice!

I'm at skill level 26, and it just seems to be more people playing as the Elite clubs.

Yeah i've always just been one of these people who has never really rated Gabby that highly. Although he does keep improving every year, so if that continues, i'll be more then happy to say i'm wrong. Dont get me wrong i do like Gabby, but when people are saying Milner aint worth 30m, then i don't really think Gabby is worth 22m.

If someone was to offer us 22m cash for Gabby I'd take it!

Watched the pilot of Warehouse 13 last night... feels like a poor mans Fringe really.

Will watch a few more and see how it turns out, don't think it will be a sticker though.

Does anyone else get seriously pissed off with this game when every person you come to play is just Barcelona or Real Madrid. Using their super players and AI to win games. God it's infuriating. I lose so many games due to that, cos i refuse to play as 5* teams (where's the skill in that?) and it's just annoying. They should put in a filter system where you're put up against players who are 3* or 4*. Then all the Barcelona and Inter players can go in their little 5* group.

ie, instead of getting a game then choosing your team, you should choose your team, then it puts you against someone with a similar rated team as you.

You can tell who doesn't like a party can't you! England winning the World Cup would be one of the best experiences of my life, specially at the age of 22, prime time for celebrations!

The film has probably been mentioned in here somewhere, but I watched Shutter Island over the weekend, and wow! Fantastic film!

Certainly recommend it to anyone!

Did the people who say Milner is overrated actually watch any football this year?

I wonder this myself, how people can't see how brilliant Milner is is beyond me. I'd like to see a stat on the people who think he's over rated, and who out of those actually have a season ticket and watch him. Then again loads of people love NRC and hate Petrov which again is totally beyond me. Milner is a must keep, potential future England captain. We MUST try and keep hold of him, best player we have by a country mile.

The jubilation i would get from England winning the world cup would far outweigh us finishing 4th. I would be on the p!ss for days, i would be able to stick 2 fingers up at all the foreigners that i know that always slag off the England team and i could do this for 4 years! I have loads of English friends that support other teams and we could all celebrate this together.

Villa finishing 4th would be superb, but would i go on the p!ss for days, i doubt it. If we won the League then yes. It could also be very short lived as we could go out in the Qualifying games and not even get to the group stages.

Villa finishing fourth is no where near the same as England winning the world cup. Villa winning the Premier League or Champions League is a different matter, but just to actually finish 4th doesn't compete with winning the world cup. We're not that far away as it is!

Milner is a massive player. He will be for club and country. We'd be silly to not try and keep hold of him. If he wants to go it's a different matter, but there's no reason why we shouldn't offer him a pay rise and a 2year extension on his current contract, and build the squad around him.

Yakubu would be a horrific signing! Totally disinterested, it's would be like another Carew permanently on a bad day.

From what I saw of West Wing it was good, but I was too young to have fully understood it all at the time.

Watching the first ep of Fringe now, scary black man from Lost is in it which makes it awesome.

Best not to opt for a sammich whilst watching it though.

I was always hoping that scary black man who's in Fringe and Lost would be the same character in both series, and that the two series would combine.

With the Fringe team investigating the island (and then probably get stuck there )... surely the island is classed as Fringe science, would have been brilliant if they had of connected the two in some way!

Could have also been a better ending to lost, as Fringe is full of Alternate universes... could have explained the flashforwards/flashbacks a little better... instead of everyone being dead!
