  1. Belatedly saw John Wick 4 the other day. Mostly good fun but far too long for, lop a good half hour or more of that and it would have been excellent, but found it dragged a bit, either a fight scene that was just that bit too long or the ceremonial stuff in between often felt a bit indulgent. But the set pieces were as terrifically choreographed as the previous films though

Everton have won the appeal against the red card for DCL so he will be able to face us :(

right decision but an embarrassment for VAR considering it was the tv officials with all the extra time who made the ref send him off :crylaugh:

  3. Positives of the draw is that it's a good game for a couple of the back ups who end up playing, we know we'd have to be switched on to play well, might be good for performance momentum? But if we do lose, no-one's going to say oh what a disaster. We've got a full 2 weeks off after the everton game,  so at worst the cup match gives us some competitive minutes before the Newcastle game.

I hasten to add, i would have preferred Maidstone at home, but just focusing on the postive ways of approaching the tie

  4. I won't be surprised if we don't buy anyone. Tough market and Emery likes working with a contained squad. If we shift a couple of players we'll need to have replacement bodies though. Will wait and see.

We do have Ramsey becoming a midfield option again at least and Moreno has his fitness back. Plus we might get Buendia back for the last 2 months. Maybe Tim O can be a bench player. Or that Kellyman fella

I'm not saying doing nothing is great, just that I won't be too surprised if that's the case. If we can level up donk and bertie then great.

Pau, Digne, Tielemans, and Olsen are all out apparently.

Missing Pau and Tielemans still is concerning, less so for this game but more generally.

Only one league game until the end of the month and that's the Everton one, so that minimises the loss

  6. Not at home! Current line manager was nice about it, OK with me having a quick chat with the new people tbf. It's very quiet in current work.

If I was at home honestly the wife is just as apologetic if not more so when she's dropped the kids off. I get clear instructions not to go up/downstairs as appropriate :crylaugh:

Wasn't there a film with Robin Williams called Jack? Body of an 80 year old by the time he was twenty according to that ludicrous film.

Should wish him well now I suppose, he'll be physically retired by next christmas

Hold on… you visited your future employer and whilst there took a shit and got told to f*** off by the cleaner who was waiting for you to finish? Thats hilarious

Ah, no, shit was taken in my current employers. It was a teams chat. I mean I've only got a couple of weeks left so could leave it, but honestly was wildly aggressive from the cleaner :D Perhaps just annoyed that I'd timed my trip just before he had to clean it, that's about all I can think of tbf. Edit - to clarify I didn't purposely aim to do that, just bad luck on his part

  9. Had a chat with future employers to get a bit more of an idea of my role as well as general logistical details. Had assumed it would be most or entirely on site. Turns out expectation is only a couple of times a week \o/ and flexitime is also happening.

On the other hand the cleaner just yelled **** off at me and slammed the door when I'd exited it. I mean, it was a no.2, but still, was rather harsh. Genuinely rattled me. Should probably mention it to someone though. I'd heard him passive aggressively banging out a tune with his hands whilst waiting for me to finish too.  This didn't cheer me up, but I can't be arsed posting in a new thread :D

  10. boro also have a league cup semi final the week after this game. Between trying to get themselves up into the play off spots after a horror start and enjoying a semi, (kenneth)  whilst having some players off, I would be amazed if we didn't win this one comfortably. Setting myself up for disappointment, but this is one game I'm going to predict a fairly ordinary bu comfortable 2-0 win for us using plenty of back ups

  11. We need new players. They are tired and the back ups are total wank

Anything less than a win would be deeply anger inducing. Threatening to go into collapse mode. Not beating the shittest team in the league and the nature of that **** collapse against that **** team again. Anything but a win is unacceptable if we are not to pass away our great start. Can see the wheels fall off if we lose here
