Randy Lerner has finally shown that we are indeed a selling club. He could have kept Downing for 1 more season and still got £17million. No amount of bullshit from the General can hide the fact the ambition is gone and we are a club happy with midtable.

I wont judge Randy on whether he makes McLeish manager i will judge him on how he backs the manager THIS transfer window. That statment mentions making AVFC sustainable and i think its basically saying we have to cut costs and sell to buy. If Young and Downing leave and we bring in crap replacments the future will be very bleak until a new owner is in charge.

I wish AVFC would make a statement stating the truth instead of the sky 'sources' saying one thing them hours later saying the total opposite.
