What did Young do at the end of the game?
"Trying to get himself sent off" I've read once I think.
-
I only just managed to get back from bowling out South Africa and digging some orphans out of a collapsed house in NZ as well. Squeezed it in before winning the GB Gold in the 3000m marathon women's indoor event. I can do it all!
I can and will! My goal was a header though, I laid it off to my mate for the finish.don't ramble on for 5 minutes about how you played an exquisite one-two with your mate then buried a beauty of a shot in the bottom corner with the outside of your foot.I like it though, I think I might go for that.
What sort of research could VT conduct though? I want these people to employ me, not call the authorities.
-
Also, is that attractive to an employer if the person interviewing you is not a sports fan?
-
Thought about doing my football team. I've bloody dragged them to some great wins the hungover bastards. Do you think it is formal enough? What about if we didn't succeed or win anything? Drew last game of season to hand title to rivals

Here's one for the VT hyenas to get into. I'm doing a job app. Question...
Tell us about something you are involved with which shows your passion and commitment to succeed. This can be outside your normal studies or work. (no more than 300 words)
Hmmm, bit of a tricky one.

Fantastically sad Such a Newcastle thing that is.
-
Stay. I've got faith that he'll sign some good players in the summer. I just hope he knows what areas need strengthening.
-
Won't mark players down for the result. I'm marking on performance, and some were really not good enough.
Fried 7
Walker 7 - His price is going up and up. Will be England's RB very very soon. We won't be signing him.
Clark 7
Young 6
Baker 5 - Not looking after Cahill well enough
The concorde 7 - Scored, made at least 3 incredible chances, wanted it. Lost the ball a few times but it was through being positive not shirking his responsibilities
NRC 7
Delph 6
Young 6 - Hope he goes to be honest. Won a lot of fouls today but demands most set pieces (including pens) and is awful. If he's not on the wing, he's not on the pitch.
Downing 5 - Coward.
Bent 5 - Can't miss that many chances when you're a bad a player as you are Daz. Offers nothing but goals, needs to score more.

Our best player is a 20 year old Spurs player who won't be here next season.

Agree with Brummybloke.
The point of switching wingers is to give defenders something new to deal with if they are dominating their man. You don't **** switch when you're raping your full back.
This was a massive problem when Downing first joined and you'd suddenly see Young appear on the RW, where he's even worse than he is in the middle.
Oh, and if it hasn't already been noticed Downing is a massive coward.

Cahill is horrifically overrated. Got a great price for him. Believes his own hype which will be his downfall when he does leave Bolton.

We need to find that balance between playing the nice stuff we occasionally do under Houllier, and making sure we stand up for ourselves and battle like we did a lot of the time under O'Neill. If we can find that balance, we're on the cusp of being a serious threat to the top teams.I just hope we perform better then we did the last time we played them at their ground! I can't see us rolling over like last time, just wanna see some fight and passion! If Fulham can draw with them there I don't see why we can't do the same, especially as we are coming off a good win too. -
Bang on!I wouldn't rest anybody, City don't seem at their best, nothing is expected of us and we've nothing to lose. This game is our season.
Let's give it a go. Chelsea already out, Arsenal farting it up in finals, who knows what could happen!
-
It's definitely closer to an hour than 30 mins. Last time I did the walk it was peeing down which may have said it seem more, but def over half an hour. You're looking an hour walk from there, bloomin miles.it's a half hour walk, tops.
-----------
it was good in there before the last away game of the season. really good infact. but was crap before the december game with very few villa in there, but equally pretty much no citeh either. if you've got maps on your phone then that might be quite handy, otherwise just head east past the printworks and find the a665. there'll be signs for 'manchester sports arena' or similar and it won't be long before the stadium itself comes into view. alternatively, get a taxi for six quid.
Taddy lager from there is marvelous!

Goodness! Now I'm all for team bonding...Makoun must be rubbing off on him -
Watch him control it when it's fed up to him, it bounces off him more than Gabby! If you offer nothing but goals, you have to score a lot. He's shown he can in the past, just needs to continue his good start for us.
He was poor yesterday, inexcusable for him to fluff that one at the end of the first half. What the hell was he doing turning back into a defender?
-

Great, cheap pub though. If it's not raining, we will make a hell of a racket there.

For him he has. He's meant to score, that's why he is excused when he can't control it. He's had a few sniffs, a good shot, and a sitter. He needs to be scoring.Bent should have score there...he as been poor so far1st chance he wasn't close enough to the ball
2nd great recovery by Robinson
3rd the defender gets a leg across and just about squeezes the ball to "safety".
He hasn't been poor.
Blackburn will have a bit of pressure in the game at some point, it'd be a lot nicer if we were sitting one up.
-
Abysmal by Bent. If you do nothing but score, you have to do better than that when you get passed the ball 16 yards out with no one around you.
-
He's **** bananasHate him or Love him, there one thing you cant deny about Houllier. Hes got some balls with team selections.Im not so sure there screwed on properly, but hes definately got some
Always exciting anyway, I watch football to be entertained; if the team on the pitch isn't doing it, mix it up!
-
It'll be clear from the first time he gets the ball in an advanced position how today is going to go for Mr. Pires. Has he improved, or does he still play like a man who should be no where near a premier league first team?
-
Clark at CB is not a bonus in a game like this. He's not shown me anything to suggest he can handle big men up front/set pieces. Let's see what you've got today sonny Jim!
-
Exactly what I think. He needs to toughen up.Clark probably will turn out to be a good centre back yes. He is very good on the ball as people are making out but being a CH is all about putting your body on the line, winning headers and last ditch tackles. Whilst Clark may be cool in possession and more of a footballer than our other centre halves, I still think he needs to learn the defensive side of the game more.Hopefully this will come though and with a lot of work in the Gym over the summer this lad could become a class act. Thought he was very good at Blackpool and looked so calm with possesion.
Still much too weak for me, and if you can't be dominant in the air, you'll never make a decent centre half in the Prem.

A nice thing about us under MON was that every so often you'd get games like this where you can see nothing but a loss, and we'd go and win the bastard. Arsenal away after we'd lost at home to Boro (?) sticks in the head.
We don't tend to do that anymore.

There's my team, no more Young sticking it into the stand please. Can't risk a typical cowardly Stew performance, there will be challenges to be made, and he won't be making them.
