    How olds Parker now 28?. Barton and NRC look much better bets. Bellamy also would be an excellent signing in purely footballing terms. Giving us our best strike force for years.

I personally think they ahve told us aload of guff You're talking out of you're backside. :winkold: Players like Van Der Vaart are VERY OBVIOUSLY out of our league without CL football, rationality is what's needed. And as far as being told aload of guff where in gods name did you get that from?. Pull yourself together we dont want another humiliating thread like the one from January 3rd.

    MON by reputation knows we're in a minor crisis but the big picture will always take precedence with him as throughout his career, a couple of wins etc. Short term pain long term gain.

    You havent a clue who he's after just rumours. No one imagined he'd sign Bardsley. Or go for Young. He needs instant fixes. He cant afford to bring in players who'l need time to settle with such a small squad. I agree.

    Aslong as MON is confident that Villa wont get dragged into a relegation dogfight then i think he'l be patient, not get ripped off and not to concerned at not getting the players in. The seasons over in real terms unless something special happens to get in Europe. Probably the only major reason to get quality signings at the moment is pr reasons. And that wont even concern MON.

    As people have said be patient. Villa wont overpay for a player just so he's here for the Man Utd game. MON will get the bare essentials needed that's for sure. I think he'd only think about overpaying if it was a pivotal player.

    Talksport have suggested that Villa have offered 7.9m for Young and that it has been rejected!!! Illustrates perfectly how tough it is getting quality players in January.
