I would it would be a steal - If MON wants him and we've got the cash I can't see a problem. Persoanlly I can't see Spurs letting him go for anything less than £15 million.

We haven't got a strong, powerful defender - a stopper - other than Laursen and we desperately need one, Davies fits the bill.

TBF there have been all kinds of sums mentioned in the papers, haven't there? And ASFAIC those £50m should be for the summer too, hence only using 11 from then pretty fair.

Reo-Coker is a over-rated. Thats all there is to it. He did well for much of last season (as did most of their players) and this year is playing shite.

I would argue that after being fecked over by his club he's a little unmotivated this year. A bit like our squad and management last year. Its amazing what a little motivation can do for a players attitude.

Reo-Coker is EXACTLY the kind of player MON would target I reckon, young, English, huge potential and pissed off with his current club.

I would speculate that we havn't.

I would also argue that his potential is not huge and that he's not going to get that much better than he already is.

I happen to think this is a done deal - there was talk of Defoe being in and around Villa Park just before the summer transfer window closed.

Would be a brilliant signing for me.

Such a competition could only be named after one person in my opinion and that would be Terry Weir, former official photographer of the club whose photography can be seen in the fantastic book that was published posthumously a couple of years ago. Terry was a great photographer, a Villa fan (and loyal servant of the club) plus a great character, he always had time for the fans.
