After god knows how many unsuccessful attempts I had to sell my soul to the devil and get Lower Grounds tickets. I’ll just have to drink 10 pints beforehand to get my money’s worth.

Great way to sell the Lower Grounds packages.  Just break the website so no-one can buy normal tickets!

Surely they're not gonna release prices before we find out where we finish - Whether we like it or not as fans, finishing in Champs League probably warrants a much bigger hike on price, whether we get any extra benefits or not? I'd be amazed if we hear anything before the final position is confirmed.

I don’t see why CL qualification makes a difference to PL pricing.  Surely that would just increase the price of CL tickets.

Reckon half the ground will be joining you, should make for great atmosphere, reckon the fans will push us through this to get a decent result. UTV.

Great idea on the coach really set the atmosphere up on Sunday, players looked well happy, like a cup final 👍

Though I guess we can’t do it too often or it loses its motivational aspect, both for players and fans.

I think (might well be wrong) this would take us to over 4,000 hospitality seats on matchdays - which in terms of income probably means that Hospitality won't be far off bringing in the same amount of money as season ticket sales.

How many do we currently have?

If we get to 4,000 hospitality, then £1m from corporate and £1m from GA tickets per match? £32m matchday revenue plus food/drink of around £5m.

I've managed to get back in the queue

No idea what will happen at the end of the queue

    Another queue lol.

I actually managed to choose some tickets, but it won't let me allocate Fan ID's (the drop down box is missing) so no way to continue to next page to buy them lol.

  6. Well, tried to buy tickets at 5pm when it opened for members. Eventually got on the website, then spinning ball for 5 mins, then a message:

”Our website is closed for maintenance. We will be back as soon as possible”.

A bag of haribos, was always around the £1 mark for years. Then it went to £1.25 and quickly £1.35.

Just called into the shop and picked up a bag (for the children, honest)… £1.55

First the petrol and now haribos. Where wil it end???

    Freddos and Big Macs.

These premium seats will come from converted GA seats. They can't magically create 1500 new seats.

I'm not sure. Didn't Heck previously say they are increasing the total capacity of the ground as well by 1000-2000 seats.   So it seems logical that the extra capacity is the premium seats.

No idea how though!  One for the redevelopment thread.

  10. So 1,500 extra PREMIUM seats being added this summer.

This bit of that article above is interesting...

1 - Prices similar. No increase is standard seat pricing for next season?

2 - better experience for general admission.  Not sure what they will do to assist with this.

    Was Diaby not nearer 50?

    4 hours ago, Aston_Villan4 said:

About 51. Can’t remember if that included add-ons though

    Yeah, i think it was 40million Euros plus 9m Euros add-ons = £52m euros.

    Which is roughly £35m plus £7m = £42m total.

The Athletic reported on Friday that Villa agreed a deal to sign Diaby in a deal worth around €40m (£34.6m) plus add-ons.

the third and probably best reason is that I don’t care who we sign any more. I no longer know better than the manager, and I have total faith that Emery and Monchi will find us the players to make us even better.

Feels weird but it’s kind of relaxing to know it’s all in hand.

    Agreed.

    Moreno - £13m - great

    Pau - £27m - great

Diaby - £40m - jury’s out but shown potential to be great

Rogers - £8m+ - early days but great so far.

Donnarumma just made an unbelievable save for PSG. Corner, header down at the back post, looked like the ball had passed him, then he dived and scooped it out from his right. Almost Banks like.

    Better than Emi? 😱

The next problem is that the PL have no combined or mutual pot of money, they're all greedy, so if there was 1 PL game played in new York for example, the only 2 teams that would benefit from it are the 2 teams that play there, so why would the other 18 teams agree to let it happen,

That’s not correct is it? The PL do split TV money based on an equal share pot and a prize pot and a ‘shown on TV’ pot. So even if two clubs played in the USA, it would either go into the equal share pot the ‘shown on TV’ pot.

The 2 teams to play in NY would only benefit by more commercial exposure in the USA.

I thought he was "President of Business Operations"?
This is the Chief Operating Officer in my view; not CEO. His job is the boring rubbish in the background. At least that's my take. He should be relatively invisible.

I 100% agree that there's stuff he should have done better. But it seems like his initial remit was to identify underperforming aspects and improve them quickly, probably with an eye on PSR for next season. The nice may simply have to take a back seat.

I’m thinking he is more CCO - Chief Commercial Officer.

But then who is the CEO and COO of Aston Villa?

He surely isn’t combining all three roles?

Then again he may have been talking about the Castore deal and the shoddy quality of the kits. They fell onto our hands somewhat **** that up as I assume it's allowed us to exit the deal early with no cost.

It was in the online media at the time that we had to pay around £2 million to Castore to get out of the deal.  That was apparently what triggered the c***suckers rant from Heck.
