  1. Yes, they're winnable games, one of the reasons I think we'll get 3 draws in that period, and you could have said the same thing last season when we went on our little burst.

Yes, but i do think teams have figured us out now, besides a handful of players are not performing at the same level as last year, so your prediction is highly unrealistic.

  2.

    Cardiff (A) - Win

    Newcastle (A) - Lose

    Norwich (H) - Win

    Man City (A) - Lose

    Chelsea (H) - Lose

    Stoke (H) - Draw

    Man U (A) - Lose

    Fulham (H) - Draw

    Palace (A) - Win

    Southampton (H) - Draw

    Swansea (A) - Draw

    Hull (H) - Win

    Spurs (A) - Lose

So I reckon that's 43 points, I think we'll be safe, and there are definitely 3 worse teams than us in this division imo.

You really think we'll go unbeat in 5 games. Can't see that happening tbh. Everytime we play a good match, we seem to go on a bad run afterwards

  3.

We had two insanely lucky wins against Man City and Saints, without them we would be in the bottom 3 and to be honest based on our performances if we were there Id say we could have no complaints.

We are lucky we aren't there now but it looks like its only a matter of time. Without them wins would Lambert be sacked? You would hope so.

Wins are wins. Wish people would stop trying to take those away from us just to fit an agenda.

He is just saying that we are lucky not to be in the relegation zone. Thats very true and it's frightening really. Lambert told Benteke that this season would be nothing like last season. Well, it will. Might be even worse too.

  4. It is becoming clear we need to battle against the teams below us, to make sure we do not get relegated.

There is a good possibility we could get sucked down into it.

I'm not suggesting we will go down, but there is a great amount of bunching up happening below us.

So, where should we get 13 points, to get us to the magical 40?

    Cardiff (A)

    Newcastle (A)

    Norwich (H)

    Man City (A)

    Chelsea (H)

    Stoke (H)

    Man U (A)

    Fulham (H)

    Palace (A)

    Southampton (H)

    Swansea (A)

    Hull (H)

    Spurs (A)

13 games, 13 points needed. Find them!

Red = the important games, the sort we usually lose!

    Cardiff - loss 0 pts

    Newcastle - Draw 1 pt

    Norwich - Draw 1 pt

Man City - loss 0 pts

    Stoke - win 3 pts

Man Utd - loss 0 pts

    Fulham - win 3 pts

    Palace - draw 1 pt

    Soton - loss 0 pts

    Swansea - loss 0 pts

    Hull - draw 1 pt

    Spurs - loss 0 pts

Which leaves us with 37 Pts.

  5. This home form is appalling. Completely unacceptable. If we stop picking up points away, which is quite likely now we're coming into the important part of the season, then we are in serious trouble.

We have been flirting with the relegation ghost so many times now. This might be the year that send us down, i think our next game, Cardiff (a) will be a season key game.

  6. I thought he was supposed to be  a vibrant, exciting manager at Norwich. A another bucket load of bilge today. Again. Cardiff is a must not lose game now.  Needed another defender and midfielder in January, could be a big mistake.

Well. He has done well with promoting Norwich. But he only had one season in the top division when we hired him. He hasen't really proved that he have the potential to be a manager in the top level.

  7. If we lose to Cardiff, that will be extremely damaging, not only based on the table, but also based on confidence. If we get 2 loses away from home in a row, that will also ruin our away form confidence.

The warning signs has been there all season, based on our performances and general play.

Lambert have basically 2 tactics, which is:

    1. Set us up in a 5-3-2 formation, in the mindset "afraid of losing" sit deep, defend the whole game and hope for a counter attacking goal.

    2. Set us up in a 4-3-3 formation. There is basically no plan with this either, but it's more offensive set up. But with no wingers and with the midfield and strikers not working along, we rarely creates chances from open play. Whenever the midfielders get the ball they either have to pass it back to our defenders or just hoof it up front, because all our strikers places them self up top in the middle and "hides" there's no movement or flow with our strikers and midtfield. So again, the only way we can win playing this tactic is the counter attack which really sum us up, we are counter attack.

  8.

villalad, what do you think of our current squad?

Benteke is overrated because of Hazard. Overall they're League 2 quality, they'll finish 10th in the Premier League at best.

Why did you steal, exactly what i were about to say?

But seriously, well. isn't it quite obvious, i don't think i can say anything other than what we already know.

We are currently 3 good players away from having an top 8 lineup, 2 central midtfielders and a right back, also a left back if we dont sign Bertrand permanent.

But that in itself isn't enough for being a top 8 side, we need more depth in our squad, so yes we are FAR away from having a top 8 squad, period.

  9.

Because of Alex Ferguson, scottish managers have been strongly overhyped. Paul Lambert is no exeption. Most Scottish managers are shit to be fair. Lambert haven't shown anything other than that he is a lower league manager, and can achieve mid table at best.

This is the kind of obviously self contradicting post that I would make as a joke.

    Are you serious?

Yes I'm serious. Just stating that with Lambert we're not gonna do better than mid table at best. Look at his tactical abilities, its laughable. Thats what makes the difference between good managers and average managers. So if we're having ambitions for being a top 8 side in the future. We aren't going to be anywhere near it with Lambert in charge.
