it shows his ambition for the club, and also shows lerners ambition for the club, which were not shared by o'neill, which is why he left

If Houllier turns the job down 2mor, Steve Staunton is next in line apparantly
-
houllier's transfer history with lierpool was disgraceful. hope he turns down the job
-
Dunne & Cuellar - with Collins in front.
definitely worth a try

i always say one of the best way to judge a new player, is to find out the player's previos club's fan's opinion of him.....
and as perennial relegation candidates west ham called him nigel mediocre ....... it says a lot

i think a lot of villa fan like the idea of playing a defensive tackling midfielder, which can be great for a team
...but for villa this points to reo-coker, so a lot of fans want to see him play
but in comparison to other defensive midfielders in the premiership he is quite inept, simply put
-
reo-coker has won 2 tackles so far this season according to opta,
stephen ireland our attacking midfielder in ~40 minutes less of play has won 4 tackles
tiny albrighton has won 8 tackles
reo-coker is a poor defensive midfielder , i don't know how anybody cannot see this
-
I am a fan, purely down to his workload and passion..
He lifts the younger players quite often.
i dont think his workload is that great, i'd like to see opta stats and see how much ground he covered in comparison to the other 3 midfielders against everton
-
squad player at very best, cant' pass and can't control the ball, no vision as seen when he got clear against everton and the defender fell over in the box and he kicked the ball straight at him
very average defensive midfielder
also has a bit of an attitude,
all in all not worth more than 4-5 games per season in a villa team if we want to progress
-
no chance, would be worth a bet against this happening if it's 11/4 on for it to ahppen
-
Two options for the board:
1) ...this option is a bit late now...... invest in the club and make sure we dont have to play b-league players like reo-coker, heskey, beye, davies & sidwell in our team
2) sell the club to someone who will
simple as that
my question is which option are the board going to take?
....and please don't drag our great club through the mud whilst pondering over a decision for a year or two
...good businessmen don't hesitate to make a correct decision fast
and fans do not appreciate snide comments about our best manager for years, in an effort to make others look good
-
well done spurs. you deserved it, especially after the wins v arsenal & chelsea. plus you completely outplayed villa both times this season.
i do hope you get knocked out in the qualifiers though
-
hope he misses the world cup now. hard luck city on 4th spot

Warnock was rubbish. An absolute disaster of a tackle. Cost us the game 2day. And i'm sick of people saying "well he offers us a lot going forward". How may assists has he for us, how many goals has he? And people criticise Cueller at right back, which i think is crazy. Cueller offers as much going 4ward as Warnock, and is more solid even as a right back in defence than Warnock is at left back

the great thing is is that......
this is the best the birmingham team will ever get
next year relegation candidates
year after...bye bye once more

one thing i have to say is credit to Petrov today, he was our best player imo. He's been good for 2 seasons now...........but i dont think we can rely on him for next season as a starting midfielder. I would like to see him an impact sub to calm things down in midfield when needed. This summer its obvious we need a goalscorer, but also someone to command midfield with Milner(if Milner stays with us that is). If we could ship out Heskey, Sidwell, Carew and Reo-Coker for 15-20 million, and get 20 mil from Lerner..............15 million on darren bent , 5-10 mil on a young up and coming goalscorer and 15 million on a commanding midfielder please.................
-
spurs completely outplayed us twice this season already........so a villa spurs final may not have been that intriuging (however you spell that)
-
We're so close to being a top team. We just need someone to stick the ball in the net - but have we got £20m to get one?? Unlucky today, but we never really looked like scoring so can't really complain too much. Should have had a pen, but I'm sure Chelseas would have still won in the end. 2 matches at wembley now and we haven't scored in open play, theres our problem.
and about more 4 players, so we can allow for injuries and worthwhile substitutions.
we have been extremely lucky this year with injuries, and still are lacking in depth compared to teams above us
-
reality is 4th place is gone, unless you also believe Charlie really had a chocolate factory full of oompa lumpas.....then anythings possible
-
I am done with this season.
wait 6 more matches.
we're still firmly in the fight for 4th place.
i am glad some people have hope.........i lost all hope for 4th place after back to back home draws withsunderland & wolves, when 6 points was amust for 4th

sign of a great team - can break down defences and take their chances
sign of an average team - play the tough luck card, blame the ref etc....
Nonsense we were much on top in the first half.
and created what?
and what did chelsea create. yep, nothing.
3 goals

it's great to see he's going out of his way to be there for his match in charge
