    FF5 Plat'd.

Now this is Final Fantasy. Everything Square learned in the 6 years since the first game comes together absolutely beautifully here. For me, this game contains the best song (Battle on the Big Bridge), possibly the best story scene (Galuf v Ex Death), and the best job system in any of the numbered games.

I did get a bit frustrated with the Blue Magic requirements, it's very similar to 7 in so far as some them require control/manipulation of enemies and there's an rng element too with getting the spawns in the first place, but it's not a bad Plat at all.

I enjoyed this playthrough so much that I actually did a bunch of stuff not necessary for the plat, like all summons, all songs, and some of the 'secrets' like the Bonobo Gourd accessory, or whatever it's called.

I love that they settled on 4 (OK, 5) main playable characters as it allows their stories to breathe and build with each plot twist and story development. I know a lot of fans of the series don't rate 5 due it's tone, there are some proper belly laughs to be had and the juxtaposition against some very heavy moments was fine for me.

It's true that if shows it's age in the way it deals with, let's say some delecate issues as we look back on it from space year 2023...but there's nothing obscene here, certainly not on a par with say Shera in 7.

I also love Bartz as the main character, he's almost like a proto Tidus - laid back, passionate, drawn in to this story through no fault of his own, but along for the ride come what may.

My play time here was 24:44 taking my total playtime to 71:41

    Rolling ranking

    5

    4

    3

    1

    2

On to 6, and I suppose the question is, do I dare rank 5 above it? Hmm.

Personally I'd put 4 over 5. One of my favs from the older games.

Tbf even that one Rooney nudges him just before it if I remember right. And Mings is looking at the play. Only he knows whether he did it or not but of course oppo fans will hold it against him.

If you look Ibra seems to drive his foot down before going over just missing Mings, so he might have interpreted that as Ibra trying to do it to him first.

Chelsea are open to offers for both Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy, talkSPORT understands.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to bring in a new number one this summer.

And he is interested in both Inter Milan’s Andre Onana and Aston Villa World Cup winner Emi Martinez.

Chelsea transfer news LIVE: Pochettino wants goalkeeper revamp, two players to be offered for Onana, latest on Mount to Man United | talkSPORT

    Talksh#te at it again

I'll take a Kepa swap deal plus 50m

That would work. Make it entirely optional.

Do we think Emerald and Ruby will be in there?

    Or the submarine stuff?

I imagine the Huge materia thing would still be in and the submarine bit too, but maybe a bit more linear (so no exploring with the sub). Cut scenes in the submarine, docking etc...

Emerald and Ruby have gotta be optional bosses. Probably not as huge of a scale as we expect but big fight for sure.

Maybe, but I guess if they have got to Cosmo Canyon, there is not all that much content afterward.

After Cosmo (first time round) there's still a fair bit! Nibelheim, Rocket Town, Temple/City of the Ancients, Snow Fields and Glacier, Crater, Huge Materia and Weapons, Back to Midgar, North Crater finale

There looked like a battle in the crater. Does that mean this is the whole of the remaining game? Cosmo Canyon is quite late on, too!

I assumed that fight was on the boat to Costa Del Sol (When you fight Jenova) and you just warped to more of a battlefield kind of thing.

On FM19 I managed Villa for 37 season's and became the greatest manager of all time.

Yes it's weird, although managing Villa on FM22 hasn't been much fun for me so far. Terrible squad left to me by Slippy G

I've always had good saves with this villa squad. Doesn't take much to turn it around and only need a couple of players. Digne is a beast and grabs double digit assists every season. Watkins grows into a solid lone striker. Kamara and Luiz solid. I only really need to upgrade the right side to finish top 4.

Too late for my last DD on the 28th May but it was suggested I lower it from £210 to £201. They've already suggested I lower it again to £166.

I'm somehow £500+ in debit at the moment after my latest meter readings. I'm not raising my DD any more than it is at the moment (160pm) so hopefully it starts eating away at it over the next few months. Propper raising my anxiety all this energy bollocks.

  9. Lets face it, Spurs, Chelsea etc.. isn't a step up this year. Doubt he would return to Arsenal. Newcastle have Pope. City don't need him. So any move would be abroad - honestly don't think he'd want to leave when we've just achieved Europe. He's here next season for sure.
