  1. Are any of you guys black though?

It's kind of pointless saying everyone has been really friendly if you are white yourself.

Would be interested to hear if any black or asian supporters have had any issues.

It will only be a minority of chav types who would cause problems but I don't believe the BBC were making up those pictures.

Spoke to plenty of black and Asian English fans, all encountered no trouble.

Ditto this, all actually laughed when i asked if they'd encountered any racist bother.

  2. I'm going to Kiev for 5 days and doing the Sweden match. Had our pants pulled down on accommodation though, 90 euro a night for a bed in a dorm! Literally all we could find, some of the hotels were like 600 a night and miles out the centre.

Should be fun though, weather should be decent.. decent vodka and hot eastern european girls everywhere!

  3. Terrible match really but i guess it's hard to play football on a pitch that bad.

Guzan 7 - Didn't have much to do, good penalty save

Warnock 5 - Absolutely dreadful, gives the ball away so cheaply

Dunne 6 - Stupid mistake at the end, other than that didn't have too much else to do

Collins 5 - Does nothing but hoof the ball, so frustrating

Hutton 6 - Looks half decent going forward but dreadful at the back, gives plays people into trouble with terrible passes as well

Ireland 7 - Lively, composed on the ball and tried to play football on the ground

Petrov 6 - Solid, nice assist. Too many backward passes for me though

Clark 7 - Solid, breaks play down and keeps it simple. Quality goal as well

Albrighton - 6 Bit of a one trick pony and his crosses were dire. Good goal and his work rate was excellent as usual.

Heskey 4 - Didn't even notice him do anything

Bent 5 - Little to no service but didn't get himself involved enough for me

Gabby 7 - Changed the game for me, lively, energetic, chased things down and put people under pressure. Good goal too

Gardner 6 - Seemed composed on the ball, kept it simple and nearly scored a beauty

Bannan Didn't really have enough time to do anything

Most entertaining part of the day for me was the banter amongst the standing and "sitting" Villa fans. Some really good chants and banter from both sides

Was also a novelty being sat in a curry house a 5 minute walk from my house half hour after full time rather than being stuck in traffic trying to get out of Aston

  4. We were good enough to win and played some decent stuff in the second half. Impressed with Gabby, have never liked him out on the wing but last few matches he's been useful out there.

Zog showed glimpses of being the player we expected, looks really rusty though. Very greedy player too, gets his head down and often misses the obvious passes.

Everyone was pretty solid but the football wasn't that eye catching, would have taken a point before the match but i quite disappointed now we didn't take all 3.

We desperately need to start feeding Bent, he looks so isolated and is feeding of real scraps at the moment

  5. Amazing day out, i still haven't properly got my voice back!

Those videos really do make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, fantastic support and a real carnival atmosphere. Roll on Liverpool on Sunday, if the shit go down i'm sure we can expect more of the same!

  6. I love both and I did have to ask myself why I preferred the Sopranos .I came to the conclusion that I find the whole "La Cosa Nostra" thing more interesting than bog standard cops and crooks. Both have great production and acting, but for me I developed more affection for the Sopranos characters than I did The Wire .

There are also fewer weak episodes in The Sopranos than the Wire . Some would suggest entire seasons of the wire are weaker than others which isn't something I could say about The Sopranos.

Pretty much this word for word

  7. buzz when we scored was unreal - such a massive release from all the shit we've had to endure this season. Grown men jumping over rows of seats and just going **** mental - people punching the air, banging chairs, walls and railings and people randomly screaming "**** YESSS" on the way out of the ground - not to mention all the chanting and bouncing up and down. I absolutely love it, just love it - it's what football's all about! :D

Glad to see I wasn't the only 'grown up' jumping over seats and going mental' Had an american guy behind us - came over for his first match I don't think he knew what hit him when Gabby scored.

Just said ' Hell that was good'

You can't beat a last minute winner absolutely brilliant

Haha i ended up the row infront when we scored, sporting some nice bruises for my troubles as well.

Like you say you just can't beat the feeling of a last minute winner, especially in such an important game. If you could bottle that feeling and sell it you'd be a very rich person!

  8. I too went to the central to find it full of West Ham.. we had a couple in there and moved on. Couldn't find where the villa were drinking so just had a couple in the ground before hand

  9. It really is as simple as Brumerican says. The only difference is that you would add the vegetables later in the cooking process so that they don't turn completely to mush. I personally also think a more vinegary/bitter curry sauce works well with veg, rather than a sweet one. But that's completely up to your tastes.

I was looking more for suggestions on vegetables to use and what goes with what. When i cook Thai food i generally having alot of veg in their with the meat anyway (Sugar Snaps, Green Beans, Peppers, Sweet Potato) but with indian it's generally just meat and sauce, occasionally potatoes. So looking for some suggestions on that front really
