I stand corrected! I'll still be out of touch, so if i draft well it will be pure luck! Had a few issues renewing the league just now, but i think it's sorted. Not sure what the email the other day was about then suggesting it would auto-renew. :S

I swear these threads get earlier and earlier each season! Or maybe it is just me trying to forget about my horrendous showing last year!? I am in and i believe our league auto-renewed a few days ago so check your accounts everyone and let me know if there are any issues.

Giants 1. Who do you realistically want to take? I'm happy to not take a QB at #2 or to trade the pick and move down, but only slightly and for significant compensation. It looks like all the trade talk surrounding Odell Beckham has quietened down now, so if he can get his head together and the rumours around Dez Bryant are true, then for me the logical selection at #2 has to be Saquon Barkley to give the offense some signigicant playmaking ability across the board. I am far from an expert but the production, highlights and measurables are all there with this kid and by all accounts he seems to be a good egg. I think Saquon is better than all the recent great RB draft picks such as Fournette, Gurley, Elliot etc as he will be more of a factor catching the ball out the backfield. If we trade down then i wouldnt want to move out of the top 5 to ensure we could get Nelson or Chubb. If we move past 4 then i suspect Saquon will go to the Browns there if not #1 overall, but i think the Browns will take their preferred QB of the bunch there. 2. Who do you think you will ACTUALLY take? John Mara flew out to have dinner with Josh Rosen, so i think he is a possibility. The Giants have scouted Barkley significantly and spent plenty of time with the main QB's also. They had Chubb in for a visit as well, so it depends how Cleveland go with the #1 pick and who might be willing to come up. 3. Who do you think might fall to your spot who you would take instead? Tough to answer as pretty much everyone is a possibility when picking number 2 overall! I like Josh Allen as a prospect but not at #2 overall. If he falls to the second round i would be intrigued about picking him up to sit behind Eli for a few seasons, but i think that is unlikely and expect he goes higher in the draft potentially #1 overall! Completion percentage/accuracy being the main concern for this guy. 4. Who do you want to completely avoid? Josh Rosen. On the one hand i think he could be the best QB in the draft, but my concern is around his durability and the concussion history.

Patriots winning further enhances the legacy of Tom Coughlin and Eli Manning and keeps the Eagles without a championship, so needless to say, lets go Patriots!

Reese and McAdoo being fired so early was a good thing. Gettleman i am ok with and i think he came across quite well in his press conference. He seems to value big guys to control the LOS and get after the QB - Huzzah! I like that he cut Hart after he had refused to play this week, backs up his comments about not being too concerned about hurting players feelings in contract negotiations etc. Schwartz, Patricia and McDaniels all in to interview this week. Cant say i know much about Patricia, but the other two i dont think would be any good. Wouldn't be totally against Spags depending on who he brought in on the offensive side of the ball.

Oline is beyond a joke. Another wasted season likely. Reese, Mac and Oline coaching need to be disposed of. Never should have 'retired' TC. Reese needed to go.

My receiving corps is riddled with injury so i am pleased with this weeks win to avoid the 0-2 hole!

Same Giants team as last year with a putrid offense. Even with Beckham it wasnt great last year and will be the same this year as the Oline is horrendous. I thought Marshall and Engram might help, but when the oline cant do anything then there is no hope. 35 yards rushing!? Turnstyles would be better on the oline, they might at least offer some momentary resistance!

How long do we want per pick? Its currently 1 minute but can be up to 2 minutes.

I think at this late stage we will go with what we have, (sorry Tubby!) but any last minute entries let me know and i will see what i can do.

Yeah, been that way since the start. Open to moving it, but everyone has to deal with the potential of players being rested in week 17 and knows that going into the draft. For a free to play league i think its ok and occasionally puts some added drama on the decider!

It was impressive. Landon Collins is really turning into some player and JPP was causing havoc too, so plenty to be enthused with, but yeah pre-season and the Jets!

All quiet in here! Defense looks good in the pre-season of the little i've seen and the few snaps the starters had. Interested to see Beckham, Marshall and Engram all line-up together on offense which should be decent if the OLine can give Eli longer than 1 second to throw!

I've temporarily increased the league size to 16 and sent invites to Bernie and Dante. If we dont hear from the two outstanding soon, i will remove and we can go with 14. Any changes to rosters or scoring settings? Currently rosters are: 1QB 2RB 2WR 1TE 1TE/WR 1K 1D/ST 5BN
