Nothing was announced at the ground at the time (that I can recall, however excitement might have got the better of me). Unofficially I have seen elsewhere 42,212. I'd probably wait a few more days and see if anything comes to light.

Definitely nothing announced during the game or on the scoreboard like usual.

I know because me and my brother always have a £5 bet on who gets the nearest guess.

Fantastic battling performance. Brian Little CP commentator on my coverage of the game today. He was almost pleading for Ming's to be sent off. Very disappointing for a Villa legend to be saying that

I thought it was Brian Little but it was actually some Geordie called Michael Bridges who was shockingly bias against Villa.

Conference league is ours to lose now.

If it wasn't for the pen miss & the injury to Morena I think we walk away with 3 points today.

Chris Sutton and “rapper and Man City fan, Blanco” have both predicted us to win. 1-2 Villa according to Sutton, and 0-1 for Blanco, who then goes on to add the below comments in his Liverpool v Spurs prediction:

I just don't understand why Tottenham always beat us? How does that happen? I think they just treat it like a cup final when they play us - they have never won anything, so they just go for it! Liverpool always seem to beat them at Anfield though.”

This comment really winds me up. Classic plastic Citeh dick head. As much as I dislike Spurs, they’ve won plenty. In fact they’ve won the FA Cup 8 times, League Cup 4 times, the league twice and a European trophy in the Cup Winners Cup. Citeh were nothing before the oil money.

Blanco is from south London but grew up a Blue.

    Says it all. Proper plastic.

  4. Well done the ladies.

Would like to get to one of the VP games. Can anyone tell me, do they close the roads to traffic around VP like they do the mens games?

I have limited mobility so was hoping to maybe get dropped off by taxi along Trinity Road or Witton Lane at about 20 mins before kick off.

I don’t know, Occam’s Razor suggests she accidentally fell into the water, but her phone being left seems slightly odd to me. A forensic search and rescue expert highlighted these anomalies in one media report.

As the saying goes "Every day is a school day" I had to google that, interesting stuff.

    Some English geezer said that.

I think you'll find it was some Scottish geezer

Come on we havent had a boxing game at home in years lets get the place rocking. Keep the good feel factor going.

Coutinho will be on the bench was a interesting option. He wont get away with his crappy performances he was showing under gerrard under emery so if called upon he has to show his quality

Apart from last year v Chelsea

Yes I had it down as being him Mad as a box of frogs. Apparently he used to do one arm press ups in town outside blues pubs on his own suicide missions. I think he also head-butted a police  horse once and said it ‘wobbled’

    That sounds like him 🤣

I remember queuing to get in the Holte (mid 70's) just as he was being thrown out by the Police. He wasn't best pleased and started head butting the wall. Blood everywhere was a scary sight for a 14 yr old.

He said they got a lot of payback for the return fixture on the Serpentine car park.with a little Arab fella running the show 🤣 Just a little before my time

That sounds like it could have been Pete the Greek. I think he was part of the Kingstanding Steamers mob and a proper nutter.

  10. How frustrating was that? Not for the first time this season I was screaming at the tv. Aimlessly lumping balls into the box was criminal.

I had a feeling we were going to come unstuck when the BT sport pundits Chris Sutton, Karen Carney & Joe Cole were talking Villa up as Champions League candidates before the game started.

Very bad day at the office. Not looking forward to Wolves on Saturday.
