How much do you reckon people spend in there typically?  Obviously hard to say. For the 2 games so far myself & my brother have spent roughly £20 each on food & drinks plus our 2 drinks vouchers each.

Are people staying late and getting there much earlier having a few beers? Are people generally eating? For the 1st game v Everton it was packed 90 mins before kick off, but only about a 3rd full after the game. Plenty eating & drinking before the game,. Strangely the food kiosk is closed after the game so only drinks available. It's a great option to have a couple of pints for an hour or so after the game in a relaxed atmosphere.

It's such a shame It seems to have impacted the concourse facilities for the rest of the upper Holte enders.

Were fan relations between the terrace view and the normal tier holte Enders okay yday? Anymore flashpoints like the half time vid from last week?

I personally didn't notice any animosity.

Had a laugh with one guy who asked me "is there any spare prawn sandwiches in there mate" as I came out to take my seat 🤣

For information: I would say it was probably about 50% capacity compared to the Everton game which is understandable as not included in the season ticket.

Promoted team, first home game v different formation, goalkeeper and defence for us - I’ll take a point now if offered.

It's not their first home game though. They played Man City first game of the season at home.

Aston is famous for Italians - there was Aldo's cafe in Witton and Tony Iommi, to name but two!

Ohhh Aldo's cafe what a blast from the past. I had many a good fry up in there after home games in the 80's.

sky sports news reporting a "second unnamed premier league club" interested in Hudson-Odoi....anyone reckon it could be us? he is still only 22, has huge potential still and we could do with someone in that position even though we are signing zaniolo

    Oh god no thanks.

Villa cost me '3 games for £30' deal a decade ago. I think it was Chelsea, Spurs and a relegation team. It's what got me hooked into watching Villa in the stadium on a regular basis.

Chelsea, Spurs and Luton in the same seats would now cost me £159 (58.50+58.50+42).

Terrace View is £82 a game as a season ticket, and i'm guessing £120 on an individual basis.

That's some increase in 10 years.

Which also includes 2 pints and a programme every game. Obviously only valid if you would normally buy those anyway.

Oh dear, what rotten luck. 🤣

Flooding damage at Birmingham City's football ground has led to a jobs fair being called off.

Birmingham City FC said the torrential rain had led to flooding and a number of areas at St Andrew's, including hospitality boxes, lounges and suites, were out of bounds.

Severn Trent's Big Boost for Brum jobs event, due to be held at the ground on Monday, has been postponed.

Severn Trent had been expecting up to 1,000 people to attend.

  11. Managed to get tickets for this.

I've never been to Bescot/Poundland (apart from the Sunday market) or whatever it's called now. Just wondering what the parking situation is around the ground for someone with limited mobility. Has anyone used the official car park?

Anyone used the train? I notice the station is quite close to the ground. What's your experience?

I agree, I don’t think VP or Bodymoor for that matter have to be re-branded for the new kit launch. The club store will need to be entirely flipped though, and any remaining merch with the old badge will need to be removed.

Maybe somebody local who has popped by the shop lately can speak to its current state. The online shop still has loads of stuff with the old badge on it, which will also need to be removed and replaced.

I popped in there yesterday to pick up a few bargains. It was quite busy to be fair.

Loads of stuff left. I thought they would be more or less giving the Cazoo branded stuff away but quite expensive considering it's obsolete stock now.

Erdington boy here.. Villa 99.95% in the eighties.. moved away in the 90’s as a twenty year old.. no idea now what the percentage would be for Villa now in Erdington but I would hope 99.94%..

More or less still the same. Probably 99.96% Villa now.

  14. I'm sure I saw something along the lines of it being delayed because of inflation being so high this year. Building materials, machinery, workforce etc costing way more than was expected so waiting for the expected drop in inflation before making a start.

Not sure where I saw that, might have been on here somewhere.

I think you might struggle longer than that - isn't the plan to gut the whole of the Trinity Hospitality once the North Stand is open - moving everyone into the new stand for a season while the Trinity is remodelled?

Oh yeah completely forgot about that.

looks like I'm going to be a Holte Ender for a while then.

I am on the waiting list for corporate this season. I’m guessing there is little chance of getting any if gas lamp is closing. Struggle to even get a price on how much each lounge would be if anything becomes available

Yes I think you'll struggle to get hospitality until the new North is built. Would you not be interested in the Holte Terrace?

We did ask if there was any availability anywhere else in the ground but was told nothing available.

  17. 10 hours ago, ender4 said:

Actually if you took out the cost of the 2 pints and a programme (£14), then the cost for actual access to the lounge is £11 per game.

If they sold it on that basis, it would sound much much better, and most people who pay for that £11 access would buy 2 drinks anyway.

How much is a season ticket in the upper Holte for the coming season? I have a feeling that access to the lounge would work out to more than your £11 per game when all told.

Mine is £1560 which works out at £82.10 per game.

Technically speaking are you now a season ticket holder in the Upper Holte?

If you decided not to renew your Holte End Terrace View tickets next season, where would that leave you? Would you have the option of keeping the seat, or would you be moved back onto the season ticket waiting list?

I would like to think so but who knows. After being season ticket holders for the last 26 years I'd be pretty p****d off if we did end up on the waiting list. I'm sure they would accommodate us somewhere.

As soon as the new North Stand is built we would be looking to move back there, but that's going to be a while away yet.

  18. Myself & brother are not happy bunnies.

History: We've had season tickets since 1997 but in 2018 we decided to go for the hospitality experience. The reason being, I only get to see my brother on match days (both busy lives) (and we can afford it) so thought it would be a great idea to have access to a lounge before, during & afterwards so we could spend some quality time together having a good old catch up etc in nice surroundings.

Our 1st season in hospitality was the Heineken Lounge with seats in the Trinity, which was great. Next we thought we'd upgrade to the 82 Lounge for a couple of seasons which was fantastic.

Finally we opted for new the Gas Lamp Lounge in the North Stand along with seats in the Trinity which worked out at about £800 cheaper a season so we jumped at the chance. All's been good for the last few seasons in the Gas Lamp. Obviously we were aware it wouldn't last long as the redevelopment of the North Stand is due to start after next season, but we were shocked to find out (only 3 weeks ago) the Gas Lamp Lounge won't be available to us for next season. No reason given but must be something to do with the redevelopment.

The alternatives we were given was to keep our seats in the Trinity but have no Hospitality, or relocate to the new Holte End Terrace View. Reluctantly we had little choice to move to the new Holte Lounge. Speaking to other folks from the Gas Lamp they will be doing the same. Just one other thing, I don't think we will be displacing any existing season ticket holders in the Holte as we've been told that seat location cannot be guaranteed so I presume we will just fill in where anyone hasn't renewed. Again see screenshot.

The quoted price of £1300 per season is excl VAT so it will actually work out at £1560 each. See screenshot.

Just thought it would be useful info for you guys in the Holte upper.
