It's great today, all the Liverpool fans are quiet
The wheels have fell of Klopps farewell tour bus
Not really a laughing matter considering the implications for us.

Well, the Villa way would be to beat Lille home and away, beat Arsenal then lose to Bournemouth
I'll take that.

So Knighthead have finally bought the 48 acre wheels site. Noses going crazy about their new stadium. A few of the less deluded ones are pointing out that Knighthead own the land, not BCFC. This has the potential to all come crashing down. Hedge fund uses club to acquire land from council. Develops land, dumps club. They’re a hedge fund folks. They are in it for profit. This could be hilarious.
Oh please let it be

Easier said than done of course, but It would be nice to be able to buy up all that outlined area. Possibly build a new stadium adjacent ala Spuds.

Slightly off topic a little, but I forgot to post after the game.
I watched the game on TNT and there was a female commentator alongside Ian Darke and she was honestly one of the best commentators we’ve had on one of our games this season. She was knowledgeable, spoke about our injuries, clearly researched our playing style, spoke about the disruption to our back 4 and the effects of that on our high line etc.
I know it’s a bit of a hot topic at the moment, mainly due to that idiot Joey Barton, but whoever the lady was alongside Darke was really actually very good. They both were. Much better than having to listen to the nonsensical hyperbole from that moron Drury and whichever ex United/Liverpool player they’ve rolled out alongside him.
I dunno, I just think it was terrific commentary all night.
I agree she (Lucy Ward) was very complimentary towards us.

Players are currently having around 10 days off what more rest do they need. Yes some have played more than others but they are elite athletes their recovery times are much less than us mere mortals.
It's probably more to do with the fact that we play this 4 days before the more important Newcastle game.
We will need everyone fighting fit for that.

Some guy on FB last night was adamant that Pau would be missing this. He was taking some right pelters, but he just said "wait until 1pm tomorrow and you'll find out for yourselves. Must be in the know.

I find it odd that people think of the Terrace View as “corporate”. These aren’t business folks entertaining their clients, these are fans who are happy to pay extra for use of the facility.
Exactly.
Some people have this notion that it's all prawn sandwiches & cocktails when in reality it's just down to earth normal supporters like myself & brother who like somewhere to go for a couple of pints before & after the match while we wait for the traffic to die down.

Saturday v Arse was by far the busiest I've seen the TV.
Absolutely rammed before the game and even had a DJ on the go which made for a great atmosphere.
Not so busy after the game but again a great atmosphere as the DJ struck up a Sweet Caroline which was brilliant.

Incidentally, how does this work from here - are the 45 people who were charged likely to be locked up in the UK or moved back to Poland?
I think they'd be charged then bailed but would have to return here to appear in court.

My god this makes depressing reading for a Friday morning.
No way the professor of our Unai-versity is going anywhere soon.

Even If he was allowed to play in the coming games, where is his head going to be with this hanging over him?
IMO, I think Nico's short Villa career will come to a premature end.

I was listening to bbc606 last night and a Chelsea fan was talking a bit about the changes owners are introducing. one change was hospitality style seating behind the dug out, these seats are to be on sale for 1600 per game.
I'm sure I've seen Villa are looking at introducing something similar. A shame for those that already sit there and another indicator of the types of revenue and costs being pushed by other clubs.
Could be the reason why they've done away with the dugout cover. Nice clear view of the bench & the pitch now.

I was never too keen on Kate Bush's music at the time (late 70's) so I turned down the chance to see her at Brum Hippodrome of all places. It was a midweek gig & was working 6-2 the next morning so gave it a swerve.
As I've grown older her music has really grown on me. I tried to get tickets for one of her last gigs at the Hammersmith Apollo in 2014 but they were like rocking horse doo doo so no chance.
Needless to say my biggest regret was not seeing her when she was on my door step back in 79. Maybe she'll do another tour sometime but I can't see it myself.

How much do you reckon people spend in there typically? Obviously hard to say. For the 2 games so far myself & my brother have spent roughly £20 each on food & drinks plus our 2 drinks vouchers each.
Are people staying late and getting there much earlier having a few beers? Are people generally eating? For the 1st game v Everton it was packed 90 mins before kick off, but only about a 3rd full after the game. Plenty eating & drinking before the game,. Strangely the food kiosk is closed after the game so only drinks available. It's a great option to have a couple of pints for an hour or so after the game in a relaxed atmosphere.
It's such a shame It seems to have impacted the concourse facilities for the rest of the upper Holte enders.

Were fan relations between the terrace view and the normal tier holte Enders okay yday? Anymore flashpoints like the half time vid from last week?
I personally didn't notice any animosity.
Had a laugh with one guy who asked me "is there any spare prawn sandwiches in there mate" as I came out to take my seat
For information: I would say it was probably about 50% capacity compared to the Everton game which is understandable as not included in the season ticket.

I have a season ticket in the Terrace View. It's been pretty much rammed out (pre match) every game from what I can see.
Can't comment on the Lower Grounds though.
