Which in depth studies say France is not a moderate country, or that it is and always will be socialist, though? I think that was the point being raised
Which in depth studies say that UKIP, a party on an anti-EU ticket, with vocal concerns about intra-EU cross border free movement of population, are collectively racist?
-
The rise of France's National Front is a greater cause for concern than the rise of UKIP. UKIP are just the nastier strains of the tories branched out. The NF represents something more sinister - a return of a genuinely far-right party in an otherwise moderate country. Although, they are more of a populist party economically these days.
Front Nationale have been 'prominent' for years, but France is not a 'moderate' country, it is a socialist country, and will always be so.
Nationalist parties like FN and BNP appeal to voters who would normally vote for socialist parties, not more moderate right wing parties.
-
The leader of the UKIP Youth has got to be in his late 30s?!
Baden Powell was 50 when he started the scouting movement.

Nah, David is Blair-lite and the public would see that.
Neither of them are leadership material. Hell, there are no leaders in politics anymore, which imo is a good thing. I don't trust personalities, I trust dull people who enjoy the tedium of running a country.
So, don't you trust Ed?
He fits your profile, but his problem is that he needs to wait another 6 years before his party may be fit to govern, and that is only if Ed Balls is ousted.
But the wrong Ed will probably be ousted way before that.....

I do love the speculation, the supposed or real ITKs, the WUMs which all boils down down to the simple fact that I suspect very few people know what is going on. There will just be a magic circle of RL, PF, the rest of the Board and their advisors. I very much doubt PL know that much although I could see him being part of that circle as he had to trail all the way to the States last weekend.
I will share the little bit of ITK that I have heard. My other half works with a lady who is married to someone who works at the club in a semi senior position. He and all his colleagues think that Lambert went to the States meet the new owner and agree his new contract. I know who the person at the club is, in fact I see him at VP most match days although he does not know me. He categorically would not be privy to detailed information. The only reason I am posting it is that it suggests that those at the club know just as little as us.
Personally I think its rubbish and as I have said a few times I think there is no buyer lined up and we are at the early stages of a probably quite protracted sale process.
If there will be a new owner, it would be madness for them to retain Lambert. The moment that there were a few adverse results, then the supporters would be on Lambert's back, and the negativity would envelop the club.
Any change in ownership is not going to instantly turn the team into top-half fighters, so chances are this could happen, creating more turbulence.
New owner, new broom, new manager.

Yep I've paused an episode of Modern Family to see what Rolex Jay was wearing. It was the Milgauss GV.
Easy to spot Subs, especially the Hulk or an LV. So common. But I can now spot which is a Sea Dweller from a Sub and a Sub from a Ceramic Sub.
Clarkson always wears his Planet Ocean in top gear.
The easiest watch to spot. Is the Daytona because of the polished centre links of the bracelet.
And people say that plane spotters are geeky
I don't get how 42mm can be too big. I've a 46mm Navi World and I've 6.75 inch wrists which would be pretty skinny wrists in fairness. Each to their own of course.
I suppose we can give advice if we know what he's looking for. It's hard to recommend a watch otherwise. I'm guessing he's looking for an all rounder daily driver that looks good with a suit or a T shirt.
Next we need to think of complications, I'd imagine a date would be required, but will he need a chronograph? Or would he be better with a dual time? Does he need any complications at all or just for the sporty aesthetics alone.
It's hard to justify IWC over JLC given the budget. I've owned both a Portuguese and a JLC Master Chrono and the gulf in quality is noticeable. There's a reason people say of JLC, Patek quality for Rolex prices.
But if no complication is needed bar date we can look at Rolex, Glaschutte, Zenith maybe.
Good advice.
You have me thinking!

You have to comment on any negative post dont you? Just because others arent so full of the joys of believing bullshit doesnt mean they cant comment!Yes, stop encouraging them. Let's just lock this thread and have a direct link to the OS ready for an announcement. That'll be fun
As I commented a couple of days ago, the common VT ITKs are very quiet, which makes you wonder whether something is actually going on.
The only 'ITK' stuff has been on TBAR, so it remains to be seen whether that is/was bullshit.
But I don't believe that we have seen any potential bullshit on VT. Not yet, anyway.

Is that true? When he sold up we were without doubt in a worse position than the current situation.
I'd say we have a worse squad. DOL was sacked and we've got a manager most fans can't stand. On top of that we've just had a season much worse than Doug's final year.
Is there any difference between DOL and a manager we can't stand?

In July 2009, Cortese conducted the deal to buy Southampton, then in administration, for Markus Liebherr, a German-born, Swiss-based industrialist.[3] Following the completion of the purchase, Liebherr realised that his newly acquired business had no senior management structure, and invited Cortese to take the role of Executive Chairman, with the principal role of developing the long term strategy for the football club and the business.[4] Cortese was appointed a director of Southampton Football Club Limited on 1 August 2009.
When you take over a football club this is what you do Randy!
But then someone like Cortese would see straight through the god that was O'Neill.
So Randy's chief exec versus the inexplicably popular manager.
Cortese would have been gone as quick as you could say Richard Fitzgerald.

Flying at 0600, so I miss the opportunity.
I don't think that my votes will be missed.

Do Signature work for most clients, or is there a nice few options involved Trees?
At BHX it is pretty much only Signature. Their local rival recently went bust.
At busier UK airports and at most airports in the US, there are several handling agents.
All private aircraft park at the Elmdon Apron, which is the Old Terminal for us pre-1984 types.
Enough in depth geeky stuff, as we are swaying off topic. No more questions please!

Unless you have a very head strong and smart chairman (someone like Levy), you don't let people like O'Neill or Redknapp near your club. Manipulators that seem to leave a lot of clubs in a mess.
Levy employed Redknapp.
And Levy isn't 'smart'
Not footbal-smart, anyway.

Are they also parked away from prying eyes?
It's not where they park, it's how they park.
After it became apparent that Randy Lerner's aircraft was being observed it started parking at an angle where the door was not visible from landside. Passengers would be driven to/from the aircraft with no fear of close scrutiny.
The Rich aircraft was parked in a similar fashion, as some other completely unrelated aircraft are from time to time.
Signature, the handling agent, are well versed in protecting their important clients, and there was/is a notice in their office forbidding any employee to speak about Randy Lerner's aircraft to any enquirer.
Trees, is it possible that these private jets are shared around and "loaned" between wealthy folk? I just don't see how Robert Rich would be interested in buying Villa but I do wonder if Randy might have asked him to loan a jet in order to protect certain identities and cover tracks?
Everything is possible, but there are plenty of private charter companies to hire from, without 'borrowing'
When Les Wexner comes to town for the shooting season, he often invites his mates, but they all come in their own aircraft. It appears that no one gives any one a lift.
And, as I have stated before, they are not going to not use their aircraft because of a few potential geeks on the internet.

not strictly relevant other than being 'historic', but Lancaster nose sections being constructed at the Castle Bromwich factory
Pretty topical, considering that the world's only two airworthy survivors will be united for a series of air shows in the UK this August.
Exciting stuff for us plane geeks.

Could this person be called Dick?
Houllier thread, hall of fame.
Please check it yourself.

Are there any ITK's in this thread, because I haven't seen any? To be honest the common ITK's, and those who profess to be ITK, have been so quiet that it makes you think that things may be further advanced than it seems.Until this is resolved the ITK's will feel they can rule the roost.
There are one or two posters on VT who possess high post counts, yet seem affronted and maybe even threatened by anyone who may have information that they don't, which is probably why TBAR has risen so swiftly, as the 'better fan/forum member than you' culture doesn't appear to exist over there. Not yet, anyway.
Always reminds me of one of the memorable VT postings, by a none ITK who later changed his colours and declared himself one, posted in the thread before Houllier was manager.
All part of the New Villa, get used to itNo one knows **** all. Not mysteryman, not gaztonvilla, not villa_insider not the thetrees. No body knows anything about anything do to woth the manager, possible players etc. Its just pure guess work. Only people who know who the next manager will be is randy, faulkener or krulak and none of those people are stupid or unproffesional enough to disclose a business' affairs to any tom dick or harry. Drives me mental how people hang on the every word of these so called ITK's when they know no more than me or any other villa fan.
have to agree.
Keep praising us dont give us any difficult questions to answer and we'll throw you the odd crumb like good little boys and girls
Ask us tough questions and just believe everything in the garden is not rosey and we'll take our bat and ball home

Can you give any details on the other curious one Trees?
Nope, not relevant.
If I started posting everything that comes through I would bore everyone, not just the few.
Should it appear relevant at any point , then I will advise.

Trees - so Teterboro airport is outside Manhattan, NY.
Buffalo is 6.5 hours from there. Would it be similar to how the plane got here - via luton?
So going back he'd stop at Teterboro, refill or whatever and then just get back to Buffalo?
It could be a coincidence, I mean as much as there are links between the owner of the jet, there have been some major acts in the UK over the last few days, even the WWE has been here. Maybe he's a fan - or it could be his wife - it could be anything! But when you look for links, you can often link anything to anything via tedious links.
Are the lawyers still in the country? Can you see passengers on flights? Why don't you purchase a GPS tracker and attach it to the car the passengers got into!?
Teterboro is the main executive airport of NYC-think Heathrow busy, but just private jets.
I assume that the occupants have business in NY-Buffalo from BHX is easy without the need to refuel.
I am aware of WWE and Miley Cyrus related flights this past week or so. Also a couple of others, one a definite no, but another curious one that I couldn't link. There are plenty of flights, but I only flag up ones that *might* be relevant.
And no, I don't generally see passenger lists, but on the odd occasion that I do, I would not report them anywhere.

Is that the lawyers thetrees?
Nope, Rich Products.

And off they went to Teterboro
Parked in a non-standard position, away from prying eyes. Multiple pax and a number of bags.
Probably completely unrelated

The New Condem Government

I was, and it was in response to the 'worried' post regarding the rise of FN, in a country where I believe that the far right is even less likely to get a foothold than ours, so basically no chance.
But it is always 'outrageous' to claim that the far right appeal to those who are, or who feel, less fortunate in society, and who would normally vote for left wing parties, because it doesn't quite fit.
Birmingham's BNP councillor wasn't elected in Solihull or Four Oaks, he/she was elected in Kingstanding.(not very 'in depth' I know, but a fact nonetheless)
Perhaps when Labour are next in they can commission one of their expensive in depth studies, the results of which they can use to educate people in target areas about the way that they should vote.
