  1. Not getting at you Judy

    Its Julie but never mind!!...lol

Well to be honest I was beginning to wonder!!

it might be a done deal but it could all go belly up if everyone backs out ..I still won't beleive it till I see it that MON would ever work with Ellis unless a takeover goes through & there's a transfer budget

  2. Rumour has it that 10.000 ST holders did not review. It would take Doug about 5 years to meet each and every one of them for one hour each.

Good keep him busy!!...Maybe then someone with an ounce of common sense could check the Expense Statements.

Its the principal I was talking about...the fact that we're thought of as somehow a necessary irritaion in the Ellis empire

  3. Hot off the unofficial rumour mill I've just bin told on phone from someone I trust and who has connections at VP and has always come up trumps in the past - MON is a done deal but what's holding him officially being appointed is Takeover being sorted...

What also made me laugh was his tale of two Blues & Albion fans who'd both written to their prospective Chairman regarding relegation & their non renewal of Season Tickets this was outcome:-

Blues fan wrote to KB relating his non renewal of Season Ticket & disgust at relegation. Swore he wouldn't renew until they were promoted back to Premiership

Had immediate letter back from KB personally inviting him to meet with her to air his views. Blues fan wrote back declining invitation. Immediate Letter back from KB enclsosing free tickets for first 4 home games in HIS normal seat!! Nice gesture IMO!

Albion Fan - Wrote similar letter to Chairman of WBA. Had personal response from him & an invitation to meet with him, which he accepted. Had a one to one meeting with said Chairman and was told Robson had been given 12months to turn it all around otherwise he was out!!

Now I know its the Blues & the Albion but you gotta acknowledge their attitude towards their supporters...Villa fans are treated with disdain and indifference continually by Ellis...he doesn't even bother responding to emails or letters anymore!!

I dont know if this has been ansewered but does anyone know who those 3 Americans were at Villa Park Tuesday?

Yeah it was Channel 4's new American Producers for a Transatlantic

    reality show called

    "Big F*****"

  5. SSN r sooo enoyin when it said breaking news about villa i thought yes takeover but they talk about Aitken which was mentioned on here over an hour ago!!

Yeah and read the Sky Text its even funnier...reckons Nevilles heading AV06 Bid

& Padfield heads another consortium. Loads of errors!

    Muppets!!

  6. Anyone else notice that in Mail Bill Howell is still insisting that MON has accepted the job at Villa!!........How can he keep claiming this unless it ain't true!! Someone somewhere is feeding him this stuff True or False!

  7. As it's pretty irrelevant I'm not going to continue to pass on updates as to where it moves to, but the minute it so much as points in our direction I will post on this forum.

But TT Its gone so quiet your regular plane stalking inputs make our day!!

Seriously was talking to friend in Ohio last night and he said we really do not want RL as owner...He said his dad Al was actually involved in the beginning with Modell taking the Brown's to Baltimore, which everyone seems to forget! He said his son Randy since 2002 has continued to put staff in the club who have not delivered & their scouting & general coaching has fallen way below others in NFL. To be fair that was point the guy from USA Today was saying last night on SSN that RL had more than enough to keep him occupied with turning round the Browns! Also mentioned the Glazier take over but like someone said Villa ain't in any debt unlike Man Utd.

I made the point that Villa are different in that we have a good Academy & coaching staff the infrastructure everything.....ALL we need is to rid ourselves of an autocratic Chairman who has held the club back for 20 odd year & injecct some serious investment & get someone in to do some serious marketing of the club, which the Yanks are brilliant at.

Several of questions to the club? (and Bill I know you read VT)

    1) Did a representative of Rothchild have a meeting with MO'N yesterday?

    2) Why and who is feeding negative spin about the different bids to the local hacks?

    3) Is a certain reporter of the local rag fairly and truthfully reporting information to the readers of the newspaper or is he serving someone elses interests and what is getting in return?

    4) Is Rothchilds acting impartially and in the interests of ALL the shareholders?

    5) Are Mr.Ellis and the board working towards the best interests of the shareholders of Aston Villa PLC?

    6) Are all the potential bidders being kept fully and fairly informed?

    7) Are member of the AVFC PLC board and Rothchild fully honouring the confidentiallity agreements signed by various parties?

Perphaps if there's no announcement or likelihood of one by Thursday night then Villa fans should turn their attention away from contacting the Lerner camp to bombarding VP & the Evening Mail demanding answers to the questions that Mike has so eloquently raised. Unless the Board has forgotten the football club currently has the prospect of starting a new season with no new players, a caretaker manager, unresolved ownership with and an impending transfer deadline looming!!

It simply is not good enough that AVFC PLC is not fully cooperating with the consortiums interested in buying the club as evidenced by the Times Articles & Interview on Radio 5

This is turning into quite simply an utter disgrace of the highest order & I cannot beleive Rothschilds will continue for much longer to have their name associated with such a shambles!!

  9. Tomorrow would be a perfect time to announce new manager and owners IMO. AFter this week and it totally ***** up pre-season both on/off field from the team sense but also commercially and that includes ticket/season ticket sales

Didn't someone say that season ticket sales were down 40%?? Ellis & the Board simply have to pull their fingers out & get this whole shambles sorted Manager, Owners and New Players ASAP!!!!

I noticed SSN are now showing the Aston Villa Players IN board with absolutely No Players showing

  10. Padmore didn't seem very enamoured with Ellis' and the board & their response to the Consortium's legitimate questions like "Are they appointing a manager before the bids are tabled?" "If so what are the terms and conditions" Maybe someone should point him in Bill Howell's direction!

I was trying to Listen to Murphy & watch SSN about Lerner at the same time so maybe I didn't get it right but my overall impression was that Murphy was hinting that Ellis might not want to to sell but I know that's not true cos BF's Dad fishes with His Worshipfulness sometimes and he told me ages ago that he'd told his dad he definitely wanted to sell Villa as he was getting too old for it all. Which presumably why Roths were appointed.

  11. Very quiet indeed.....

There's hardly bin any trades with Villa shares today....Only 3 that I can see and all at 504.75 with Price Quoted 4.975....S Ex closes at 5pm.

Didn't someone say who knew 2 people at VP & that person who claimed to have spoken to Tony Morley that any announcements regarding MON & Takeover would be made tomorrow??? but I'm not getting too excited....

I've actually done some work today in between keeping an eye on SSN, News Now & VT!!

  12. I dont think anyone knows who they were tbh, apart from the chauffeur guy they had

If you read the B'Ham Mail article today shown in MON & AVO^ thread claims these guys were indeed Lerner's guys who've been at VP sorting it all out for days..

Maybe Randy's back on Long Island in Newhampton catching up on ALL the emails

he's bin sent by incensed Villa fans!

  13. The American was left bemused by his earlier meeting with Ellis, when he arrived with the intention of making an offer subject to due diligence, and would not countenance the possibility of enduring another frustrating experience.

Unbeleivable!!!.....Now we know why Ellis is ONLY allowed to sit in the car from now

    on...what a disgrace!!
