Think Milner would be great, Sidwell maybe Bellamy. What about Saviola? Nope Nugent didn't score today it was Gareth Whaley, and ever since he got the call up he's been very poor, his finishing has been garbage, i can't believe there was even a debate the other day about if he was a better player than Gabby!!

Barton/Bellamy I really cant decide on, both lunatics but good players. Their arrival would be nothing short of controversial, not sure if MON wants that kind of negative PR for the club. He may feel he can tame either/both but you have to ask yourself, with the re-branding and everything else, is it worth the risk?

Bellamy holds MON in the highest esteem from his Celtic loan spell, he's said so publicly and also added that MON is the kind of manager you'd want to play you're entire career under! I think if he's leaving Liverpool this summer I wouldn't be surprised if he's B6 bound at all. Think if anyone can get him to perform at his best then we've got the best manager with the best facilities to make it happen!!

Sidwell from Reading is out of contract in the summer and available..He's looked really good everytime I've seen him play.

Because I think Berbatov is EXACTLY the kind of player Villa need to sign if we are going to make a statement to the rest of the Premiership that with new owners we mean business. He'd be awesome with Carew up front methinks and Young out wide etc. He's being linked with a move away from Spurs and although he may well go to Mancs or Chelsea etc we do have leverage perhaps with Petrov and the MON factor!

Who we buy for a striker is another matter because for as long as I can remember WHOEVER Villa buy to score goals more often than not just can't score at VP..... then they leave and then score boatloads!!!...ala...Crouch....Savo etc

I did contact Phil Mepham who said he liked it and another VT member is trying to move this forward with JF from Vital Football as well with the local radio stations.

Any investors who held Villa shares in Nominee accounts with Stockbrokers will have only had the letters over the weekend. Therefore Capita would have only counted positive responses, I would suspect, from direct shareholders by today. There's probably alot more shares to be sorted as the deadline was 5th Sept I think the letter said

I can't see how they can put a bid now surely, unless they are going to be right bastards and submit it first thing Wednesday morning :evil:
