I bet a few of us would take Bednerek now!! FML!
At this stage I'd be happy with Dedonker and Moura on loan - at least that gives us more options at CB/DM and No.10.
Is it bad that the signing I really want today is Craig Dawson? That's how far expectations have fallen!
Maybe we'll get a Connor Gallagher shaped surprise!

For the love of god. We’re probably still in for a CM as well.

Wow - the negativity on here is a bit much! Three from Sarr, Bailey, Watkins, Ings, Buendia, Countinho looks fantastic with only two of them anywhere near 30. Some games you would hope we’d play 4-2-3-1 and use 4 of them.
Relax. Say what you want about the people in charge at the moment, but they’re not stupid. Gerrard has been saying clearly that he wants a number 8. So I’d be surprised if one didn’t come in before the window closes. Plenty of time left yet - we’ll be working through our targets, I believe Bissouma was first choice, and he would have transformed our midfield, but there are others out there.
The need for an additional CB is the one that has come from left field. This may not be a Grade A recruit as it wasn’t planned for, can’t blame anybody for that. If Berdanek is the best we can get then so be it.
Let’s have a bit more positivity - keep the faith.

What about Moussa Dembele (ex Fulham and Celtic) for the striker position?
Hopefully Konrad Laimer at CM

Martinez (New)
Cash, KKH
Digne (Bassey)
(Tarkowski), Konsa
Carlos, Chambers
Kamara, Nakamba, Tim
(Bissouma), McGinn
Luiz, Ramsey
Buendia, Bailey
Coutinho, Carney
(New), Watkins, Ings
25th Man - Young
Sell - Kalanic, Guilbert, Mings, Hause, Targett, Sanson, Trez, El Ghazi, Traore, Davis - there’s almost 100m in there I reckon

Ideal signings:-
Olsen
Gomez
Hickey
Kamara
Luiz new contract or Bissouma
That really does not cost very much at all.
Martinez, Olsen, Sinsalo
Cash, KKH
Digne, Hickey
Gomez, Chambers
Mings, Konsa
Kamara, Nakamba, Tim I
McGinn, Carney
Luiz, Ramsey
Buendia, Bailey
Coutinho, JPB
Watkins, Ings, Archer
25th man - Ashley Young
Sell - Steer, Guilbert, Hause, Targett, Sanson, Trez, El Ghazi, Traore, Davis, Wesley
I have a feeling though, that the changes will be even more vast than this, and we’ll see an extra midfield and an extra forward come in to take us to the next level!

Can see a max of 3 players coming in this summer.
1. DM.
2. RB - I don't think Gerrard is convinced by Cash and will look to replace him and if that is the case, hopefully Atletico are still interested in him and we can make a good profit on him.
3. CB - The way he has to urge Konsa and Mings to come out with the ball makes me think Gerrard wants more of a ball playing defender that is willing to carry ball out of defence.
I see this + a new striker.
I can see Watkins and Luiz leaving as well as Cash/Targett. Shame, and let’s hope it works as all 4 were key players for DS.
-
I’d like to see us sign Lingard to play off the left.
A CB to compete with Konsa/Mings
And a left back.
I’d also bring Guilbert back from his loan.
-
I’m going to throw one out there - I’d like us to sign Lingaard.
Him and a DM and we’d be sorted.
-
I Hope the links to Joaquin Correa have some truth. Maybe I’m being a little greedy, but looks a good player and a good Grealish replacement.
Him and a CM and I’d be delighted!

Not sure on this one myself, I think we can do better . . .
-
Surprised with went for Ings over Abraham (purely based on age), but these guys know what they’re doing. Great to have two Top 6 strikers in the club!
-
My initial impressions were that this signing didn’t fit our model, and whilst we may get a couple of good seasons out of him, we were pissing money away.
On reflection, he is only one year older than Kane who is worth 125m!!! They have similar output per minute.
Astute signing and one which will push us close to Europe I am sure!
-
For me, I’d want the following given we now look like we will have some extra money:-
ST - (Abraham)
Another AM of similar quality to Buendia, and Bailey (Sarr from Watford)
MC - (JWP)
DC - (Tuanzebe)
GK - (Stephens)
I’d rate us as a vastly better team, even with the loss of Grealish.
-
Imagine keeping Grealish spending 100m on Buendia, Bailey and JWP and getting a couple of experienced free heads like Young and Cahill - what a team and squad we’d have!!

Anyone know anything about Morgan Roberts who City have offered as a 10m make weight?

Still plenty of time to bring players in and not in the slightest bit concerned given how the club has been run these last 3 years.
For me we need the following,
Back up keeper
RCB
DCM - (please be Bissouma!)
Winger
Striker
Anything on top would be a bonus but I think these positions are vital personally.
I think we may be disappointed Trent. Personally I think we’ll only get 3 more. GK, CB, Attacking midfielder.
-
His two assists last night were passes which not even Jack Grealish would attempt. Would be great to have them both in the same team creating in different ways.

But is he better than Rashica??

That Alvarez fella looks more like he will turn into a striker for me - back-up to Watkins?

Looking through reddit and apparently Benfica fans hate Seferovic and want to get rid of him. But then you look at his stats and he has 22 goals and 7 assists last season.
Feels like another Bertrand Traore situation. Could be worthwhile to get in on that situation.
Would rather Embolo - really has something about him! Only 24 too.

For me:-
CB - Tuanzebe Loan with option
LB - ?
AM - Buendia 40mST - Tammy Loan with option
Outs - Heaton, Elmo, Taylor, Engels, Barkley, Hourihane, Wesley, Trez (when back from injury)

We're not getting Sarr. The drama of a massive U-Turn just makes a fantastic headline!
